Nobody has got ghost according to Quran
-
Unlike the traditional Islamic doctrine which is under the influence of sects and hadith fabrications, in the real Islamic doctrine of the Quran people have NO ghosts/ souls/ spirits. People do NOT have a divine component, a soul, a spirit nor a ghost.
Everything created in the universe is material, physical and real, NOT an illusion. (for example the first man Adam was made from clay element and the jinn was made from fire element)
Paradise and Hell are NOT mental delusions. They are "physical" places created in another universe.
Unfortunately, terms such as soul- spirit (an immortal divine component, a ghost that can exist on its own without the body even after death) have succeed to enter Islam due to wrong translations -which are made under the influence of hadith fabrications- and Islamic mysticism (sufism). But in the original text of the Quran (Arabic version), they are NOT available.
In the Quran, people have "nafs", which is the equivalent of "life energy", "ego", "character". People are born, they die and they will be "physically" recreated in the Hereafter
Does the human being think that We will not gather his bones? Indeed, We were able to make his fingertips (The Resurrection, 75 3-4)
As also can be seen in the verses, people do NOT have souls/ spirits, they only have "nefs", which dies together with the bodily functions. And as again can be understood from the verses "most" of the people will be recreated in the Judgment Day. We use the word "most" because there are some exceptions. The Quran gives the examples of very meritorious people, such as martyrs or prophets and on the other edge some deadly sinners, such as the Pharaoh who committed outrage to his people.
These exceptional people have already started to reap what they have sown. They are either rewarded in Paradise (physically) or punished in Hell (physically).
Examples to the righteous who go to Heaven immediately after their death
· Do not count that those who are killed in the sake of God are dead. No, they are alive at their Lord receiving provisions. Happy with what God has granted them from His favor, and they rejoice for those who have yet to follow them. There is no fear over them nor do they grieve. (The Family of Imran, 3 169-170)
· A man came running from the farthest part of the city, saying "O my people, follow the messengers. Follow those who do not ask you for any wage, and are guided. Why should I not serve the One who initiated me, and to Him is your ultimate return? Shall I take gods besides Him? If the Gracious intends any harm for me, their intercession cannot help me in the least, nor can they save me. Then I would be clearly astray. I have acknowledged your Lord, so listen to me! It was said, "Enter Paradise." He said "Oh, how I wish my people only knew of what my Lord has forgiven me, and made me of the honored ones."We did not send down upon his people after him soldiers from the sky; for there was no need to send them down. For all it took was one scream, whereupon they were stilled. (3620-29)
Example to the disbelievers who committed "deadly" sins and tyranny
· So God protected him from the evil of what they schemed, while the people of Pharaoh have incurred the worst retribution. The fire, which they will be exposed to morning and evening, and on the day when the moment is established "Admit the people of Pharaoh into the most severe of the retribution." (The Believer, 40 45-46)
And the following verses refer to the common/ordinary people, possibly the majority of the disbelievers
· The horn will be blown, whereupon they will rise from the graves rushing towards their Lord. They will say, "Woe to us. Who has resurrected us from our resting place? This is what the Gracious had promised. The messengers were truthful!" (Ya sin, 36 51-52)
In the Quran the word "Spirit" only refers to the "Holy Ghost/Spirit" and to the messages It brought. For example
We gave Moses the book, and after him, We sent the messengers. Later We gave Jesus son of Mary the clear proofs, and We supported Him with the Holy Spirit. Is it that every time a messenger comes to you with what your minds do not desire, you become arrogant? A group of them you deny, and a group of them you kill! (287)
Such messengers, We have preferred some to others; some of them talked to God, and He raised some of them in ranks, and We gave Jesus son of Mary the proofs and We supported him with the Holy Spirit. Had God wished, the people after them would not have fought after the proofs had come to them, but they disputed, some of them acknowledged and some of them did not appreciate. Had God wished they would not have fought, but God does whatever He wishes. (2253)
