Reality of human souls and where they go after death?

    By Mohammad Rafique Etesame

This is very important question that what is the reality of human souls and where they go after death of man? And there are many societies in Europe that make research on this topic that, when the soul enters the body, the body moves and when it goes out of it, the body becomes motionless? So the question is that what the Islamic point of view about it?

Almighty Allah says in the holy Qur’an, “people ask thee (O Mohammad PBUH) about the soul. Tell them that the soul is by the command of Allah, and you have been given very little knowledge of it” (Al-Isra '1785).

These verses reveal that human soul comes into being by the command of Allah and that people have been given a little knowledge about its reality.
Reality about the soul is that when it enters a body, the body begins to move, and the movements of it can be divided into two parts i.e. to gain profit and to avoid from loss.

If we look at any type of creatures comprising man, animals and earth insects etc., we find the same thing into them.
Reality of the soul is mentioned in the Holy Qur'an as, "For Allah is the creation and the command (amar i.e. soul).” (Surah Ya-seen).

Now, there are two separate things i.e. the command and the creation, and command is called here by word "kun" (Be) as the holy Qur’an reveals, “Whenever We will anything to be, We but say unto it Our word 'Be' -and it is”

    (An-Nahl (The Bee) 1640).

In the other words the reality of the command is in fact to order to any particular thing that, "Do the work for you have been created!"

Therefore, it has been proved that the reality of soul is the command of Allah Almighty word “kun”.

Another question is that where go the souls after death of man? So, according to the holy Qur’an, there are two places for the souls after death, first is Elli-yeen (the mode most lofty) and the second is Sijjin (the mode inescapable). (Al-Mutaffifin 83

This is Islamic belief that souls cannot return to this world after death, because the souls of righteous men visit to Paradise in the shape of green birds, so they have no need to come back to this world, and the souls of infidels and polytheists, they are imprisoned under a bad-smelled black stone ‘sijjin,’ whence they can never return to the world, the holy Qur’an reveals, "Behind them (the souls) is a barzakh (barrier), until the Day of Resurrection, when they will be resurrected." (Al-Qur'an).
So, this is the baseless belief of Hinduism about the dead bodies that when they are burnt, then they back again in this world by taking a new-birth or also as the Reincarnation.

So, if a man wants to gain the real profit and to avoid from the real loss, then he/she should accept the religion of Islam and worship of Allah Almighty. So that he may be among those who will be given the great reward at the Day of Resurrection as it has been mentioned “But ah! Thou soul at peace! Return unto thy Lord, content in His good pleasure! Enter thou among My bondmen! Enter thou My Garden”! (Al-Fajr 30)

Nobody has got ghost according to Quran

Unlike the traditional Islamic doctrine which is under the influence of sects and hadith fabrications, in the real Islamic doctrine of the Quran people have NO ghosts/ souls/ spirits. People do NOT have a divine component, a soul, a spirit nor a ghost.

Everything created in the universe is material, physical and real, NOT an illusion. (for example the first man Adam was made from clay element and the jinn was made from fire element)

Heaven and Hell are NOT mental delusions. They are “physical” places created in another universe.

Unfortunately, terms such as soul- spirit (an immortal divine component, a ghost that can exist on its own without the body even after death) have succeed to enter Islam due to wrong translations -which are made under the influence of hadith fabrications- and Islamic mysticism (sufism). But in the original text of the Quran (Arabic version), they are NOT available.
In the Quran, people have “nafs”, which is the equivalent of “life energy”, “ego”, “character”. People are born, they die and they will be “physically” recreated in the Hereafter

Does the human being think that We will not gather his bones? Indeed, We were able to make his fingertips (The Resurrection, 75 3-4)

As also can be seen in the verses, people do NOT have souls/ spirits, they only have “nefs”, which dies together with the bodily functions. And as again can be understood from the verses “most” of the people will be recreated in the Judgment Day. We use the word “most” because there are some exceptions. The Quran gives the examples of very meritorious people, such as martyrs or prophets and on the other edge some deadly sinners, such as the Pharaoh who committed outrage to his people.

