Today, I'd like to share some thought-provoking verses that might inspire deep reflection and a deeper understanding of faith's true meaning and blessings in this life.

The Qur'an mainly focuses on the rewards of the afterlife, since they are eternal and lasting, but it also points to blessings in this life. To illustrate, verses 2:201-202 clearly show the value of blessings in this life alongside the rewards of the afterlife, teaching believers to ask God for sustenance, well-being, and success in this world, and for forgiveness and eternal rewards beyond this life. Therefore, it is worth reflecting on the verses that show worldly rewards as well.

These verses reveal the practical and spiritual benefits of faith, showing how it guides, strengthens, and fullfills life.

God remembers those who remember God

2:152 so remember Me, and I shall remember you; and be grateful unto Me, and deny Me not.

God helps those who help (support) God

    47:7 O you who have attained to faith! If you help [the cause of] God, He will help you, and will make firm your steps;

God calls on the faithful to ask God for good in this life and the afterlife

2:200-202 ...For there are people who [merely] pray, "O our Sustainer! Give us in this world" -and such shall not partake in the blessings of the life to come. But there are among them such as pray, "O our Sustainer! Grant us good in this world and good in the life to come, and keep us safe from suffering through the fire": it is these. that shall have their portion [of happiness] in return for what they have earned. And God is swift in reckoning.

God promises a good life to the believers who do righteous deeds

16:97 As for anyone - be it man or woman - who does righteous deeds, and is a believer withal - him shall We most certainly cause to live a good life. and most certainly shall We grant unto such as these their reward in accordance with the best that they ever did.

God elevates and secures those who uphold faith and righteousness

24:55 God has promised those of you who have attained to faith and do righteous deeds that, of a certainty, He will cause them to accede to power on earth, even as He caused [some of] those who lived before them to accede to it; and that, of a certainty, He will firmly establish for them the religion which He has been pleased to bestow on them; and that, of a certainty, He will cause their erstwhile state of fear to be replaced by a sense of security [seeing that] they worship Me [alone], not ascribing divine powers to aught beside Me. But all who, after [having understood] this, choose to deny the truth - it is they, they who are truly iniquitous!

God elevated and secured Joseph for his unshakable faith and righteousness

12:56 And thus We established Joseph securely in the land [of Egypt]: he had full mastery over it, [doing] whatever he willed. [Thus do] We cause Our grace to alight upon whomever We will; and We do not fail to requite the doers of good.

Those who stand firm in faith and do righteous deeds will receive God’s support, inner strength, and eventual stability and security on earth in this life, as taught in 2:152, 47:7, 2:200-202, 16:97, 24:55, and exemplified through the story of Joseph in 12:56.

In the story of Joseph, 12:56 mirrors the promise of 24:55, by showing a real-life example of God giving authority, stability, and security to a believer who remained faithful and patient through all his trials and tribulations, and lived a life of true righteousness.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

          • Be honest ,genuine and transparent with people and yourself
          • Be consistent with the standards you set for yourself and be fair and just with everyone else.

I just want to say thank you to everyone here. I really enjoyed this place and learned a lot over the years. Honestly moderators, It makes me sad that the site is now read-only and we can’t continue like before. Reddit is not the same as having our own dedicated site, but I guess this is how things move in life.

I feel lucky that I got to know many good people here. Thank you again.