God said, "O Jesus son of Mary, recall My blessings upon you and your mother that I supported you with the Holy Spirit; you spoke to the people in the cradle and in old age; and I taught you the book and the wisdom, and the Torah, and the Injeel; and you would create from clay the shape of a bird, then blow into it and it becomes a bird by My leave; and you heal the blind and the leper by My leave; and you brought out the dead by My leave. I have restrained the Children of Israel from you, that you came to them with proofs; but those who rejected amongst them said, "This is an obvious magic!" (5110)
He sends down the angels with the Spirit by His command upon whom He wishes of His servants "That you shall warn that there is no god but I, so be aware of Me." (162)
They ask you concerning the Spirit. Say, "The Spirit is from the command of my Lord, and the knowledge you were given was but very little." (1785)
It was sent down with the trusted Spirit. (26193)Possessor of the highest ranks, the One with the Throne. He sends the Spirit with His command upon whom He wills from His servants, so that they may warn of the day of Summoning. (4015)
You will not find any people who acknowledge God and the Last day befriending those who oppose God and His messenger, even if they were their parents, or their children, or their siblings, or their tribe. For these, He decrees trust into their hearts, and supports them with a Spirit from Him, and He admits them into paradises with rivers flowing beneath, wherein they will abide. God is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. These are the party of God. Most assuredly, the party of God are the winners. (5822)
The day when the Spirit and the angels stand in line, none will speak unless the Gracious permits him and he speaks what is true. (783
Some dangers of thinking that people have spirits/ souls
-
Having a belief that people have spirits often leads up to the sanctification of the humans. It leads people to associate himself / herself with God.
-
It also contributes to building up a strong belief of spiritual evolution. As a result of this false belief, in order to evolve spiritually, people praise suffering and pain. When they encounter a disastrous situation, instead of getting out of it, they welcome it and take it as a reward. However, according to the Quran, the bad things that come to us are either to test us or a result of our sins, our own malignancy.
-
Spiritualists regard life as a school where we, as students, learn and mature. These people maintain that suffering / pain is a must for spiritual evolution. Thus, it turns the evil into hidden heroes having a special (key) role in the spiritual evolution process. Those who can read between the lines can easily realize that it glorifies the evil (even Satan). Also spiritualists
tolerate the immoral behaviors of the ones who are not spiritually evolved (!) -
Belief in the spirits opens the door to reincarnation, which means that we will be different creatures (different gender, different personality, different appearance etc.) in our other lives (!) In other words, it means that a person that dies is gone forever, which is actually a very materialistic point of view again if you read between the lines.
-
Some spiritualists think that death is something positive as spirit confined to the physical body will be set free and unite with God and become one. This deviant view also praises suicides.
-
People, who believe that people have spirits, mostly swap the belief for the Judgment Day with reincarnation and thus, they reject the belief in reward and punishment in the afterlife and eliminate Paradise and Hell, attributing symbolic meanings to both. In addition, they adopt ascetic lifestyles and scorn the beauties, provisions God gives us (in this world and in the other world).
-
People who believe in the spirits are more likely to be cheated by the jinns.
1- Spirit is revelation,
2- holy spirit (the angel messenger conveying the message, revelation angel)
3- and revelation book (Quran).
Spirit= revelation.
Let's give examples.
1- Revelation
Quran "So when I perfect him, and blow of My Spirit in him, you shall fall prostrate to him."2- Revelation Angel (Cebrail).
Quran 1917. Thus, she kept herself in seclusion from people. Then We sent to her Our spirit, and it appeared before her in the form of a perfect man.3- Revelation Book/Quran
Quran 4252 And thus We have revealed to you an inspiration of Our command. You did not know what is the Book or faith, but We have made it a light by which We guide whom We will of Our servants. And indeed, , you guide to a straight path -spirit = revelation.
And basic verses in our body like AdamQuran 3030So direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth. the fitrah of Allah upon which He has created people. No change should there be in the creation of Allah . That is the correct religion, but most of the people do not know.
We are obliged to direct the truth through the verses inside
And In the Qur'an, the spirit word is passed in singular form. The word "ervah", which is a plural of spirit, never goes in verses. This gives us another proof of the absence of souls.
