Khi- I dont know whther we can call it reincaranation. GOD gives us the example of Adam and his wife who after disobeying GOD were SENT DOWN FROM HEAVEN. Their shame got exposed to them and they were thrusted down into a body on this earth which we call human being.
He thus duped them with lies. As soon as they tasted the tree, their bodies became visible to them, and they tried to cover themselves with the leaves of Paradise. Their Lord called upon them "Did I not enjoin you from that tree, and warn you that the devil is your most ardent enemy?"
He said, "Go down as enemies of one another. On earth shall be your habitation and provision for awhile."
Ofcourse we are not responsible for Adam and Eve's sin as the Christians would like us to think for the Qurasn clearly says that everyone is reponsible for his own deeds. Hence this is an example GOD gives of how souls who are disobedient are THRUSTED DOWN ON A PLANET WHICH WE ARE TODAY. Get my point now?- You analogize, using the example of Adam and Adam's spouse , that we are here on earth because they disobeyed God. Adam and Adam's spouse were told to go down and settle on earth .
Also, are we supposed to be responsible for whatever we have done in our 'life before' although we have no idea what we did wrong?
Khi- GOD has erased our previous memories. He has given us another chance. If we remebered our previous state then it would be much too easy for us. GOD tests us in a considerable manner. moreover our memories before might have been very large and our current brains would not be able to bear that burden in this state. Hence the danger of overload which could lead to insanity. And yes we are responsible. Lemme give you a example. If a person commits a murder under full conscious. He doesnt get caught for years. A year after committing the murder he has a car accident which causes him to forget his murder. Now he has been found guilty after another year. Should he not be punished for his crime which he committed before under full conscience? I think he should. GOD Bless!

1a. What was it that we do before we were born?
1b. If a newborn baby dies before having committed any wrongdoing in his/her present lifetime, then would the baby's soul be held accountable for sins from his/her former life?-
Why do you think that Adam's expulsion can be generalized to all mankind being born into this Earth caused by similar reasons? Does it not run counter to the common understanding that Adam is a unique case?

Overall I still get the impression that you are trying to force a modified original sin/karma concept into the Qur'anic worldview. Why do you think this is necessary, and what is wrong with the common concept, that of innocence in birth, in which humans have no sin at all at birth?
