So, why am I here then? Simple. To research on my own about the Quran and see how others have interpreted them and subsequently, in the light of God, take the best meaning and be guided by Him alone.

Salam Kashif,
Thank you for the welcome. Nice to know someone has a story similar to mine. So far, I have just been reading the comments laid out by the people here and trying to digest and investigate more on my end with the aid of God. God willing, when I have some queries or insights, I will definitely share with this community.

Assalaam walekum brothers and sisters,my name is komla and i
m 20 years of age.I was brought up in a christian family(catholics),i have a very religious mother who taught me to pray every night in the point where it became an habit,i couldnt sleep at night without praying to Jesus(recall this is how i was brought up).At the age of 15 i met this 13 year old boy who was a sunni muslim,he looked mature for his age we sat and he started giving me dawah,i was impressed by the so called muslims back than.So one day i decided to go to the mosq and take their shahada, than i became a sunni. For about 5 to 6 month i was not satisfy i wanted more so i decided to do the opposite of what the sunnis were telling me not to go to a shiit masjid,i was fed up to hear people dictating me wat i should and shouldnt do without proof.I went there and spoke to a bunch of them and found out, that if it was all about following hadith shouldnt someone feel safer if it came from the family????So that night i had the urge to become a shiit i dont know why,so i did take their corrupted shahada. The next morning i woke up with the biggest doubts of my life i didnt know what i was doing,i was scared to tell some of my sunni friends but eventually theyve noticed and i became the topic in the sunni mosq,i couldnt take this anymore. So i started calling my shiit friends to ask them more questions about their faith, but unfortunatly they always told me they couldnt answear me because their shayk was not there, everyday it was like this, all i got for an answear was a book about Ashoura,so i decided to get out of there.I went back with the sunnis in the point were i almost made my decision to become a salafi(wahabi),deep inside i new this was not the way,i was always asking for guidance to God.Until one day i came on www.submission.org.My eyes were finally opened,i wrote them a letter i spoke to Abdul Arik,For about a month i visited all their sites, but i became bored of it i needed something else.i decided to look for opposite views from them, until i met Edip Yuksel,I even spoke to him on the phone.I also saw people the opposite views. Now i just see myself outside of any group,im alone and will live this world alone.I CONSIDER MYSELF A MONOTHEIST THATS IT.But unfortunately i dont speak arabic.I pray three times a day but i`m willing to see different views according to salat.By the way i leave in Canada-montreal.mY SALAAM. -

However following anyone or anything other than God is still committing idolatry. I don't want to fall into the trap of committing idolatry hence my emphasis on that. So, why am I here then? Simple. To research on my own about the Quran and see how others have interpreted them and subsequently, in the light of God, take the best meaning and be guided by Him alone.
Okay, that maybe a little extensive on detail but oh well. Hope to be welcomed here. Peace be upon all.
With love,
SayeethSame here!!! I wish you success on your journey!
