Peace. I think the underlying principle in the light of gods guidance ,is not to oppress/be unjust to yourself or others. If we look at all those verses they all deal with being just and/or not being unjust to mankind.I believe the quran reminds/confirms what can already be known through your life experience and conscience.(fitrah). Our duty(deen) is to keep away from harming anyone, unnecessarily, within the best of our ability. And this automatically means we pursue that which benefits humanity.

      SaLaM

The Quran does gives a fundamental code. But it is far from providing the complete set to rule a kingdom.

        Peace be upon you Jaxal,

Depends on what kind of kingdom you are trying to rule. I prefer the kingdon of Solomon rather than the physical kingdoms of this world.

Unfortunately, we all live in the kingdoms of this world.

            Peace be upon you Jaxal,

Unfortunately, we all live in the kingdoms of this world.

Not all of us, the Kindgom within is what controls these kindoms that you speak of. The kingdoms you speak of are the illusion of this world.

The God does not change the condition of a people until they change what is INSIDE thier minds/Spirits(Nafs).

I guess we will have to go back to the symbolic debate, if Solomons Kingdom was a physical kingdon, the GREATEST, then certainly we would see some remains. Certainly Egypt and Rome were not greater kingdoms were they?

Peace jaxal and all. The quran is not given in isolation brother, you have your experience(awareness) and conscience in addition to it,then we can have a greater picture of things. Gods guidance is not just the words of the quran, but the awareness of the right thing to do in any given situation. Peace.

                SaLaM enquirer and idolfree

                Idolfree

Yea you and i have a difference of opinion on what is symbolic and what is literal ) . Im not concerned with the Kingdom of Solomon. I believe the Kingdom of Solomon was real. A literal place. It covered , if not all, most of israel and syria and maybe more.

                enquirer

I agree. That is why i say that we have to work on these principals given by the Quran to make the laws of the society.

Peace idol-free1. what is your understanding of history, what evidence do you look for to verify that a historical event occured. Does that evidence need to be first hand or can it be third person reports. I ask respectfully and curiously. peace.

I rely on SEEING rather than HEARING. So third person reports are no good. I dont really go looking for the dead, but for the philosophies they left which never "die". I am interested in the message, which is above the physical. D