-
-
And in many translations of the Qur'an the word spirit has been erroneously added to many verses. Except in the cases I have given examples above, the word spirit is never mentioned in the Qur'an. All these erroneous translations should be corrected and the word spirit/spirits should be removed from the translations.
For example, the verse that talks about taking the lifes/nafs of people while they sleep has been erroneously translated as taking their spirits while they sleep. In reality there is no souls/spirits in the verse.
The word spirit is used only a few times in the Qur'an and as I mentioned in my article, it means revelation (revelation, angel of revelation and book of revelation).
-
In fact, the belief in spirits comes from paganism and is completely non-religious.
The Spiritualism doctrine is a modern-day version of this paganism. It has been tried to be introduced into the Islamic world under the name of Sufism and into the Jewish world under the name of Kabbalah.

Whatever you spread is stinking worse than the rest of the shits of human beings. Either you let your shit go directly into the pit or you recycle by licking every time you poop so that others won't smell your nasty shit. Have you got it, lady, what do you mean No soul?
The human body is just a vessel.
We die and our body will completely decompose or if they burn it will become ash overnight. That's the end of the body. Man's genuine and all-important soul would go to deep sleep or directly to Heaven with another vessel. The one who went to deep sleep will be resurrected with a new body like Allah re-creates the Earth and Heavens and they are not the same though it may look the same.
They ask in the hereafter 'How long did you stay there?'. To raise this question the most important part is the SOUL. And it is ONE. The soul remained in a different body in the previous life and in the same soul would enter to another body in the hereafter. Two bodies and One SOUL in two dimensions. They are vessels.
It's so shameful that you don't realize your soul and vomiting your recycled shit on others' clean minds. When your fkng body is no more, your soul will not have any connection to the world you lived in for ages. The soul is screened so that it won't have a connection to the world. Don't you read these verses? Why vomit your dirty shit? Do you think it smells pleasant fragrance? Own shit smells pleasant for everyone that's why they remain with it. But don't bring that out. voodoo

Time-Timelessness and The Floor of the Lord
Our Creator exists beyond time and space. He created both time and space from nothing.
However, as an observer and ruler (from the outside), He is present in all points of space and all points of time...
Past...................................Present...................................Future
We, on the other hand, exist only in the present and are traveling towards future points.
But our Lord does not journey forward from one point like we do.
Concepts such as past, future, and present belong to us.
For Him, such a journey does not exist.
He observes and manages every point in time.
There is no need for Him to go there or travel, because just as He is present in the past, He is also present in the future at the same time, and, again, just as He is present at our current point in time...
When people hear "timelessness," they imagine a state where only the ticking of a wristwatch has stopped while everything else continues as normal. No, timelessness is something entirely different, as I've described above, and is a state beyond our imagination. It means the absence of separate concepts like past, future, and present.
Just as we know that our Lord is beyond space, does not travel within the universe, but as a ruler exists and works in every point of space from the outside, similarly, our timeless Lord also exists beyond time but, as a ruler and observer, is present at every point in time.
If we were to board a time machine and travel to the future or the past, we would find that God is already managing that period as well. Additionally, He would be managing the time inside the time machine, too...
But let us emphasize again
As a being, God is not within anything, and He is separate from all that He has created.
He is beyond time and space.
It is we who exist within time and space. These were created for us, after all...
And because our Lord is distinct from all that He has created, nothing He has created is a part of Him or a reflection of Him, and therefore associating partners with Him is a grave sin.
112 - Surah Al-Ikhlas
-
He neither begets nor is born!
-
And there is none comparable to Him!
From here, I would like to bring the discussion to the concept of the "Floor of the Lord" mentioned in the Quran.
I believe that the phrase "the Floor of the Lord" is used in two different meanings in the Quran
1- In the sense of being in the sight of God...
2- In the sense of the afterlife universe, where the realm of eternity exists.
In the Quran, the phrase "the Floor of the Lord" refers to the afterlife universe, which has different physical laws from ours. For example, unlike in our universe, life is eternal there, and there is no aging or decay of matter.
