What is the meaning of God alone Qur'an alone?
-
Peaceful MuslimAnd btw, that is what everyone here is trying to tell u. That there are truths/wisdom/knowledge outside Quran which can be recognised and understood. 'Universal wisdom' would also be one thats true.
Ok, once again and hopefully for the last time, how will you VERIFY something as wise? Would you use al-quraan to verify it or not ? If not, would you mind stating so so that I needn't waste my time?
-
Mehdino, why would you speak of Allah in such a way.. as to say "did Allah forget to ADD etc. etc. "
love, it's not Allah that forgets.. Allah is perfect... but you/we are not... perhaps you forgot the meaning of the saying, is all... simple...
look nobody is "forcing" to love your brothers and sisters..sheesh...
but please... remember that! next time you call one of them kafir etc. etc. etc. when your deductions don't from a place of Love... they don't come from much...
Mr Mehdi, its best for you to stick to your capacity for cut and paste and your inane humour. You have failed to understand the point of the argument.
I'd like to see evidence of this from al-quraan. I have studied imaan and mumin and nowhere have I found this None of you believes until he wishes for his brother what he wishes for himself." As far as I can see, this statement is false. If Im wrong, please bring forward evidence and oh Mr Mehdi, doing a word search on 'believer' and quoting the first verse you see is not a response. Kindly address the point if you want to, not that I expect you to.
And oh, I never called PM and Omeiza kafir because unlike you, they didn't come here to make weenies out of people. You have, by your own admission, come here for that. Further, nowhere does al-quraan say to call 'al-kafiroon' from a place of love. This is once again your attempt to blur al-quraan with your own ideas.
-
well if you studied all that.. and find no Love for your brothers and sisters.. than perhaps.. this relates to you
Mehdi, are you unable to read or something?
Look at the statement againNone of you believes until he wishes for his brother what he wishes for himself
In other words, unless you wish for other mumin what you wish for your;self , YOU'RE NOT A MUMIN. Did God forget to mention this ? Because al-quraan says
008.002 For, Believers are those who, when God is mentioned, feel a tremor in their hearts, and when they hear His signs rehearsed, find their faith strengthened, and put (all) their trust in their Lord;
008.003 Who establish regular prayers and spend (freely) out of the gifts We have given them for sustenance
008.004 Such in truth are the believers they have grades of dignity with their Lord, and forgiveness, and generous sustenanceSo Allah posited something but no, you're telling Him 'no God, mehdi is a lot smarter you and feels this hadith should enter the criteria'. Have the courage to admit that you don't believe al-quraan is sufficient. You will then show your true face.
and since you're the studied "scholar" here.. Doctor mquran.. (whatever ) .. i'll let you even have the honors of numbering that Sign from the Quran...
This is why I asked you, provide your evidence. I could be wrong in my deductions but the only way to show it would be to PROVIDE VERSES FROM AL-QURAAN. The reason you're unable to do this is because your claim to al-quraan is by name only. You don't really adjudicate by al-quraan at all. Thats why you're so passionate about this hadith like the sunnis are. Its sad really.
-
what slander ? you mean this statement of yours
I'm happy to see that my lil mustard seed has grown into so much mustard that all the weenies of the board felt like dipping themselves into it
Face it, you came here to cause discord and to waste ppl's time. Im done talking to you anyway. God told us how to deal with people who mock his ayaat and its time I obeyed.
-
since you are the one who claims to be the "better" believer blah.. .. then please mqruan bring your proof... does your statement have any hint of truth to it.. if so.. please bring it the proof.. like a good person would.. unless your only paying lip service...
Lol, 'does your social worker know ..' is A QUESTION, not a posit. A question is neither true or false, it invites inquiry, not presupposes it. You're quite a joke, Mr Mehdi (an assertive statement to be sure and the proof is me laughing my head off).
-
please show your proof of this.. if you have intergrity.. or are you again.. just paying lip service...
You've really flipped (again) havent you )
I'll leave you to it. Seriously, get some help. When you actually address the points in the argument, then I can continue this discussion. Until then, you're just a gasbag to me. Flatulent but devoid of substance.

In your own understanding, is al-Qur'an sent by Allah to explain what already exists as the reality or it introduces a reality different from our experience of the world?
Both.
What exists as reality of the world ad-dunya
A reality different from our experience al-akhirat
Do me a favour and tell me where this is going please.

