diversifacation at free minds
-
assalam u alaikum guys,
upon my experience at free-minds i have come up with the following there are infinitely many types of muslims on this forum. let me elaborate on my issue these types of muslims are
- people who follow "19"/submitters
- people, like myself, who claim to follow quran alone, reject ahadith completely.
- people who follow the quran and parts of te ahadith(the traditionalists)
- people who contradict themselves.
- people who learn to use logic and knowledge to verify and solve issues.
- people who admire other other people.
- people, like myself, takes the wording of the quran for granted.
- people who just criticize other people.
- people who interpret the quran literally.
- people who are part literate and young(like me, this forum has many members who has a long way to go in life Exphoenix1)
- people who act as aggressors, attempting to assert authority or refutr the opinions of other "humble members" with limited knowledge on the topipc.
- people who reflect and learn from mistakes(a very strong example is dr. no because he tried to disprove the quran at another forum using the "ant story" but later he used verse 226"god does not shy away from the example of a mosquito" to verify that that story could be an allegory for something else, there are many other good examples scattered throughout this forum)
- people who want attention(like me, of course) ;D
14.people, like me, who have read the site intro and "other articles" and believed them to be true! (i was introduced to this site in december, i was confused and lost until february 21, thus registering on this forum i was studing the quran like i never had before, and voila, i found info on it which could really transform some of the ideas in this life if applied at the right place and at the right time) - last, but not least, people who posses the knowledge of both the scripture and wisdom. they are the WINNERS from both quranic and my perspective.
to wrap it all up, my last statement is despite the diversity, most of us posses a healthy mind which is ripe for picking out the fruits(understand and communicate and get something out of it ).
P.S. if you do not belong in any of the category i listed, then know mmy ability to percieve information and reflect upon my life is limited. surely, god grants knowledge to whom he wills. happy reading ;D

Peace mr. humble,
If you don't mind I'll add my (literal) 2 bits.
16. People of other religions
17. Aethists/Agnostics, etc.I'm sure the sub-categories can go on and on too. )
Yet you'll find a member addressing everyone else as one group - "you people" or "free-minders". )

peace zenje,

16. People of other religions
17. Aethists/Agnostics, etc.thanks for your input, you said that people adress the members of this forum as one group, i do that sometimes, inadvertantly.
using the deductive process, one could learn about others by what they say, the eye-contacts they give you and a combination of both(how they describe the messsage they want to get across) and what they do, (which we, unfortunately, wouldn't spy on other people using this forum )
