Lots of research says that marrying cousins is not good

Cousin marriage is wonderful. The fact that the Quran allows it is one of the proofs that it is a holy book. Look, it does not command you to marry your cousins, it only permits it, meaning it does not prohibit it. Moreover, not everyone marries to have children. For example, a person who is infertile can still get married. So why should marrying cousins be forbidden? The correct approach is for it to be allowed.

The Quran allows marrying your cousins and lots of people say it’s bad, including scientists.
Anyway, what are your thoughts on that?
ThanksPeace Ervin,

Marriage between cousins generally isn't considered to be a great risk for birth defects or genetic disease, but there are some considerations to keep in mindRisk of autosomal recessive genetic disorders
Children of first-cousin marriages have a 4–6% risk of autosomal recessive genetic disorders, compared to 3% for children of unrelated parents.God bless you

Yes the best guidance is we can see with our eyes, that cousin marriage are not that good, i have personally seen around 10 cases within my close circles with kids affected. Some force their kids into such kind of marriages just to safeguard wealth, or expecting richness or with some superstitious wrong ideas. if those are really loving the partner and think that they are doing in Goodness ways, its OK, otherwise better avoid.

Peace, thanks Amin, well if it’s bad marrying your cousins, how can the Quran then be true? It’s a simple question, I’m just honestly exploring, I haven’t rejected the Quran.
I’ve just edited or how can even Tanak ( the Old Testament) than be good because it also allows cousins marrying, not just cousins but also nieces and honestly that’s going even further than the Quran and I would never be able to do that.
Thanks

Correct. The increased genetic risk of ~ 2% in cousin marriages applies when both individuals carry the same inherited gene for a recessive disorder, such as cystic fibrosis or sickle cell anemia common in specific populations.
If neither person carries a defective gene, the risk is comparable to that of unrelated couples.
The rest is human bias (pick any topic), like comparing it to a human egg that locks in the initial and locks out everything competitive, then shouts at the world to reinforce its beliefs.
How ideas spread, and it matters not if you show clear proof—people will not turn and will instead protect their ‘thoughts’ like an ostrich fiercely protects its egg because it’s their egg.