And in this "Floor of the Lord," time flows differently than in our world
"Indeed, a day in the sight of your Lord is like a thousand years of what you count." (Quran, 2247)
Since our Lord is timeless, the phrase "the Floor of the Lord" here is not used in the sense of "in God's sight" but rather in the sense of the "afterlife universe." While a thousand years pass in our world, only one day passes on the Floor of the Lord.
Surely, Almighty Allah created this space from nothing. But He has named this place "the Floor of the Lord." Just like the phrases "Allah's Throne," "Allah's servant," or "Allah's messenger," it is a designation...
Surah Hajj 47 They ask you to hasten the punishment. But Allah will never fail in His promise. Verily, a day in the sight of your Lord is like a thousand years of what you count.
Surah Al-Baqarah 112 Yes, whoever submits their face to Allah and does good deeds will have their reward with their Lord. There will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve.
Surah Al-Imran 15 Say, "Shall I inform you of something better than what has been mentioned? For those who fear Allah, with their Lord, are gardens beneath which rivers flow, where they will live forever, and pure spouses, and the pleasure of Allah." Allah sees His servants well.
Surah Al-An'am 127 For them, with their Lord, is the abode of peace, and He will be their guardian because of what they used to do.
Surah Al-A'raf 206 Those who are with your Lord do not turn away from His worship out of pride; they glorify Him and bow only to Him.
Heaven and hell already exist, and some exceptional individuals have already been bodily created there and have begun to experience their punishment or reward without waiting for the Day of Judgment (as it is known, other people will wait for resurrection and judgment on that day). For example
"Do not think of those who are killed in the way of Allah as dead. No, they are alive, receiving sustenance from their Lord."
"They rejoice in what Allah has granted them out of His bounty and give good news to those who have not yet joined them but will follow, saying 'There will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve.'" (Surah Al-Imran, 169-170)
According to these verses
1- While other deceased people are truly dead (waiting for resurrection), martyrs, in contrast, are alive.
2- They are living in blessings at the Floor of the Lord (in the afterlife universe).
3- While they are speaking in paradise, they give good news about people who are still in the world and/or who have not yet been resurrected after death (they say words meaning that they will also join them in paradise later).
However, an important point to note here is that the people currently in paradise (at the Floor of the Lord) are also embodied like us, meaning they are physically alive. According to the Quran, there is no such thing as a realm of spirits or spiritual life. The afterlife is also bodily. In fact, all created beings, including angels and jinn, are material beings (for example, while we were created from earth, the jinn were created from fire). For more on this topic, you can read my article titled "There Are No Souls or Ghosts in Islam."
Zariyat 5122
Your provision is in the sky, and what you are threatened with is also there.Hadid 5721
Race towards forgiveness from your Lord and a paradise as wide as the heavens and the earth, prepared for those who believe in Allah and His Messenger. That is Allah’s bounty, which He bestows upon whomever He wills. Allah is the Possessor of great bounty.Paradise is described as being as vast as the heavens and the earth. In other words, it is indicated that paradise is as large as our universe. This is further evidence that the eternal realm is an entirely separate universe with its own physical laws. So, the place in question is not the size of a garden or a city, but a dimension as massive as the cosmos we live in, with planets and skies.
In short, the Floor of the Lord is again the name of a place created by Allah from nothing. The eternal realm exists in that universe, it already has inhabitants, and it is waiting for others.
Peace and love.

The Afterlife Universe (Floor of the Lord) and Eternal Life
The beings living in the afterlife universe (the Floor of the Lord) are immortal and live forever without aging (in a fixed form). After the resurrection, humans will begin their lives in this afterlife universe, but some exceptional people (such as martyrs and prophets) are already living in paradise physically and bodily
Do not think of those who are killed in the way of Allah as dead! On the contrary, they are alive, receiving provision in the presence of their Lord.
They rejoice in what Allah has bestowed upon them out of His bounty and give good news about those who have not yet joined them as martyrs “There will be no fear upon them, nor will they grieve.” (Ali Imran, 3169-170)
Maryam (1956-57)
56. And mention in the Book, Idris. Indeed, he was a man of truth and a prophet.
57. And We raised him to a high place.Ali Imran (355)
And when Allah said “O Jesus, I will take your soul and raise you to Myself and purify you from those who disbelieve and make those who follow you superior to those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me will be your return, and I will judge between you concerning that in which you used to differ.”Other than these exceptional people, the rest will begin their afterlife existence after the Day of Judgment.
