I feel i don't deserve God's mercy.. my sin was not done out of ignorance. i can just picture myself rotting in the afterlife. i haven't even forgiven myself, i havent forgiven my inlaws. sometimes i pray for a severe punishment in this life from God.. but it hasn't come yet unfortunately i think. i feel like i have hit a spiritual rockbottom because of what happened. what do i do? i need a lot help, spiritually.

      Hello Khadija,

This is a very tradgic story -(
And very brave of you to share it with us.
You have done your best to not to go through with it. You have asked for help from your family and sadly that help did not come to you. And you ended up doing something that was against your deep insticts, your beliefs and that is very sad and painful.

No man can feel the pain that you are going through, the pain you are suffering now. And nothing anyone can say or do will alleivate that pain for you. Only time will heal that wound. Only time will allow you to come to terms with this event. All I can say to you is that do not underestimate God's Mercy and Compassion...We are all frail and fallible human beings, we are full of defects...the actions can't be undone, so try to cultivate and nurture some compassion for yourself and also compassion for those that are less fortunate than you, those that you have around you so that through compassion you may redeem yourself from your pain so that you can move on and continue with your life...

      Regards,

        Peace sister,

I simply have a question as to how far into the pregnancy you were?

As for God's mercy, you would be surprized how merciful and forgiving the Lord of the univers is to His creation

"Say 'O My servants who transgressed against themselves, do not despair of God's mercy. For God forgives all sins. He is the Forgiver, the Merciful.'? (The Message 3951)

            Peace to you, my sister.

I'm so terribly sorry for your loss and for what you have been through.

You have much to deal with right now--your loss and your guilt, as well as your physical discomfort. Please be as kind to yourself as you can, and be open to God's Healing Mercy and His forgiveness. And please do give yourself time to heal.

Although it's very difficult to see in the midst of sadness, none of us knows what good may come out of our tragedies or mistakes. Nor do we know with any certainty what we might do when faced with a desperate situation.

Since I cannot be there with you to hold your hand and comfort you, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. May God bless you and watch over you in this time of need.

              Peace be upon you Sister,

              As the verse Myr mentioned states;

As prophet Abraham said "who despair from the mercy of The God are only the wrongdoers"

So PLEASE do not despair! D

Please do not THINK that I am taking your situation lightly. I understand, as much as a man can, what is weighing on you, but I must deal with what I am surely verifying as the truth, that you can change your thoughts in an INSTANT! Yuo just have to be PATIENTLY PERSISTENT in managing your thoughts.

Your remorse for what has happened and your turning to the character(face) of the God is all that is needed. SO what is there to have EMOTIONS about? You should get back to a peaceful state of mind as soon as possible, anything else is unnatural and causes problems all the way to your health. Your blood moves away from the organs that need it and goes to a "fight or flight" program(the bodies adherenence to LAW is amazing).

Anyway, my point was that I agree that you should stop despairing at once. I learned a very good technique. Force yourself to SMILE. WILL IT!

What this does is this, when you are enjoying pleasure, you SMILE, so a connection becomes built between smiling and pleasure that comes from PEACE. So when you make yourself smile, it triggers those reactions in the brain. But as with anything, you must be vigilant in removing negative thoughts/images from your mind that come to you.

I end with the statement we are suppossed to greet with

              PEACE be upon you! D

                Peace sister

I feel so terrible for you. The way to gain forgiveness is by learning of the mistakes that you make. Trust God. And another time, dont trust people who argue that killing is better before God, than having paper matters streight.

                Kind Regards
                Noah

                  Salaamun Alaik,
                  Dear Sister,

                  May Allah give you sabr.

The best way I found is as follows

They said "Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves and if You do not forgive us and have mercy on us, then we will be of the losers!" 723

There is one more in a singular form but I don't remember the reference. Sorry for that... its somewhat like

Rabbi inniy zalamtu nafsi faghfirli, wa illam taghfirli wa tarhamni lanakoonanna minal khasireen

Sister, ask Allah for forgiveness that has been taught to us in different verses.

                  Regards,

                  MMKhan
