Of course, I forgot that 'people' like yourself don't actually go back on thier words. Your ego's now reached the point where to recant your Torah-supporting b.s. is too late. Well, there you go. Stay in that hole of yours. Go the wailing wall after your mecca trip, ok.

Right now ur just posting gibbrish. Why dont you look at whatever book u are reading and come back and tell me who the Torah was given to? IS that so hard? ITs SUCH a simple question. And you post crap in reply. AGAIN, if you dont have anything USEFUL to post, no one is forcing you!!! Looooooool Especially when you admited to not be able to prove something wrong even tho you KNOW its not true loooooooooooool

        Salaam,

That verse doesnt answers the question i asked you. Who was the Torah given to?

Sorry Jaxal. My last post was not an answer to your question. I think the quote I responded to in my last post will make that clear. lol

Anyways, the Torah was given to the Jews. However, in the quran we are not told who the Torah is given to since the quran does not discuss the Torah. I do not associate tauraat with Torah. So forgive me if we do not see eye to eye on the meanings of some words.

        Joe

Right, THAT was my point. We can't possibly tell if the manuscripts are authentic. Thank you. Now I will address your query.

I hope your taking into account of the content as well not just how old the manuscript is.

I answered above and will repaste here Al-quraan starts with the assertion of the protection of az-zikr. Az-zikr, if you check 68/4 , means 'the one in eminence'. This is your starting point. Go anywhere in the world and check for the one in eminence. Al-quraan anywhere is one and the same. Secondly, its in 'lisaanun arabiyun mubiin' (16/103). Check your manuscripts and you will see that its ambiguities are very telling. I mentioned before that Ayman tried to manipulate the meaning of 30/1 , saying instead of the romans being defeated, the romans defeated. He could only do that to an ambigious text, but never to the one in eminence. Third and fourthly, please see wakas and joe's post.

          hope that helps.

Please elaborate a different way instead of posting what you posted before because it still doesn't prove the content your studying is that of what God authenticated. I'm sorry if you think I'm coming across as being obnoxious but i'm trying to understand your point clearer as it still doesn't make any sense to me at all.

          THANKS!

            Indeed we dont.

Anyways, the Torah was given to the Jews.

Ok. Lets work from there. When you say that, do you mean, that maybe one person was chosen from the jews and then God decided to give this person the Torah. Or was it a group of people who were jews and God decided to give the Torah to this group of people? Just briefly explain how exactly was the torah given to the jews.

2Pac Have you heard the phrase "cogito, ergo sum" meaning, I think, therefore i AM" ? Basically, it means that there is nothing I can prove except ME. This is what mquran is saying. How can we prove if the evidence is real or not? Frankly, tht is a weak argument.

I DO read the Bible AND the Torah. But since this is YOUR belief that the Torah was given to the Jews and not Moses/Musa, dont you think YOU should then explain this statment?

                  Salaam Jaxal,

You are confusing what I wrote again. My God man, this is indeed unnerving and irritating that I must explain to you the things that I've written.

1 - I said tauraat was not said in the quran by Allah to be given to musa.

2 - I said I do not believe tauraat to be the Torah.

3 - I said if you want to find out about the Torah and Moses then read the Bible which explains them.

                  Joe

                      Salaam,

The part where you misunderstand what I say and thus ask the questions you do. I already told you to read the Bible. Since you admit that you do then you do not need to be asking me such things about the Torah.

If Joe was talking to a Jew, yes he might need to explain since a Jew believes in the Torah. Funnily, Homer Simpson act-alike needs an explanation fromj Joe as to why Joe doesn't believe the Torah was given to Musa. SO WHAT? I thought this was a quranic forum. Now we have guys who think we need the Torah to justify thier perversions and hadith to justify thier rock-hugging ways! Whatrever next!

This thread is going no where. It has become catalogue of insults! This must stop!

(hey I am all for witty and funny insults but the insults has become neither witty nor funny anymore!).

And we have not learned anything new from this exchanges. What a waste of time for everyone! -(

I have not realised that this thread has deterioriated so much. With due respects to you mquran (and I have asked you before -)) either provide refutation to Jaxal for the threads he has presented to you, the refutation you have said done 7 years ago or perhaps it is best that you bow out from this thread. There is no shame in bowing out -)

                          Regards,

The Musa system continues to disclose itself. Many thanks for that.

No problem. I enjoy reading this portion of the quran. I think I might write this passage up and put it somewhere where I can read it daily.

I agree with Brother Lote Tree this thread is doing no good to none of you guys with insults thrown back and forth. We're all here to learn.....I know its hard and sometimes ego can get in the way of admitting mistakes but nevertheless we're not perfect and we should be open to criticism to improve our understanding of things.

We're all in this together brothers and sisters to learn and improve each other so we get closer to God. If we get all worked up just say PEACE and leave it at that. So im not giong to post futher on this thread and leave it with the very word as I do with all my posts-

                              PEACE wink

It is sad. But in the end, when someone cant answer, its either the garbage that mquran posts or 'i have nothing more to add'. I dont understand why you are holding back ur explaination. God wouldnt give the Torah to some Tom Dick or harry. This is what im asking you. ITs a simple question which shouldnt confuse you Joe. Who was the Torah given to? ITs like when i ask 'Joe, buddy, who was the Quran given to?' and you say 'Ah Jaxal, its Prophet Muhammad' or like when i ask ' Hey joe bruv, who was the gospel given to??' and you say 'Ahh Jaxal, the gospel was given to JEsus/Isa'.. Are u making the connection? So when i ask 'Hey Joe, bruv, who was the Torah given to?' I am kinda expecting a name. 'The jews' is not an answer. God didnt given the Torah to the 'jews'. God must have chosen one man/woman out of the 'jews' to give the Torah too. Dont u think?

Now, if you dont know, then that is one thing. But i dont think my question was THAT mind boggling that it totally escaped ur grasp. And maybe im wrong. Maybe you DO know the answer. IF so, why dont you simply tell me brother? Maybe i can hear ur answer and contemplate my understanding. Im totally up for that. Always keep learning. A man can never learn enough.

So, plz brother, tell me your understanding so i learn.

Good idea. Do this as well if you will, tabulate the various versions of the conversation between Musa and Pharaoh from chapter to chapter. Then, when you arrive at chapter 79, you'll see it all summarised in one verse. I swear, its some kind of linguistic explosion.
