I just wanted to try to get the word out for Alen. He is trying to make an INdie Film about the Quran/ God alone movement and he needs some help. If you ask me there arent too many things we could be doing that are more imprtant than trying to get this message out to the people. Lets give Alen some help, he is a very creative, intelligent and passionate person that is really doing alot to get this project off the ground. I for one pledge to help him if its only donating a few bucks. He has been asking everyone for help and I think we owe it to ourselves and everyone too give him a chance. Lets help him help us help humanity,,,,

All the help is appreciated.
First, i would have to go to London, that's one thing and that costs a little. Apartments in London cost from 150 BP ($300 USD) up to 500 BP ($1.000 USD).Second, i need to stay somewhere in London, apartmetns also cost. The nearest i found is close like 45 minutes to the studio but i will search further, unless someone has better information then me.
Third, I need to hire a studio. This is an address of the studio 3 Mills Studios, Three Mill Lane, London E3 3DU, United Kingdom but there are other studios that i can do this at, inshaAllah.
Fourth, i need a distributor. Once i talk to the distributor, inshaAllah, they will tell me on how many screens they can put them and that's why i need $1.000.000 USD so the movie can start at 100 screens but of course i can start with just one screen or ten screens. And then get more studios with each day as the movie makes the money at the Bof Office. InshaAllah.
Fifth, i need actors and actresses. So far, i was thinking taking a role myself and hiring you brothers and sisters because authenticity is a plus. Sure, ic an hire a cast from Holylwood but if any of you want to be in the movie, you're welcome.
Whoever can help, thank you and may The Allah Almighty reward you with Paradise.

Anyone can write a script, and millions do. The questions is is it any good?
Please upload the file online for all to see (e.g. onto www.filecrunch.com).
And do not worry about copyright, something is in copyright as soon as you write it and even in the unlikely event if someone steals your idea and makes this movie, no big deal, as it will be good for the movement and if this is your genuine goal then one should not really care about profiting from such a movie.
If you decide not to upload the file, please state why.

I think reading the script would get people more involved and more excited about the project Bro Alen is planning to do. People will have more of a vested interest if they know what this film is going to be like.
However, I am concerned over copyright issues, Bro Wakas. Even if someone takes my idea for an exam or a paper I feel cheated so I can only imagine if it is a script that I spent months or years writing ...
Is there a way to lock a thread so that only members of Free-minds can access it? I don't know there has to be a safer way to safeguard his hard work...

I came up with a solution but I don't have the IT skills to implement it, so we'll need help from those of us who are computer savvy D
If Bro Alen can post it up on a website, or even this website, but there would be an initial page which is essentially a disclaimer, that any and all ideas found herein are the sole ideas of Alen and in no way can anyone take the script in whole or in part as his/her own. You'd have to press accept or ok in order to get to the script, and maybe some sort of mechanism could record IP addresses. Dunno ... it works for other websites ;D

imo, when it comes to religion, profit nor copyright issue should be the concern. So what if someone else take some ideas from alen's true islam movie. As long as the message is communicated to the audience..that's good enough. Isn't that the purpose of the film? hmm.. just a thought...

Cant anybody in this forum who lives in London provide accomodation for bro Alen in order to cut cost?
For additional financial aid I think it is a good idea to try to find prominent connections such as open-minded and moderate muslim figures in Britain or anywhere who would like to offer support.

Thank you all for support and i'm grateful to Allah Almighty for giving me brothers and sisters who support me in this.
I was thinking about this, that i could put the script up here and then we could all read it but i do have to fix one page and i'm gonna put it on the FreeMinds Forum as soon as i find the right protection for the script.
Believe me, i don't wanna make money with religious issues because i already have several scripts that don't deal with Islam.Sister Tifah is also trying to make a documentary about Islam, she could also use some help.

Why are you concerned about protecting the script if you say you dont want to make money with religious issues? What is your reasoning for the copyright?
It is very easy to copyright something in less than a week. See the following thread for info

Why dont we just give Alen the benefit of the doubt and support him. He is not trying to make a proffit with religion he is trying to get the message out. Even a believing movie maker has to be concerned about investors , distributors, etc, and they are the ones that need financial assurances. Also, Wakas, Alen is not concerned to protect the script because he wants to make money, he has incorporated some work of other writers that he needs to protect in order for him to use the material, thats why he needs to assure its protection, lets stop trying to pick apart his intentions.
This kinda reminds me of the verse in the Quran 2412 " Why did not the believing men and woman when they hear an accusation, think well of their own people and say this is an evident lie"

Regardless of money concerns, I think it's his right to protect his hard work... We don't have to compromise anything or anyone for this good project. Good begets good )
Let's work on finding a safe way to get the script online.

As soon as i get the budget, you can be in the movie.
When i hire the studio, God willing, i can invite you all to the test screening.
What worries me a lot is this a sunni might locate me and either add sunna and hadith to the script or kill me during the production. I don't mind dying for Islam but i'd like the message to get around before i die.Thank you for the support brothers and sisters.

Your above comment still does not address the reason for the copyright. Protect the "other writers" from what?
...and either add sunna and hadith to the script...

Wakas, as a Muslim who follows just The Quran, i'm "afraid" that a sunni might add sunna and hadith to it,that's all. Now i don't have aproblem with that but i don't want my name on it then.
Don't worry, slowly, we'll get to our goal, yes?Besides, i have come with a plan B maybe i should start with a movie that has nothing to do with religion, earn some money with that movie and then with all that money and experience make this movie.

Don't you have a concept for this film? I ask because if you do have a concept, won't it be a totally different film if someone switches it (the concept) by using a theme to promote Traditional stances?
You seem to assume in your plan "B" that you will make alot of money which can go into the fruition of this primary idea of yours.
