jkhan, you should notice that el-melaa'ika is used as feminine and masculine, and it can't have the same meaning all the time. This fact, that names can have different meanings, wasn't known to melaa'ika before they met Aadem. In 230 when Allah told them that He's one who's making khaleefa in 'erD they thought that it means that "only one will survive" (be left "behind", literally) and that's why they were afraid that Allah intends to create somebody who'll kill all of them (create fesaad and shed blood). Luckily, we know that words can have multiple meanings, so melaa'ika has. Otherwise if you say that, for example, mu'min means "a believer" then you can't explain what His name El-Mu'min means.

Here is a good start jkhan, you may find this info useful.

From reading the Quran I deduce that the jinn are misunderstood, and your Arabic is superior to mind. Having said that here is what I would like to share with you. Why Jinn cannot be other creature than human beings? Reason # 1– Jinn & Ins = Bashar. Throughout the Qur’an, it is told that all the messengers were Bashar(human)
“You are but only Bashar/Human like us. Then bring us a sign if you are of the truthful.” (Al Qur’an 26154)

And “O you jinns and Ins, did you not receive messengers from among you, who narrated to you My revelations, and warned you about the meeting of this day? They will say, “We bear witness against ourselves.” They were totally preoccupied with the worldly life, and they will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers.” (Al Qur’an 6130)

Say, “If angels walked about and dwelled on the earth, We would have sent an angel from the heaven as messenger.” (Al Qur’an 1795)

This Insha'Allah is very important to understand
“There were men(Rijāl) from among Ins who used to seek help from the men(Rijāl) among the Jinn, but they only helped increase them in sin.” (Al Qur’an 726)
Rijal, what does it mean? Have a look rijall 1Rā-Jīm-Lām= walk, to go on foot. to comb, to let down, behave like a man; to walk all the way, to become a man, reach the age of manhood, grow up; to act like a man

Mostly people use Chapter Al-Rahman in support of their mythical theory on jinn.

Their beautiful mates were never touched by any human or jinn. If one focus on these verses in depth, the chapter doesn’t prove jinn as other creature than a human being. Does that chapter really prove Jinn as other creature than human beings? how comes the ships, pearls, hanging fruits, mates, and fountains be marvels for the invisible creature, physically made of fire? How can they have forelocks and feet? (5241)

Conclusion The root of “Jinn” is “jīm nūn nūn”, which means concealed, darkness, insanity/madness, hidden (my personal addition sneaky)

Therefore in my opinion 72 8&9 are metaphorical.

      God bless you

      peace

I wish I had seen you highlighted comment... Anyway for whatever reason I have seen it now.. What a blasphemy... Bring evidence for your #1 reason.. Bashar is human being only in entire Quran.. Read below link all Bashar verses.. Do you think they are Jinns as well.. That's a blasphemy.. You can't speak on what you have no knowledge of... Did Allah tell you in Quran that JINN and Men are Bashar..
Bashar is human being like you and me and they are visible tangible touchable gor other human beings.. Read all Bashar verses in Quran and if possible I challenge you bring at least a verse close enough for you claim so.. You will never..
If you fail then remember that Allah created Bashar by clay and Jinn by fire..

It has same meaning in every verse of Quran.. Do you have any issues in it.. Bring evidence.
Malaika are status given to creature called Jinn who are created by fire..
Yes in other languages people may give meaning of malak. Even in Arabic they may try to give meaning to malaika. No harm...

Those who say and those who support jinn is Bashar .. What they think even malak is Bashar..
Are malak jinn human three different creatures of two or one..?
Even how much one argues malak is a creature none other than jinn...
Just coz we can't see any malak in this earth though literally they are for various purposes, can we consider them also part of human being.. Lol...

          Again;

Satan is the adjective name given to the wicked, deviant ones of jinn and humans.

Iblis is the special name of that famous jinn devil(The Jinn who made Adam and his wife eat the forbidden fruit). That is a personal name.

Surah Nas briefly explains the subject

          Holy Quran

1141 Say "I seek refuge with the Lord of the people,"

1142 "The King of the people,"

1143 "The god of the people,"

1144 "From the evil of the sneaking whisperer,"

1145 "Who whispers into the chests of the people."

1146 "From the Jinn and the people."

If humans were created from earth/clay, the jinn were created from fire. They are material and biological beings like us. They just have different physical properties than us (such as being invisible).

