      SaLaM Mehdi

Im here becoz this board is a place where i can come and enjoy myself. Becoz the people here are intelligent (except a few wink ) And becoz people on this board put up with me heheeh

Ok seriously, im all for the 'lone ranger searching for the truth and walking his path alone'. But here there are people who can make me understand a point or an issue even after i question them again and again. This is THE FAIREST board with everyone respecting everyone else. And last but not the least, i have brothers and sisters on this board even if i have a heated argument with them ( this includes SC and MQ ) http//www.geocities.com/bigjaxal/s1.gif

        Salaam Mehdi,

Well I have been a member many years in this forum.

The first time I came here was of curiosity and it must have been a person who invite me I guess can't remember.

I know Br Layth from another forum so it might be him who invite me.

It is nice to meet people who not hang on to sunnism and shiism.

And I have got some really good friends from this forum both males and females.

And I have also heard that some have found a spouse in here

        Well a nice forum!

        Peace
        Sis Majidah

          peace MM,

I mainly use the forum as a learning tool, and its nice being around like-minded individuals.

I'm surprised by some of your comments, and frankly I think they are way way off. I could go through them in detail but I prefer being brief

own messenger? Did I miss something? Who's that? And even if you name someone, how many of the members actually acknowledge this? Name one.

own quran trans? Find one person who agrees with everything in "our" quran trans.

own T-shirt? Whats sectarian about a t-shirt that says "free your mind"? That is a message promoting people to think differently, the opposite of what a sect mindset is.

Losing of the individual? Find two people on this forum who agree on every 'al quran' teaching/concept. You wont find any.

own projects? Once again, did I miss something? what free-minds project is this?

          Wakas

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

I'm surprised by some of your comments, and frankly I think they are way way off.

I think you summed it up pretty well. Again, it's so simple, yet very difficult to grasp. Some guys believe it's okay to eat pork, some dont. Some people drink alcohol, some don't. That's just detail. Some have a totally different concept of God, while others believe in the whole angels with wings thing. The list goes on... and somehow that makes a sect? I'm with you... ??

In what plane of existence does Eranmad and mquran belong to the same 'sect'? flag

No. But at the same time, we don't hoard the message of God.

And do not confound the truth with falsehood, nor keep the truth secret while you know.

                Peace M_Mehdi,

what was that of 'its own messenger'? Don't exagerate evil

Are we your amusement during your vacation?

                why are you here?

I became interested in islam, I bought a quran in Spanish, I read on the net, I came across the controversial points, Wakas said to me that those points were based on the Bukhari & co hadits not in the quran, I landed here. I try to know what the quran really says and I got interested in spiritual topics eventually.

                  Peace,

                  who is we?
for me, 'we' are the people who participate in the forum, the users, the people who discuss topics, no more, you included. I see it is for you another thing, that's fine.

the WE on this site isn't me.. it isn't the people who visit the site... the 'we' are person(s) behind it... they are the admins... the owner... the originator.. aka the relics of this site... who propagate what this whole 'free-minds' movement is about...
yes, the admin, the owner, are that, the admin, the owner, the people who provide you this room on the net so that you participate if you fee like and you and I are the users.

and there you will find again "Dr." Rashad Khalifa .. again the WE you speak of (which incidentaly by you just saying that.. you have already became a memeber o the club) isn't me...
I think we are members of the forum. don't worry, I think it is not dangerous
Do you think this site is just to promote Rashad Kalipha?

                    Peace Mehdi,

You have made a number of bold and sweeping statements in your e-mail, most of which are unjustified/unsupported.

exagerate..? there is a whole forum on this site dedicated to Rashad Khalifa...!

This site and forum are dedicated to the Lord of Heavens and Earth, the One and only King and Master...It is for His service and to sing His praise that articles have been written, ideas researched, and information exchanged.

Neither Rashad nor Jesus nor Mohammed nor any human or Jinn or Angel have a spec when it comes to God.