These exceptional people have already started to reap what they have sown. They are either rewarded in Heaven (physically) or punished in Hell (physically).

Examples to the righteous who go to Heaven immediately after their death

      · Do not count that those who are killed in the sake of God are dead. No, they are alive at their Lord receiving provisions. Happy with what God has granted them from His favor, and they rejoice for those who have yet to follow them. There is no fear over them nor do they grieve. (The Family of Imran, 3 169-170)

      · A man came running from the farthest part of the city, saying "O my people, follow the messengers. Follow those who do not ask you for any wage, and are guided. Why should I not serve the One who initiated me, and to Him is your ultimate return? Shall I take gods besides Him? If the Gracious intends any harm for me, their intercession cannot help me in the least, nor can they save me. Then I would be clearly astray. I have acknowledged your Lord, so listen to me! It was said, "Enter Paradise." He said "Oh, how I wish my people only knew of what my Lord has forgiven me, and made me of the honored ones."We did not send down upon his people after him soldiers from the sky; for there was no need to send them down. For all it took was one scream, whereupon they were stilled. (3620-29)

Example to the disbelievers who committed “deadly” sins and tyranny

      · So God protected him from the evil of what they schemed, while the people of Pharaoh have incurred the worst retribution. The fire, which they will be exposed to morning and evening, and on the day when the moment is established "Admit the people of Pharaoh into the most severe of the retribution." (The Believer, 40 45-46)

And the following verses refer to the common/ordinary people, possibly the majority of the disbelievers

      · The horn will be blown, whereupon they will rise from the graves rushing towards their Lord. They will say, "Woe to us. Who has resurrected us from our resting place? This is what the Gracious had promised. The messengers were truthful!" (Ya sin, 36 51-52)

In the Quran the word “Spirit” only refers to the “Holy Ghost/Spirit” and to the messages It brought. For example

We gave Moses the book, and after him, We sent the messengers. Later We gave Jesus son of Mary the clear proofs, and We supported Him with the Holy Spirit. Is it that every time a messenger comes to you with what your minds do not desire, you become arrogant? A group of them you deny, and a group of them you kill! (287)

Such messengers, We have preferred some to others; some of them talked to God, and He raised some of them in ranks, and We gave Jesus son of Mary the proofs and We supported him with the Holy Spirit. Had God wished, the people after them would not have fought after the proofs had come to them, but they disputed, some of them acknowledged and some of them did not appreciate. Had God wished they would not have fought, but God does whatever He wishes. (2253)

God said, "O Jesus son of Mary, recall My blessings upon you and your mother that I supported you with the Holy Spirit; you spoke to the people in the cradle and in old age; and I taught you the book and the wisdom, and the Torah, and the Injeel; and you would create from clay the shape of a bird, then blow into it and it becomes a bird by My leave; and you heal the blind and the leper by My leave; and you brought out the dead by My leave. I have restrained the Children of Israel from you, that you came to them with proofs; but those who rejected amongst them said, "This is an obvious magic!" (5110)

He sends down the angels with the Spirit by His command upon whom He wishes of His servants "That you shall warn that there is no god but I, so be aware of Me." (162)

They ask you concerning the Spirit. Say, "The Spirit is from the command of my Lord, and the knowledge you were given was but very little.” (1785)
It was sent down with the trusted Spirit. (26193)

Possessor of the highest ranks, the One with the Throne. He sends the Spirit with His command upon whom He wills from His servants, so that they may warn of the day of Summoning. (4015)

You will not find any people who acknowledge God and the Last day befriending those who oppose God and His messenger, even if they were their parents, or their children, or their siblings, or their tribe. For these, He decrees trust into their hearts, and supports them with a Spirit from Him, and He admits them into paradises with rivers flowing beneath, wherein they will abide. God is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. These are the party of God. Most assuredly, the party of God are the winners. (5822)

The day when the Spirit and the angels stand in line, none will speak unless the Gracious permits him and he speaks what is true. (783

Some dangers of thinking that people have spirits/ souls

      • Having a belief that people have spirits often leads up to the sanctification of the humans. It leads people to associate himself / herself with God.

