Ammar or 3ammar, as in 3ammar Bin Yasir one of the famous Sahaba of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), is a name of a man. I supposed that the member using the screen name Ammar should be a man UNLESS that person him/herself does not know that!!! I didn't think of that before roll I just supposed from the screen name that he/she must be a he! But hey, let's ask Ammar Are you a man or a woman?
My screen name is also confusing. Some members here think I am a man! Because Taj = Tiara is not usually used for women! -
oh man . Elke and TAJ are women !!! . and Andya and Ayman are men shock !!! ok . got it .
actually "ayman" is a girls' name in pakistan and andya sounded to me like a indian girls' name and TAJ is a boys' name roll
what about u zenje ? cuz ur name doesnt fall in either category . ?

Ammar I don't see anything wrong with acting, personally if you see that you are doing a righteous thing then thats ok. If you want to be a model Quranic believer then strive and do something righteous, maybe acting can be a good righteous thing. If it gets you a lot of money you can do good with that, if you have a talent don't waste it. It's your gift.

AOA guys ... oK i know i-ve posted the same question over n oiver again and u guys r prolly sick of me already ..
I want to become an actor .. want to act in Pakistani Dramas or Bollywood films .. now i keep thinking over and over in my head if its allowed in islam or not ?
I cant find any verses but still not sure ... u know when u hear things from ppl it makes u a bit doubtful ... I wanna convince myself thats its allowed but yeah ...
have any of u watched Paki (no offense) dramas or bollywood films ? if yes then u prolly know what it involves (haha nothing nassty ) ?
Someone pleeeease help me and avoind me tinking bout this over n over again ....Khi- Yes i watched them. Indian movies contain parts of pooja n idol worship which i consider forbidden even in a movie. it is a disgrace 2wards GOD. If u wanna act otherwise i believe thts fine but then again if there r pooja scenes n u know become part of them in a way tht ur on the side of the good guys n theyr the ones doing pooja or in other words u share their belief as part of the movie then tht too wld be a disgrace 2wards GOD. I see in other forums they have a gender icon... maybe it's time we implement that. Btw my own name is unconventional , it's true that I sometimes get mistaken for a girl ? My parents are just trying to be creative back then I guess.

why a gender icon ??? We're just people sharing our ideas on subjects and i don't think gender is so important! I saw ammar telling me "man" and i didn't even react lol

ElkeYes, I too agree gender is not important (well if you want to marry someone then of course it is "very" important -).) But I think you can easily tell if Damon is a guy and TAJ is a women because men and women write differently. Damon's writing is very masculine and TAJ's well, very feminine -)
I guessed Ayman was a guy by his writing but I thought zenje was a japanese guy! The name Ambar is very feminine too me but Ambar is a guy! -) Elke I thought was a name of a North American deer -)
mquran and tanveer are diffinately males I think! -) Though tanveer sounds too much feminine... -)
Systall could be a man though could be wrong on this. And Thor is definately a man!
Andya Prymandya I thought was indian guy but turns out to be Indonesian guy.
Oh well this was interesting guessing game... -)

Back to showbiz.I seriously can't see anything wrong with acting, and there is nothing in the Quran that is against it. Isn't the Quran full of stories? Are they supposed to be held in our imagination only? I don't think so! So why are you so hesitant, Ammar? If you have the talent, and I believe you do, it will always nag you. So go for it. Don't waste any more time! JUST DO IT! You won't know the ins and outs of it until you try it. Please, go introduce yourself to agents and see what they say. I am sure you won't return empty-handed. I am very optimistic for you )

I disagree with assuming what people are by the style in which they write although it works for the majority there are a few men who are feminine and women who are masculine!
But anyway you are right because TAJ seems to sound feminine to me now and Im shocked that I didn't realise that before!