And in the Floor of the Lord (that is, the afterlife universe with different physical laws), life is eternal
An-Nisa (4122)
But those who believe and do righteous deeds, We will admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow, where they will remain forever. It is the promise of Allah, and who is more truthful in statement than Allah?Ar-Ra’d (1324)
“Peace be upon you for what you patiently endured! And excellent is the final home!”The idea of eternal life in the afterlife is seen as strange by some people, and they express confusion, asking questions like, "Doesn't that make those beings divine?"
First of all, we, as created beings, have a beginning—we are not eternal. Additionally, we are always subject to time and space. In contrast, the Almighty Allah is beyond time and space.
We, as servants with a beginning who travel through time, will always remain limited beings.
Returning to the afterlife; there, life will continue forever, but our age will never be infinite. This is because our existence has a starting point, and each passing year will add to our age, which will keep increasing but always remain a finite number.
1…789…1122333…12233499988779…
Each passing year will add to our previous age, and no matter how much it grows, it will never reach infinity. However, this process will continue indefinitely.
In short, the afterlife existence is eternal, but the ages of those living there will always remain finite. Something that has a beginning is finite when looking back. However, the journey forward will continue infinitely.
No matter how much a person's age in paradise increases, if we rewind the timeline, we will find a beginning. The duration (years, age) will keep growing, but since it has a beginning, it will always correspond to a finite number.
By the way, the mathematical concept of imaginary infinite lengths, where one end is closed and the other is open, is entirely incorrect.
For something to be infinitely long, it must be both without a beginning and eternal.
If a path, even when going backward, has an end, then that path is finite.
During the journey, the numbers simply get bigger, but no matter how large they get, they never reach infinity.
A…B…C…
The distance between point A and the reached point will always remain a certain length.
The afterlife will continue forward infinitely, but as I said, if we rewind the tape, we will find a beginning, and the path (backward) will end there.
In short, we will live forever, but our age will never be infinite (because we have a beginning). We will be eternal, but since we are not pre-existing and must travel through time and space, we will remain limited beings.
The only one who is limitless, beyond time and space, is our Lord. Additionally, the fact that the beings in the afterlife universe will live forever is a situation that occurs by the will and creation of our Lord. The Almighty Creator exists eternally without needing anything, while His servants can only exist thanks to Him. This situation is explained in the verses
Hud (11107-10
As long as the heavens and the earth endure, they will remain there, except as your Lord wills. Indeed, your Lord is the doer of whatever He wills.
As for those who were blessed with happiness, they will remain in paradise as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except as your Lord wills. It is an uninterrupted reward. The Almighty Allah tells us that we will exist forever because He wills it.
And He says, "If I do not will otherwise, I will never remove them from there."
And He promises not to remove them.
In other words, "If I want, I can change this decree, but since I want those in paradise to remain there forever, they will stay," He is expressing.
When we consider all of this, we can easily see that living forever does not make us divine, and just like in this worldly life, we will always remain servants.
Peace and love.

THE CORRUPTIONS CAUSED BY THE BELIEF IN A HUMAN SOUL
-
The belief in a divine piece (soul) belonging to humans opens the door wide to the deification of humans, leading to the emergence of holy individuals and despicable clergy who are worshipped.
-
Due to the belief in a human soul, many people believe in the fallacy of spiritual evolution. As a result, they may oppress themselves or think that suffering will mature them, failing to act eagerly to escape calamities. However, according to the Quran, misfortunes are not signs of goodness but warnings due to our sins.
-
The belief in a human soul leads clergy to think they can become superhuman beings. They turn away from worldly blessings, believing this sanctifies them, viewing this perversion as a virtue. Some even reject the blessings of paradise, seeking only divinization (the belief in union).
