    Quran abolished slavery

And the subject of slavery is constantly being asked and discussed. Although some authors have made necessary explanations on this subject, I thought I would mention it.

The Qur'an forbade slavery and declared that people are equal.

As stated in the Qur'an, even the prophets do not have the authority to take slaves. Servitude-slavery to something other than Allah, that is, created is one of the greatest sins

    Zumer
    29. GOD gives the example of a man with conflicting partners and a man who is dependent on a single person. Will these two ever be equal? Praise is to GOD. But many do not know.

(Man has only one master, and that is our Lord. Servitude-slavery to anyone other than the Almighty Creator is shirk, and in this verse, those who serve only Allah and those who are created are compared with an example. And it is stated that these two are not the same.)

Religion They have taken the scholars, the priests, and the Messiah, son of Mary, as lords (masters) after GOD. However, they were commanded to serve only one God. There is no god but Him. He is Higher than those whom he associates with. (

931 ) Say 'People of the Books! Come to a principle that is the same between us and you that we should not serve anyone but Allah, and that we should not associate anything with Him, and that neither of us should take the other as lords after Allah. If they do not accept, bear witness, we are Muslims! say. (3 64)

    Surah Ali Imran
Verse 79 No one to whom Allah has given the book, knowledge and prophethood has the authority to stand up and say to people "Be a servant to me, not to Allah". But "Become the soldiers of Allah's way because you are teaching the book and taking lessons!" says.

Surah Hud Verse 2 That is, do not be a servant to anyone but Allah! I am a prophet sent by Him to give good news and warn you!

    Surah Anbiya,
Verse 98 "You and those you serve as slaves besides Allah are the firewood of Hell. You will all enter there."

No Muslim could acquire slaves after the religion of Islam (the periods when true Islam in the Qur'an was practiced). But the cessation of slaves from the period of ignorance took place step by step. The verses command the release of the slaves in the smallest thing, financial assistance to them, and getting them married if the age has come. For example

    5 Maide Surah
89 GOD does not hold you responsible for your random oaths. However, it holds you accountable for what you knowingly do. If you break your oath, the punishment is to feed or clothe ten poor people from the food you usually feed your family, or release a slave. Whoever cannot find it should fast for three days. This is the punishment for your willful oaths. Keep your vows. This is how Allah explains His verses so that you may respond well.

    BELED
    12. Do you know what the hard way is?
    13. To liberate slaves;

It is clearly stated that even prisoners of war cannot be enslaved.

"When you finally prevail, take them captive; release them either free of charge or for ransom. Apply this until the war situation is over. "(47-4)

Allah, with a slave who has no power and is the property of someone else, secretly and openly from the beautiful sustenance We have given him. He gives as an example the one who spends in the way of Allah. Are they ever equal? Praise be to Allah, but most of them do not know. (Nahl 75)

Here again, a person who serves other than Allah is compared with a free person who serves only Allah, and slavery is condemned. We also see in the verse that wealth is held above poverty. These and similar verses indicate that servitude should only be against Allah.

And in fact, in a religion where even stealing is prohibited, slavery, that is, stealing human freedom, is completely abolished.

Think about it, while it is forbidden to even take a person's car or pen without permission, it is highly prohibited to acquire a slave by stealing that person's self.

In other words, if you cannot take even one item of a person without permission, it means that you cannot make that person a slave to you by force.

And again, as stated in the verses, since all people are free to believe and live as they wish, slavery is prohibited in the religion of Islam, due to the world of testing.

    Greetings and love.

The Quran completely abolishes slavery. So it suddenly removes it without a phase.

However, since non-Muslim slave owners and non-Muslim countries do not abandon their slaves, the liberation of those slaves by Muslims involves stages/times.

The slave emancipation desired in the verses is the stage of freeing the slaves of non-Muslims from them.

Already, Muslims cannot acquire slaves, nor can they become slaves.

And the fact that the Holy Qur'an forbids slavery, whereas the fake Bibles on the market, far from forbidding slavery, command the acquisition of slaves, proves yet another aspect of the fact that the Qur'an is the only true holy book we have at the moment.

The Qur'an does not explicitly condemn slavery or attempt to abolish it.

Misconception Islam and The Quran promotes slavery

Background Some think that when Muslims conquered territory, slaves were often taken or that slavery is allowed in Islam.

When the Quran was revealed, slavery was in wide practice throughout the Arab World, thus, it would have been impractical and detrimental to place an immediate ban on the slave trade, forcing all slaves into unemployment/poverty. The Quran uses a better psychological approach to win people’s hearts in the struggle against slavery and all forms of discrimination by placing a strong emphasis on human dignity and equality and encouraging the freeing of slaves

Did we not show him the two paths? He should choose the difficult path. Which one is the difficult path? The freeing of slaves. Feeding, during the time of hardship...

