Does Farting Nulify The Prayer?
-
peace,
Your question can be easily answered by using some tools available online
Read about every occurrence of "salat" (sawd-lam-waw) by using a phonetic search engine (http//www.islamicity.com/ps/default.htm), root search (http//www.openburhan.com) or PRL (http//www.studyquran.co.uk/PRLonline.htm).
It might be a slower method, but it will vastly improve your knowledge of "salat". That is almost guaranteed.
Also, USE the search function for this forum. This topic has been discussed before, like 90% of "salat" questions that get asked.

Salam,
I doubt that farting nullify someones salat, how then can a menstruating woman perform her salat isn't that more disgusting than some air?
Just a thought!!!
Peace sis Maria

salaam,
56 O you who believe, when you observe the contact prayer, you shall wash your faces and your hands to your elbows, wipe your heads and wash your feet to the ankles. However, if you are unclean due to sexual orgasm, then you shall bathe. And if you are ill or on travel and cannot find water, and any of you has digestive excretion or has touched women, then you shall perform dry ablution with clean dry soil by wiping your faces and your hands with it. God does not wish to cause you hardship but wishes to cleanse you and to complete His blessings upon you that you may be appreciative.
i think the key to understanding your question is deciding whether or not passing gas falls under "digestive excretion".
i don't think it has anything to do with human opinions of what is "disgusting". menstruation isn't mentioned anywhere in this verse.

I wouldn't fart in front of my boss or in an interview. So I don't think it's appropriate when I'm making a connection with God. I don't know if it is forbidden or not, I just would feel wrong doing it only because I believe I owe my Creator that much respect. I understand it is totally natural, it's also totally rude, in my humble opinion. And my opinion could be totally wrong and subjective.

Peace lacdivian,
burping and vomiting is not excretion but regurgitation
It is not just regurgitation; vomiting also contains gastric secretions, but I agree they are not "excretions".

I agree; and its not just the "boss" but other fellow humans also when in a congregation salat.