"And the Earth will shine with the light of its Lord, and the record will be placed, and the prophets and the witnesses will be brought forth; and it will then be judged between them with truth, and they will not be wronged. And every soul will be paid for whatever it did, for He is fully aware of everything they have done. (The Message 3967-6

who is we? the WE on this site isn't me.. it isn't the people who visit the site... the 'we' are person(s) behind it... they are the admins... the owner... the originator.. aka the relics of this site... who propagate what this whole 'free-minds' movement is about...

This site is built on the articles and works of many people...It is a place of devotion for God. Thus if you state that the 'relics' advocate and propogate an agenda, then I am honored and proud to be one of those 'relics' who advocate a return to the path and the word of the Lord.

"And who is better in saying than one who invites to God, and does good works, and says ?I am one of those who have surrendered.? (The Message 4133)

if you look at one of the Forums on this site it is labeled

                    Submitters / Code 19
This is a movement begun by the late Dr. Rashad Khalifa who claimed to be the 'Messenger of the Covenant' based on 381.

As there are sections on Christianity and Sunni/Shia Islam...Does that make this site an advocate of the Hadths or an advocate of Jesus being the son of God!

No, you are thinking of the translation by Rashad which removed the last two verses of Chapter 9 in accordance with the hadith of the way the Scripture was collcted.

"Dr. Rashad Khalifa" is a hop skip and a jump away from Free-minds...

You made the 'statement' that the translation on this site removed 2 verses...Obviously you had not bothered to verify what you were quick to accuse with...

is this the translation where you guys took out a couple of verses or something from the Quran or i'm i thinkin of something different?

Who is the one thinking of Dr. Rashad? The translation on the site (which does not follow his method), or the person who assumed without checking?

and there you will find again "Dr." Rashad Khalifa .. again the WE you speak of (which incidentaly by you just saying that.. you have already became a memeber o the club) isn't me...

It is an honor to be associated with people such as Rashad and Edip who have advocated the path of God Alone...As is it an honor to speak of Dr, Shahrour or Dr. Mustafa Mahmoud, or the many other men and women to openly risk their lives and reputations by going against the mainstream and speaking truth for the sake of God.

i recently got an email from a man who asked me if i followed the messenger.. "Dr. Rashad Khalifa" .. and if i haven't i need to... it's getting out of hand... and this site doesn't appear to be helping it... but that's what i'm trying to figure out...

Was there a button that you had to press before joining this forum/site saying that you must 'acknowledge Rashad as a messenger'!

If no, then why bring-up the subject of a person excercising his freedom of speech and you excercising yours?

free-thought? i don't think so... if that's the case then were is The New Genuine Islam's forum? he claims to be a messenger as well eh? ...

I will not speculate on the number of people who believe in Sharif or follow his mission, but I can state that it does not appear that it has reached the level where it is a topic in itself (Bahaism and Buddism and Judaism are all candidates for a seperate category if there were enough users requesting it, which there aren't).

if i'm way off here ... then please try and help me understand better.. if you agree then lets get it back on track...

                    GOD ALONE

That is all this has been (and God willing always will be) about.

i've been kicking around the idea to dedicate this album to the free-minds movement, it's people, and it's direction... however before doing so.. i want/need to find if this is the Right thing to do or not... i don't wish to propagate anything unless i know it's source, motive, and direction... but at last.. Allah knows best...

Never has it been asked that people follow or obey, but always to think, debate and analyse

?And do not uphold what you have no knowledge of. For the hearing, eyesight, and mind, all these you are responsible for.? (The Message 1737)

What I do find you guilty of is making general accusations and staements in order to get a responce (a shotgun effect)...That is not the way of a student, since you should be convincing yourself of what is true or not and not have others convince you of it.

                        Salaamun alaikum Mehdi,

i remember in posts ago.. i would defend against the idea of people saying 'free-minds is just another sect' ... but now.. i just don't know.. it's like the saying.. if the shoe fits...it seems more and more free-minds is a sect.. with it's own messenger... it's 'own version of the Quran' which help into the formulation of the site as a whole.. own projects and now their own t-shirt...