Righteousness is not turning your faces towards the east or the west. Righteous are those who believe in God, the Last Day, the angels, the scripture, and the prophets; and they give the money, cheerfully, to the relatives, the orphans, the needy, the traveller, the beggars, and to free the slaves...

The Quran lists the penalty for various misdemeanours as freeing of slaves, see 492, 589, 583. It also implies distribution of community/collective charities would contribute towards freeing of slaves

The charities are to go to the poor, and the needy, and those who work to collect them, and those whose hearts have been united, and to free the slaves, and those in debt, and in the cause of God, and the traveller. A duty from God, and God is Knowledgeable, Wise.

The only method mentioned in The Quran for gaining captives (more correctly termed 'prisoners of war', not slaves) is during warfare, after which they must be released or ransomed. Keeping them is not an option

Therefore, if you encounter those who deny the truth (in warfare), then bring about the captives until when you have subdued/overcome them, then strengthen the bind. Then after either grace/favour or ransom, until the war lays down its burdens. That, and had God willed, surely He would have gained victory Himself from them, but He tests some of you with others. And those who get killed in the cause of God, He will never let their deeds be put to waste.

Interestingly, in the above verse, it implies a preference for taking captives rather than killing the enemy in warfare.

As can clearly be seen, taking all of the above verses of The Quran into account, it would lead to a gradual reduction in slave numbers and eventually abolish slavery.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

The Qur'an prohibits and forbids slavery all at once.

One can only be a slave to Allah. Slavery to servants(humans/jinns) is forbidden.

I see it as a fight against slavery.

So more than the slaves you own, I see it as liberating the slaves owned by others and not freed by their owners.

It is not permissible to fight for the liberation of slaves on the one hand, and on the other hand to acquire new slaves.

Also, non-Muslims are not going to free their slaves anyway. You should strive for their freedom.

It cannot be slaves we/you own.

The only way you can explain it is to argue it refers to freeing the slaves of non-believers, because believers would not have slaves if it was forbidden/abolished as you claim.

Also your argument means you are equating the terms "abid" with "raqab". I do not consider this approach sound when considering a law that affects everyone, i.e. you claim Quran states something important in a roundabout way.

As a side note to my knowledge, traditional Islamic history does not record a sudden ban on slavery/slaves. Not that I take traditions as strong evidence but it is something to consider.

Thus in terms of evidence, this view is more cogent imho

This thing called history, like hadiths, is full of lies and traps.

The Quran gives the only true history.

The Quran does not say it indirectly, it directly forbids slavery and servitude to humans...

There can be no process other than the release of prisoners of war.

You cannot even take a person's pen without permission, because theft is forbidden.

You cannot take the person himself, you cannot hold him by force, you cannot kidnap him.

                      People are equal.

Does it matter anymore if slavery was abolished at once or in steps? What truly matters is that in today's modern world, it is universally recognized as inhuman to have slaves, whether from an Islamic point of view or not. Future generations of humanity are increasingly inclined towards a secular code of conduct, and perhaps 1000+ years from now, religious books might become a thing of the past, replaced by new codes or world orders.

Looking forward, I believe that the new world order could be based on equality, irrespective of religion or caste, and will likely embrace new concepts such as LGBTQ+ rights. How morally aligned this future society will be with the ideals of God is a significant question???

Alternatively, humanity might face wars and disintegration, potentially regressing to a stone age-like existence.

In essence, a form of slavery still prevails in many aspects of practical life today, in almost every country. The "yes sir" or "yes boss" concept in offices and the job system, which is rooted in capitalism, has made many people slaves to loans and mortgages. This form of economic bondage can be far more dangerous than being a slave to another person.

Imre and Waqas, regardless of the historical details, we can agree that the spirit of the Quran promotes justice, equality, and the ultimate freedom of individuals. In today's context, these values are crucial as we strive towards a more just and humane society.

                        Greetings and love.

                          Brother Fusion,
You are talking my language ,the language of the Qoran and the language of the righteous.

Slavery has merely taken on another form. GOD makes the law and also gives us the freedom of choice. Many humans abuse GOD s law.
The majority of our fellow humans have no regard for GOD s law or GOD s way or GOD s message.

Look around the world and see the acts ,hypocrisy and games of the strong nations , slavery is hiding under systems and they are enslaving their own subjects politically ,economically and socially.
Most of the world nations are forcing their subjects to follow rules that have not been agreed with them and control them with a burden of taxes and debts that keeps them slaves to the state.

It does not matter that GOD s law instructs justice, equality, freedom of choice and mutual agreements for obligations. The behaviour and morals of most of the humans is the culprit.
GOD s plan and purpose will eventually happen regardless.
                          GOD bless you.
                          Peace.