Mquran,
u should propably give this a readGOD Alone
By Layth (e-mail [email protected])What does it mean to believe in "GOD Alone"?.
We believe that this concept needs to be cleared-up, since it represents the back-bone of the people behind this website
All Muslims believe in the Quran.
Even the worst of them promote the Quran on their websites and in their lives.
Yet, they do not follow "GOD Alone"!.
Even Quranic based websites...Do not follow "GOD Alone".
You see, GOD does not live inside the Quran...It is merely a "medium" of communication that He uses to talk to us.
The Sunnis and Shia and Submitter and others believe they took their religion from GOD through the Quran...
The Sunnis say GOD told them to follow the "Messenger" and to "take what he gives them".
The Shia say that GOD told them to follow "Ahlul Bait" and their descendents.
The Submitters say GOD told them to follow "19" and the writings of Rashad Khalifa.
The fact of the matter is
GOD never told these people ANYTHING!!!
They invented lies and attributed them to GOD...
They even started forcing people to accept their lies and branding those who disagree as "Apostate and Rejecter".
Following GOD Alone simply means Following GOD Alone.
Yes, its that simple!.
No tricks, no catches, no loopholes...
The Quran is NOT GOD, nor are human beings or even the Angels...
GOD can only be represented by Himself.
We open our heart to His guidance and ask Him to show us the right from wrong.
He speaks to us through His words in the Quran, and we LISTEN rather than talk and force meanings.
When GOD tells us to fast, we ask Him to explain to us through His words where, when and how.
When GOD asks us to pay charity...We ask Him ALONE for guidance.
"You ALONE we worship, you ALONE we seek" (Quran 15)
If we cannot find it clearly written in the Quran, then GOD never said it!.
That is as easy as it gets...
We have found that our lives and souls have been liberated by this approach, and that we are able to serve Him the way He should be served...
Put your faith in GOD Alone and He will guide you
"Say 'Does any of your idols guide to the truth?' Say 'GOD guides to the truth. Is one who guides to the truth more worthy of being followed?, or one who does not guide except after he is guided? What is wrong with your judgment?" (Quran 1035)
This website will not guide you. Nor can it do anything for you. We can only be "instruments" if the Lord chooses to guide you...
Praise be to Him who initiated the heavens and the Earth...
GOD ALONE
-
Thanks, I disagree though.
LaythThis website will not guide you. Nor can it do anything for you. We can only be "instruments" if the Lord chooses to guide you...
How does God guide you ?
2/185 al-quraan is called 'bayyinat min al-hudaa' or clarification of the guidance.
Anyone can say 'im guided' but with al-quraan you can be clear as to who is guided and who isn't.
-
Fair enough, Mquran.
It's ok to diagree.
Hope and pray Allah guides all of us, and helps us in our quest for truth!Peace! >-

A reality different from our experience al-akhirat

Is al-akhira a new reality being created by the Qur'an or is a meaning already in existence?
I will then tell you where this is going God willing.
-
Brother mquran, my question is very simple.
Is the concept of al-akhira an existing reality which the Qur'an is explaining or it is a new thing just coming into existence?
In another way, does the Qur'an explain al-akhira or it merely introduce the concept?
My dear brother! We do not need to quote al-Qur'an to eat through our mouth - do we?
Where is the explicit verse of the Qur'an telling you to use the username 'mquran' in a forum like this?

It explains it fully.

Al-quraan gives you instructions on how to live life. In the areas where it is silent, Allah gives you the freedom (5/101-102). However, the problem is, people are INFRINGING upon the space demarcated by al-quraan. Take Mr Mehdi who has inserted a new criteria about becoming a mumin. Al-quraan clearly tells him on what to do to be a mumin but he insists upon another criteria. THATS the problem. Eating with forks, chopsticks, fingers is not.
-
My understanding is that al-Qur'an explains. Al-Qur'an could not be explaining what does not exist already.
Where an understanding has become obvious, there may be no need to quote al-Qur'an.
"Allah does not change the condition of anyone until they change what is in themselves" - what do you understand by this?
"It is not the eye that becomes blind but the heart in the chest" -what do we deduct from this?
"They have heart they do not reflect/understand by it" What does it mean?
"Except the one that returns with a sound heart" -What heart?
Is it not obvious that the heart is the foucs of the Qur'an?
Is purification of NAFS not the same as purification of the HEART?
-
Omieza, it seems to me that you're never going to quote al-quraan in this discussion. So if its so obvious to you, good for you. Its obvious to me that your arguments have no Quranic basis. Until you actually get what im saying here, that your 'obviousness' is false and has no quranic basis, im wasting my time. Peace.

What about the four verses I quoted?
-
Dude, you quoted verses about the heart, sure. The problem is, you deduced that the heart is the same as the nafs. THAT deduction has no quranic basis, if you see what I mean.
Is purification of NAFS not the same as purification of the HEART?
There's no tazkiyatun qalb in al-quraan, only tazkiyatun nafs.
