The men are supporters/maintainers of the women with what God bestowed on some of them over others and with what they spent of their money, so the righteous women are dutiful; guardians to the unseen with what God guarded. And as for those women you fear their disloyalty, then (first) you shall advise them, and (second) abandon them in the bed, and (lastly) cite them. So if they obeyed you, then seek not against them a way; Truly, God is High, Great.
And if you (authority) feared a rift between them two, then appoint a judge from his family and a judge from hers. If they both want to reconcile, then God will bring agreement between them. God is Knowledgeable, Expert.

I find that I benefit more from working with others in my study of Qoran.
GOD s words are deeper and stronger than the simple one word meaning in any translation. I find Qoran s words richer and detailed than just picking a single word to translate a sentence word for word,
The more people get together for study of Qoran ,the more learning each gets out of it.
If we take your example of 2941 brother Wakas ,one can use a number of words that can fit and explain the details more like
2941

The allegory/example of those who take/make/rely on/ accept other masters beside God is like that of the spider and her home- that she makes/takes and relies on( for her livelihood);- the flimsiest/weakest of all homes is the home of the spider, if they only knew.*.
مَثَلُ الَّذينَ اتَّخَذوا مِن دونِ اللَّهِ أَولِياءَ كَمَثَلِ العَنكَبوتِ اتَّخَذَت بَيتًا وَإِنَّ أَوهَنَ البُيوتِ لَبَيتُ العَنكَبوتِ لَو كانوا يَعلَمونَ

Group study is necessary for more views/ideas and comparisons of how others understand Qoran. Especially people with different skills and specialities/expertise. of different practical skills and different qualifications.