      • It also contributes to building up a strong belief of spiritual evolution. As a result of this false belief, in order to evolve spiritually, people praise suffering and pain. When they encounter a disastrous situation, instead of getting out of it, they welcome it and take it as a reward. However, according to the Quran, the bad things that come to us are either to test us or a result of our sins, our own malignancy.

      • Spiritualists regard life as a school where we, as students, learn and mature. These people maintain that suffering / pain is a must for spiritual evolution. Thus, it turns the evil into hidden heroes having a special (key) role in the spiritual evolution process. Those who can read between the lines can easily realize that it glorifies the evil (even Satan). Also spiritualists
tolerate the immoral behaviors of the ones who are not spiritually evolved (!)

      • Belief in the spirits opens the door to reincarnation, which means that we will be different creatures (different gender, different personality, different appearance etc.) in our other lives (!) In other words, it means that a person that dies is gone forever, which is actually a very materialistic point of view again if you read between the lines.

      • Some spiritualists think that death is something positive as spirit confined to the physical body will be set free and unite with God and become one. This deviant view also praises suicides.

      • People, who believe that people have spirits, mostly swap the belief for the Judgment Day with reincarnation and thus, they reject the belief in reward and punishment in the afterlife and eliminate Heaven and Hell, attributing symbolic meanings to both. In addition, they adopt ascetic lifestyles and scorn the beauties, provisions God gives us (in this world and in the other world).

      • People who believe in the spirits are more likely to be cheated by the jinns.

      Regards

HEAVEN IS NOT PARADISE IT IS UNIVERSE

Quran 5122 In the heaven is your provision, and what you are promised. (Paradise and hell are both ready and outside the world, in the sky)

The prophets living in Paradise will be summoned to the court as witnesses on the Day of Judgment

Quran 7711 And when the messengers are gathered.

heaven is not paradise. Heaven =universe
        Heavens = universes

        The Qur'an offers a multi-universe model.

        But it is not infinite.

        Seven universes, for example.

        Other universes have planets too.

65.12 Allah is the one who created seven Heavens and from Earth like them (of corresponding type); command descends among them so that you may know that Allah is capable of anything and that Allah knows everything.

Example "Floor of Lord" (Indallah) = afterlife universe
Except for the Hereafter universe, all the other universes will end with big crunch.

Quran 21104 On the day when We roll up the heavens like a scroll of books is rolled up. As We initiated the first creation, so shall We return it. It is a promise of Ours that We will do this.

Quran 3967 They have not given God His true worth; and the whole earth is within His fist on the day of resurrection, and the heavens will be folded in His right hand. Be He glorified; He is much too high above what they set up.

Quran A man came running from the farthest part of the city, saying "O my people, follow the messengers. (3620-29)

Quran 1956 And recall in the Book, Enoch; he was a man of truth, a prophet.
1957 And We raised him to a high place.

Quran 355 For God said "O Jesus, I will terminate your life, and raise you to Me, and cleanse you of those who have rejected, and make those who have followed you above those who have rejected until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is your return, all of you,so I will judge between you in what it was that you disputed."

Prophets and very good peoples in Paradise now. They were created in Paradise (floor of Lord/other universe) without waiting for the Hour.

But, Other people will wait for the Resurrection for re-creation.

The Qur'an says that a group of exception people are already living in Paradise.

And it even tells us that some of them are talking about the world's inhabitants. They say "they(World peoples) will come to us later". However, it is difficult to see them for you because the English translations of the Qur'an do not provide complete sentences.

