    Assalamuallaikum,

So I have been having some doubts and its because of a guy called the rationalizer and here is his blog

    https//embryologyinthequran.blogspot.com/2012/08/5-lump-of-flesh-mudghah.html

Can anybody please refute this? Or link me a refutation to this article?

I have also found these videos and is there any possible way of refuting them as well or telling me your opinion on them

    https//youtu.be/YJUu1wfUzec

    Salam and thank you

I believe that Quran is not a book of science but of guidance for mankind. There are many verses which folks try to take out of context such as flat earth and likes.
Hence you will find many verses which supports the scientific universal sort of facts and then some which do not, but again science itself is never ending. Did science tells us where we come from? and where we departs when we are dead? I believe Quran is for those people who wants to have faith that there can be only one creator who is the lord of worlds and that he wants us to be kind to other creations and be accountable for our actions and perhaps there will be a new world created where all of us will be fairly judged and God is merciful.

One can not for certain knows What is the truth. So don't burn yourself or overkill.
      I would say to you

and worship your Lord until the inevitable comes your way

So brother have faith in the unseen and have belief and hopefully God will make you see things in the right perspectives.

        @ Fusion..
Well bro.. Yes Quran is a book for guidance, Warning, Hope, law and truth and real narration of past and future etc etc... But Quran talks about methodical way... Then real science and those methodical ways explained in Quran cannot be discarded... Can they? Well stationary earth or spinning earth is a different story.. Science tell us it is spinning so people believe... We can't witness... Whatever we can't witness is not science... But embryology is a subject that we can witness and science has developed and almost showing us the exact picture... And people learn about it and that cannot be denied unless everyone got it wrong... So embryology is subject cannot be neglected... If Quran is not a book of science then needless to mention about scientific factors or rather matters that modern science can tangibly prove... Since it is mentioned in Quran it needs thorough study what exactly Quran mentioned and what exactly real embryology is according to science.. So never say Quran is not a book of science.. But it has... Unless Quran doesn't need to mention three layers of darkness.. Just enough to say We created you.. No need to in depth explanation.. In depth explanation means it is science and need verification with reality...

        Note verse 225
O People, if you should be in doubt about the Resurrection, then indeed, We created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then from a clinging clot, and then from a lump of flesh, formed and unformed - that We may show you. And We settle in the wombs whom We will for a specified term, then We bring you out as a child, and then that you may reach your maturity. And among you is he who is taken in death, and among you is he who is returned to the most decrepit age so that he knows, after knowledge, nothing. And you see the earth barren, but when We send down upon it rain, it quivers and swells and grows of every beautiful kind."

Well... Why would God ask 'O people of you should be in doubt of Day of Resurrection... " and explain embryology... Would that make sense to people of Mohamed...? No way... Do you have any idea how many people would have read the verses of embryology in Quran and got guidance and believed in God and git convinced in modern era? Similarly how many of them disbelieved in God in confusion with science... So bro. Dibt underestimate science in Quran .. God has placed verses only for guidance regardless of time... Same Quran can misguide... Seek the truth...

        @Muslim123
What is your doubt? .. Is it science that explains the embryology or Quran that explains embryology? Explain to us the real science of embryology and meanwhile explain to us what Quranic science explains about embryology word by word... So even anyone who doesn't know embryology subject would get... Isn't that fair..? To have doubt you first should know perfectly remember perfectly what and how embryology works.. Explain both science and Quran... So anyone who is knowledgeable in Quran would explain what exactly quran stated and anyone who is knowledgeable in embryology would explain... Just simply saying you have doubt means readers understand you...

It’s not really a doubt I just want to know how to debunk these arguments especially arguments in this article that all.

            Peace MUSLIM123
            Welcome.
1- Doubt can be a very good thing or the opposite.
A good thing in that one is not certain and keeps looking/checking and asking questions.
Or a bad thing if we give up and disregard what we have doubt about completely.

Or if we are certain the rebuttal is evidenced , We should have no doubt at all.

2- I am not an embryologist or claim that I know much about the subject. However I know a lot about our creator that leaves me with no doubt at all that our universe and life on earth have been designed and created by this perfect designer /creator with perfect Science. i.e GOD-to me- created them for us
Because I am certain man s Science has not initiated/created our universe, us , animals ,plants and elements in it. /i.e life.
Or can our Science refute this?

3- To me the article in question is basing the argument on disputed meanings of words. Absolutely not evidenced but assumed. One can argue the other way as well but there are questions to be asked on both sides
So do we trust our Science or is our Science still improving?
Do we trust GOD s Science? We should, if we believe Qoran is GOD s words- because our creator has set the standard to our Science to keep investigating and learning to find more answers. Actually to have more proofs and evidence that there is no doubt that the creator exist and is the initiator of our universe, life on earth and us.
Keep asking questions and investigating brother/sister, you are on the right track if you are doing something about your doubts.
            GOD bless you.
            Peace.

I just wanted to point out to everyone one that I have titled this forum in a bad way. I don’t really have doubts on this since there are refutations and since I speak Arabic I have a lot of refutations concerning this topic. The reason I did this is because I THOUGHT the person who wrote this seemed to have caused lots of fuss so I was wondering if there is a refutation. But as it seems most Muslims are just countering stuff against websites like wiki Islam or answering Islam so must be that he is not that popular.

                Peace MUSLIM123.

It is interesting that you have no doubt anymore.
Glad to know you have sorted the issue.
By the way, most of us here have nothing to do with Traditional Islam, Saudi Arabia or manipulating some Scientific miracles by misleading Scientists to agree with Qoran.

For example I am not a Traditional Muslim, It is not my business to refute anti Muslim sites. I have checked the site answering Islam and it is answering the wrong type of Islam, the one full of misinterpretations and misunderstanding of Qoran. In fact most of it comes from the problematic books of hadiths.

Since you say you speak Arabic, , check Qoran and see what it says . Most of the issue topics have been discussed here. as well.

                Thank you for your clarification.
                GOD bless you.
                Peace.

It doesn't matter how you entered to this forum... God knows your heart... If you believe in Quran perhaps. Why you need to debunk another person's claim.. It never ends... Just verify youraelf whether what Quran states and the reality are same or not... Be self satisfied.... Argue with Quran and reality but what is the point of debunking one and another and list goes on... For example for whatever reasons I realized that Earth and heavens mentioned in Quran is different to what we learned in college... But I presented my view strongly within Quran verses and the reality... Buy never went after debunking... All we need is truth... God knows what He created and He speaks about his creations in Quran... So no harm verifying with reality and Hus explanations in Quran... If reality is spinning and if it matches with God's verses then no harm... If doesn't matches then better explore... Debunking is useless... You can't... You will never. .. But you can always prove the Quran is right coz it is true.. But who will accept other than believers..... So keep debunking if you wish.. It's your life...

The guy is using hadiths to debunk hadither Hamza. It might work there since hadiths typically are used to change Arabic words into what they call Islamic words. For instance, ibadah means service but hadithers will tell you it means worship. So yep, Hamza should be sticking to meanings from hadiths.

I believe that Quran is not a book of science but of guidance for mankind.

The guidance does rely heavily on science but not the myth driven mainstream one. Some things are supposed to stay unsaid even if the evil keeps prevailing '(