-
Because of the belief in a divine soul, death is mistakenly seen as a good thing. According to this belief, the soul is imprisoned in the body, and death means the soul's liberation and union. Unfortunately, this unhealthy idea diminishes the value placed on human life among those who believe in souls.
-
The belief in a human soul also causes many people to believe in reincarnation. This implies that in every rebirth, a person becomes a completely different being. Without realizing it, this belief means the person who dies ceases to exist entirely and will never return. If someone is reborn in another body, personality, or even as another gender or species, the current self ceases to exist permanently—an idea ultimately rooted in materialism.
-
The concept of a soul mate is prevalent in many spiritual teachings. As a result, there is a fallacy that only those united with their soul mate can evolve and find happiness. This slyly includes restrictions or prohibitions on sexuality.
-
The belief in a human soul and the fallacy of spiritual evolution lead people to the mistaken notion that sinning is necessary. They believe that the soul, sent to the world to evolve, must sin and suffer to mature on the path to perfection. This belief infiltrated Judaism through Kabbalah and Islam through Sufi teachings.
-
The belief in an immortal human soul causes some to deny the bodily resurrection and the material reality of the afterlife. Since spiritualists often disdain matter—some even loathe it—they claim eternal life can only exist as a soul, not a body. They interpret verses describing the material afterlife symbolically, indirectly rejecting them.
-
Some spiritualists not only fail to give thanks for this material universe created by Allah but insult it by calling it “filthy.” They harbor hatred and treachery toward the beauties Allah created for us, worshipping their fabricated realm beyond matter and striving to reach it.
-
The belief in the evolution of the soul results in discrimination and superiority at personal and societal levels. Just as some people are deemed superior to others, some races are also considered superior. Some spiritualists believe that blond-haired, blue-eyed people represent evolved, superior humans. Even Hitler’s atrocities were rooted in this spiritual-racial deviation. He committed his known madness based on directives he believed he received from a "great spirit" through mediums.
-
Belief in souls makes people more susceptible to the deceptions of jinn. During séances, they either fall for charlatans' lies or the jinn's lies, who impersonate spirits. Those who think they have communicated with the spirits of deceased loved ones or famous individuals may take the information they receive in these sessions as absolute truth, leading them astray.

A participant with the nickname "antiateist" on another forum asked me
"You say there is no soul, but in America, the FBI works with psychics. Psychics communicate with the souls of the dead??"
MY RESPONSE
That’s exactly what I’m saying—they are actually jinn. They do you a few small favors, but in the long run, they lay the groundwork for massive deception. They deliberately target famous figures and instill spiritualism in them.If ghosts truly existed, no murder would remain unsolved, and the victim's soul would always take its revenge. There would be no need for psychics; the spirits themselves would make the killer’s life a living hell.
As I’ve said before, they change their disguise according to trends—sometimes appearing as spirits, sometimes as aliens, or as higher-dimensional divine beings to ensnare people. At first, they gain trust by offering minor favors (for example, they once told Cenk Koray that he had healing powers), but in the long run, they spread spiritualism.
Look around—we are going through dark times. Turkey and the U.S. seem to be their primary targets. They infiltrate communication channels, implant false memories of reincarnation into young children's minds, and even subtly insert this belief system into Islam.
They previously devastated Germany. Now, they have turned their focus here. In the coming years, they are steadily working toward a reality where those who don’t believe in spirits and reincarnation will be labeled as fanatics. You already know how the evolution hoax was carefully ingrained in people's minds.
This is no joke—especially for us. This army of jinn, masked in love and wisdom, is working day and night to dominate both the scientific and religious worlds.
Unless you turn to the Quran and understand true Islam and its teachings, you will not recognize these traps. Yesterday, you were made to believe in spirits (for the religious) and evolution (for some religious people and all materialists); today, it's reincarnation’s turn.
Humans do not have a divine part, an immortal soul, a ghost, or a lingering spirit. Islam and the Quran came to combat this pagan belief.
Peace.

The Quran emphasizes that on the Day of Judgment, it is not a person's abstract soul or spiritual memory that will bear witness against them, but rather the members of their own body.