          Peace

            Hi every one,

Jinn created from fire, meaning the fire we know today, the flame or does this mean Some sort of Energy?
Humans from clay, jinn from fire and angels from light/noor is what I read in different articles.'
I also read that humans like creature were always there on earth, God only choses one couple from em and enlighten to make adam and eve.
Furthermore, before mankind inhabited earth, there lived on it a species which could sustain the extremely high temperature that was prevalent at that time. Then only that type of creation could exist. That creation has ceased to exist now and has been replaced by human beings, so Jinns were there and no more.
            Reference 1526-27
This truth has been narrated before through the story of, Adam (2/30). Creation of man was initiated with a life-cell produced by the combination of water and clay moulded out of bleak loam. Before the earth was inhabited by human-beings, there existed another creation called ‘Jinn’ (since extinct) which had the capacity to endure intense heat as it was created out of steam fire.

I have no opinion of my own just saying what I have come across and now in this forum we have noconvergence over what is Jinn.

            cheers

The invisible man must be a Jinn then?

Angels from light is just a conventional myth.. Malaika are Jinns undeniably aa a creature and malaika is elite status on chosen Jinns... So Malaika is created by fire.. Bring proof from. quran if malak is created from light.. Thank you

God is the Most Great, all praise and glory belongs to God, there is no god but God, there is no power or might except in God, none are worthy of worship except God, God is the King and Protector and Lord and Light and Ruler and Creator of the heavens and the earth and evrything in them.

Yes, astral projection is real, speaking from direct experience, I once went out of my body and saw my body sleep from outside it as some kind of energy or light form.

And yes, satan and his demons and devils (may the hellfire be their rightful resting place) can see you where you cannot see them. I was attacked from behind by a powerful demon, he saw me all the time while I sensed and recognized him only when he was very close to me.

That wasn't the first time I meet a demon. I have both encountered two demons, satan himself and a dark-spirit (all of them deafeted) and these things have attacked me at least over 20 times, and surely, over 20 failure attacks there has been.

Understand this, all this stuff is real. The Quran doesn't talk about this stuff for fun. Cuz the Quran knows. It's from God. God knows. And God Witnesses that these entities exists, and He created them. They exists, by Truth. By it being the case. Absolutely.

                  1. Spirits. Angels. Demons. Dark-spirits.
                  2. The soul.
                  3. The Hereafter, other dimensions, heaven realms, hell realms.
                  4. Paranormal abilities and experiences.

All these exists and are real.

Atheist-materialism is falsehood in all areas.

The brain is nothing and produces nothing. Matter is not fundamental. Reality is Spirit. You are not the body. You are immaterial. God exists.

I look away petrified and in terror from atheism and everything about it.

You are lost. what are highlighted creatures?

Sahih International 'And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire.' 5515

Jinn are not made from fire, they're made from 'smokeless fire'. For all we know, it could mean electricity (though I'm not claiming it is). Perhaps they're made of gas but I still think their nature is spiritual and in a different dimension to the material realm although they can also be a part of it.

The jinn being just a different type of human theory doesn't make sense because jinn are invisible. We cannot see them but they can see us. even if you were to say, it's more about not knowing their minds since their minds are different, that still wouldn't make sense because we also don't know human beings' minds inside out. But then again, maybe I'm wrong here if the original verse I posted only refers to the bad jinn i.e. Satan and his tribe

'O Children of Adam! Let not Satan seduce you as he caused your (first) parents to go forth from the Garden and tore off from them their robe (of innocence) that he might manifest their shame to them. Lo! he seeth you, he and his tribe, from whence ye see him not. Lo! We have made the devils protecting friends for those who believe not.' 727

I wonder if prophet Sulaiman could see his jinn workers...

Even if we were to entertain the idea of jinn being a different type of human, why is it that nobody has or at least 99.9% of people have never seen a human who can get an object from a different place at the speed of light? That would be equal to a person teleporting...it always made more sense to me that a creature with such ability cannot possibly be human.

Plus, why would God make a distinction between humans and jinn as if they're a different species if they're not?

Yes you are saying correct, they created from flame, not fire, means they are flyable.
We human little bit different, because we have potential kinetic energy. Jinn is energy too, but they are dominant to us sometimes.because we created basically from water and soil. Our body contains mostly water.
