To my understanding a great deal of the Old Testament is in dire need of reinterpretation, just like Quran. I have found indications that this is true by brief personal examination of the ancient Hebrew which is related to a great extent with Arabic. I master Quran's Arabic better than I do Hebrew, but I saw some serious errors in a translation lately.

Unfortunately my effort goes to Quran for the time being and will for quite some time, perhaps years.

You can find anger and wrath in God's qualities in Qur'an as well.

There is a thread about it here http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9608689.0

Salaam. The problem cut beyond interpretation. The mainstream Old Testament was translated from the masoretic text. The masoretic text is not the original Book of Moses. The closest to the original Book of Moses is the Septuagint.

          Peace everyone,

I find it extremely interesting that the quran denies "allah" being "Allat, Manat, Uzza" or "Isa" or "Ezra" but never denies being "Yahweh". o hmm

The similarity in some of their qualities is also striking, like anger, wrath, revenge etc. o hmm

Further investigation with signs in the horizons and within ourselves (4153, 5120-21) and one's intuition (3030) should clarify the truth and reality for those with mind/reason (482, 2368, 3829) and knowledge (1736).

5120 And on the earth are signs for those who comprehend.

Sumerian clay tablet cuneiform inscriptions predate the old testament by thousands of years and give an indication as to who Yahweh most likely is and how biblical stories originated. It is interesting how those stories found on the clay tablets were copied almost word for word in the "holy works" of later on. People can learn the cuneiform language and go see those clay tablets with their own eyes and read them if they don't believe the translations.

Some interesting archeological findings about Yahweh

I doubt that due to my own brief analysis. The segment said something vastly different in the original Hebrew compared with popular translation.

That about masoteric text is a popular conspiracy theory among certain people, but it does not hold water and I do not give it any merit.

The more likely theory is that the Hebrew writings had the same fate as Quran, i.e. severe deliberate misinterpretation.

Peace! I 'll like to ask if you are aware that the quotations from Old Testament by Jesus and his disciples in the New Testament were the verbatim words of the Septuagint rather than the masoretic text?
It is not a conspiracy theory at all. The Septuagint is the Canon version of the Old Testament among orthodox Churches.

                Peace everyone,

Must watch videos (only for the open minded) about 6000 year old Sumerian clay tablet texts and other archeological artifacts depicting the creation of man, the great flood, astronomical information, flight, winged beings etc.

Alright, but I am studying Jewish Tanakh versions in Hebrew and Aramaic of the relevant scripture and I cannot see it being a translation from another language. The rumor of it being from later years of the first millennium A.D. is unfounded in my opinion since there exists for example the "dead sea scrolls" from some years before Christ, and they have found fragments of writings from the early part of the millennium B.C. which do not indicate any inconsistency. Along with Hebrew versions they also found Greek translations, but that does not say those are the original work.

On the other hand, the translations widely available today 2016 are likely as weak as the one of Quran. They do not resemble what the writings truly say.

And the Gospels in the Bible are very probable (the probability being near 100%) of being translations from Syriac Aramaic. As you see even the Greek testimonies skip translating some of Jesus' Aramaic utterances such as "amen". He did say the whole phrase in Aramaic but the translators kept the Aramaic word amen, perhaps because they were not certain on how to translate it. The Gospels were translated into Greek in order to reach and undermine the Roman empire most probably with their Pagan religion, but for some reason the original utterances made in Aramaic were lost, maybe through burning as it is not the first time authorities burn religious scriptures.

Perhaps the original Aramaic writings are lost with someone else's poor fabricated translation.

And when Jesus says "amen amen" he means "be sure be sure" if translated into English.

It is cool and it gives a grasp on for how long they have held onto such belief. There are some here how claim the current version of the historical events is a fabrication of the first millennium A.D.

The winged elevated beings is however likely a conjecture based on someone seeing something resembling wings in some way, perhaps the radiation of light seeming to make a form like wings. The managers of the universe have no need of physical travel in this world, but they can obviously float above ground in limitless ways.

I wish I could decipher those ancient Sumerian inscriptions, but I do know these people were an advanced civilization passed away due to breaking down due to human instinctive factors. Such as is happening today 2016. Aramaic is a young language in comparison.

I understood that the name el-Wehhaab الْوَهَّابُ is most likely YHWH, not just from similarity in the root, but also in similarities in usages I was able to understand.