"On a Day when their tongues, their hands, and their feet will bear witness against them for what they used to do." (An-Nur, 2424)
"And they will say to their skins, 'Why have you testified against us?' They will say, 'We were made to speak by Allah, who has made everything speak.'" (Fussilat, 4121)
The Location of Memory If a person's true identity, consciousness, and memory were stored in an immortal soul separate from the body, it would be logical for the testimony to come from that soul. However, the Quran states that the record of memory and deeds is kept within the physical body itself, and that this resurrected body will speak. This directly supports the thesis that the nafs (personality, self, ego) is an inseparable whole with the body.
The Quran describes the criminals who face Hell or the Day of Judgment as reacting not with a lesson learned from their soul's torment, but as if they have awakened from nothingness or sleep to face reality for the first time. Their desire is not for their souls to be purified, but to be physically returned to the world.
"If you could but see when the criminals hang their heads before their Lord, , 'Our Lord, we have seen and heard, so return us ; we will do righteousness. Indeed, we are certain.'" (As-Sajdah, 3212)
This is not the statement of a being who has lived a conscious intermediate life after death. Their saying, "We have seen and heard," shows that they are comprehending this reality now—that is, when they are resurrected. Their desire to return and "do righteous deeds" confirms their knowledge that action, and thus the nafs, is only possible in the world with a physical body.
Everything in our universe will perish (other universes will also perish; the only exception is the Universe of the Hereafter, which is a physical place named the Floor of the Lord, and that is the universe that will exist forever)
"Everyone upon it (the earth) will perish (fân). But will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor (bâkî)." (Ar-Rahman, 5526-27)
Therefore, every nafs in our universe will also taste perishing, that is, death. No one in this universe has an immortal part.
As I said, immortality is only in the abode of eternity, that is, in the Universe of the Hereafter called the Floor of the Lord

7:172 When your Lord took from the children of Adam from their backs, their progeny; and He made them witness over themselves: "Am I not your Lord?" They said, "Yes, we bear witness." Thus you cannot say on the day of Resurrection that you were unaware of this
Here, the promise we made in the mother's womb before birth is being mentioned. So, when this promise was made, we were already created and had physically begun to live in a material sense. In short, this is not referring to spirits/ghosts, but to living physical organisms, to the body.

May I share a thought Emre? The verse says “from their loins, their progeny,” which in Arabic usually refers to lineage i.e. generations brought forth from earlier ones rather than a specific stage inside the womb.
Could it be that the verse is describing the ongoing process of human creation where each new generation carries within itself that built-in awareness of its Lord? In that way, “Am I not your Lord?” isn’t a single prenatal moment, but a truth that every human life quietly affirms through existence itself. ?
Note:
In Arabic ظهر literally means back but its also used naturally to mean lineage or descendants. Even here in Arabia you sometimes hear people say “هذا من ظهري” meaning “this one is from my line,” not that someone was physically in the back or womb. -
Hi Fusion; even if we take it in the idiomatic sense you mentioned, we still arrive at the same interpretation. From the moment people are created or become conscious in their mother's womb, they are made to bear witness and a covenant is taken from them. The fundamental divine knowledge, that is, the basic revelation, is encoded into the individuals' genes. Indeed, the verse states that individuals are made to bear witness against their own selves. "...making them bear witness against their own selves..."
The Arabic original of this part is as follows:
...وَأَشْهَدَهُمْ عَلَىٰ أَنفُسِهِمْ... (...wa ashhadahum ʿalā anfusihim...)
The word أَنفُسِهِمْ (anfusihim) used here is the plural of نَفْس (nafs) and means "their own selves,"
Therefore, the verse clearly states that God makes people bear witness against their very own selves/inner beings. So naturally, this is a process that continues for generations, as the same procedure is applied to every human being. The fundamental revelation that makes us responsible is instilled in us while we are being created in the womb, and for this reason, we are obligated to have faith in the verses of the Quran that are in harmony with the "verses" within us. The following verse also continues its narrative in this direction:
7:173 Nor can you say, "It was our fathers who set up partners before and we were simply a progeny who came after them. Would You destroy us for what the innovators did