Likewise, the verses of the Lord's Floor are also mentioned, but you cannot see it again in English translations. Because, unfortunately, those under the influence of traditional interpretation make translations in their own understanding.

Yes, according to the Qur'an there are already people living in Paradise.

And that's where Christians believe that Jesus is in paradise.

In the false Gospels, the event was described incorrectly, so you could not see the painting until today.

Jesus and all other messengers/ prophets live in paradise now.

Quran 3169 Do not count that those who are killed in the sake of God are dead. No, they are alive at their Lord receiving provisions.

3170 Happy with what God has granted them from His grace, and they rejoice in those who have yet to follow after them. There is no fear upon them nor do they grieve.

517 Ingrates indeed are those who have said, "God is the Messiah the son of Mary." Say, "Who has any power against God if He had wanted to destroy the Messiah son of Mary, and his mother, and all who are on earth!" To God is the sovereignty of heavens and earth and all that is in-between; He creates what He pleases. God is capable of all things. (Jesus and his mother living in other universe, Like other prophets...)

Quran 848 He will then receive an easy reckoning.
849 He will return to his family in joy! (The person who is called from Paradise to the day of judgment will return to Paradise again with joy)

5313 Indeed, he saw him in another descent.
        5314 At the ultimate point.
5315 Next to the eternal Paradise.
(Even when the prophet Muhammad lived in the world, he was taken to visit the universe of the Hereafter/ Floor of Lord)

567 You will be in three groupings.
568 So those on the right; who will be from those on the right?
569 Those on the left; who will be from those on the left?
5610 And those foremost, who will be from those foremost?
(8th verse about peple who after the apocalyptic blessing will enter the paradise, 9th verse about who will enter hell, and the 10th verse talking about the already pioneering group living in Paradise. Thus, the three classes mentioned in verse 7 are completed)

1993 When all there is in the heavens and the earth will but come to the Gracious as servants.

1956 Recall in the book Enoch; he was truthful, a prophet.
1957 We raised him to a high place.
(Enoch is living in Paradise now)

And they(other universes) have got creatures

Quran 4229“And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and of whatever living creatures (daabbah) He has spread forth in both. And He has the power to gather them together whenever he pleases”

So, this is the baseless belief of Hinduism about the dead bodies that when they are burnt, then they back again in this world by taking a new-birth or also as the Reincarnation.

Eastern traditions (Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, and hundreds of others) burn the dead bodies to 'release attachment from the living' and it's not a requirement for 'taking a new birth'.

(Physical) Death can be caused by many events, blown up, burnt, organ malfunction or even thrown to outer space. Regardless of the events, it's only the 'outer layer' of the Jiva (soul) that's being peeled off there remains other layers of the Jiva (soul) which formulate an identity / perspective for the consciousness. When the soul still have an attachment to this (virtual) world, he/she/it will not continue the journey and metaphorically 'stuck'.

Sleep for example is a mini death, where the unit of consciousness is focusing on the other layer of the soul while the physical layer goes into hibernation. It may go back focusing on the physical layer and also may not. Ponder your own sleep experience and notice how the memory of your 'sleep state' is different than your 'wakeful state'. And also notice that 'what makes you' as an identity is tightly correlated with your memory. Memory formed an identity. When the memory are being reset you will form a new identity.

Just like death, sleep is a natural process, you don't 'go to sleep' you 'let sleep come when it's time'.

The space/time is a virtual reality(VR), upon sleeping (or death) the unit of consciousness contained by jiva / soul does not go anywhere, as where implies a specific location in space and time. It logged off from a VR realm and logged in to a different VR realm.

As thus it also implies that Jiva or Soul is also actually a virtual construct.
Just like an avatar in this web forum and this web forum itself is a virtual construct.

Where will jafar goes after his death on this webforum? (or the death of this webforum?)
He will focus on other (virtual) reality,
He doesn't 'go anywhere' as this webforum and also jafar by itself is a virtual construct.