Well, a 'sect' from what, exactly? A 'sect' refers to a 'SECTtionalisation' of a certain entity. What is this entity you refer to? If the 'main body' are 'muslims of the world', then you need to question the validity of the entity's existence. In al-quraan, this entity doesn't exist.

Then you need to question the concept of messenger. If a messenger is simply ones who brings the message, then sunnis, shias and even socalists bring fragments of al-haqq. Only al-quraan itself is al-haqq but you can't bring al-quraan into people's heads. When you communicate it to them, you initiate the interpretive process. So in effect, everyone brings a less-than-perfect version of the truth.

As for 'version' of al-quraan, even Arabs who read al-quraan have limitations by way of preconcieved notions. Everyone brings thier own versions of the message, whether written or not.

Al-islaam promotes movements. If you want to answer God's call, you have to move and most times, people dont move with you.

                          Okay, now that (I think) I've understood your explanation, let's go back to the original question;

... do you think we can do this on a daily basis without resorting to external sources?
Yes we can. D I can even go further and say that you don't even need the book to convey God's message.

                            Zenje is right.

Al-quraan is the detailing of al-kitaab (10/37). Much like the map of the territory. We can walk the path without the map, although the chances of getting lost is probably greater.

That's what I meant, you can spread the God's message even without quran.

                                  hi guys

am here becoz we can have logical, sensible and real discussions with like-minded people.
i believe this site is no deviation from the truth, from Quran.. thats why i am here.

tell me, this is a seperate sect/religion, with some new self proclaimed prophets(am seeing evidences of this in some messages, i guess u know what i mean), am running miles away!

We dont need new religions to make this world better. just some common sense and honesty would do, if only people use them.

                                    Salaamun alaikum,

                                    so happy you chimed in

so happy you started this thread

are we sure it's sectionalisation or sensationalism of a certain entity?

well, if you're a sect, there must be something outside the sect. That's the whole point of word, man.

but in the Quran this entity does exist.. in a form of community.. but this community is based on the individual.. and stems from an individual level...

Would you mind pointing them out to me ? The 'muslims' in the world as pointed by the Quran.

although this may be true... what else do we have beside God, ourselves, and everyone else?

Our sincerety (i.e. going in this with a 'qalbin saleem/sound heart'). This is what counts.

aka.. everyone has freakin baggage .. but you got to be the baggage handler not only for ourselves but also for others... in order to live within this society... again the process of being an individual is to desolve the individual while never loosing touch with the entity in line.. God

You need to lose certain aspects individuality, namely the selfish soul only to gain the peaceful soul.

in the Quran Allah says the earth is spacious.. .and that this move might be necessary in order to live in the correct Path of Submission to God... but that today is just about a over with.. do you disagree?

                                    I dont understand? Mind rephrasing?

my lil apartment complex might have reason as to why i need to move.. but the next one over is heaven.. or hell? or where do you want us to move to with you mquran?

Movement doesn't have to be geographical but transpositional i.e. we can move from a criminal society to a peaceful society.

searching for truth brought me here. First, my individual studdies got me qurious to search online for resources. than landed on submission, Rashad Khalifa showed me a new perspective of Islam, that traveled to 19.org, moslem.org but didnt stay their long. Lastly found free-minds and now I am here. But I been here from the begining of this forum..). Now this is like a home for me..

                                      peace

                                        Mehdi criminal like what?

An Islamic movement aims to transform a crime-infested society into an Islamic one. A society which enshrines the value of justice and the protection of the weak.

We need to understand 'salaam' in detail to get a good picture of this.

Is there any occurence in the scripture where it adresses <al-muslimine> specifically, like in <ya ayyouha allathina Amanou> for <al-mouminine>.

I can not think of any such a verse for now, but this would tell if such a 'group' (al-mouslimine) has to be a group in the first place .
