GOD's Creation
-
Salaam,
We know that Quran says that GOD created everything between heaven and earth. And HIS creation is perfectly balanced. Everything confirms to His DIN. Thus, GOD is The Creator, who can create anything.
But can GOD create another GOD? (GOD forgive me).
If GOD can create another GOD (he is The Creator after all), then 17111 or 1121 will become flawed. But if GOD cannot create another HE in every respect, does the title The Creator become flawed?Well, this is just a thought that you may have heard. But what do you think about it?
Wasalaam,

Hi Adley,
Thought provoking, thanks brother!
For me, god is everything, everything that is. God is the sum. God is all.
Now, multiple god's would mean multiple "everythings". Does that make sense? Is it possible to have two or more everythings?
Think not, thus there can't be multiple god.
I don't see how this limits gods creator abilities. It's like asking god to prove his abilities by demanding a "round square". A round square cant be created, it's self-contradictory. It's an oxymoron. Similiarly, multiple god's cant be created. It's an oxymoron.
Nadeem.

Peace be upon you,
God is that which encompasses all things, how can you create outside of the ALL? God is not some object, subject to limitation.

not really sure bro about your question but it sounds very interesting though
my note is if a God can not be created then what He creates can never be a god regardless what capabilities the Creator insert in it, some may call that creature a god and sure humans did it with almost every thing, they did it with a human, a planet, a star and an animal
so the concpet exists that a main God created another god "The father and the son is similar indeed", they just called it a god and because god can not be created they can't be gods hence they can call them whatever but the truth remains intact "A God can not be created hence there is only ONE God"

peace be upon us, God willing.
Allah CAN create round squares, as he has created an 11 demensional universe(that we know of). Multidimensional objects can be mathmatically square and round at the same time. As far as God creating another god, he could and did. God, being omnipotent is everywhere, infinate. Anything infinate cannot be defined, therefore, wherever you look, you are looking directly at god.
The rejection and defeat of paganism is that even if there are multiple gods(even if its God and Jinns, or God and Angels), there will be one that reigns more supreme; or they will be equal is domain thus being one entity.
Simply becuase it appears that Allah could not create another god or a shape that is not three dimensionally correct, does not logically flaw Allahs omnipotence. Remember, a fish is unaware of water.

Amen Bro,
As far as God creating another god, he could and did.
Not sure about "He did", so you mean Allah has created another god?
God, being omnipotent is everywhere, infinate. Anything infinate cannot be defined, therefore, wherever you look, you are looking directly at god.
I have no problem with the above bro, it makes great sense to me but what it does not is how He can create another god?
The rejection and defeat of paganism is that even if there are multiple gods(even if its God and Jinns, or God and Angels), there will be one that reigns more supreme; or they will be equal is domain thus being one entity.
Not sure about that bro, i thought the Jinns and Angels are created by the One God, yes I know some flawed humans consider them gods as well, but that is not the point
My logical point is this, if any thing is created by an ever-existing God then the creature can not be logically a god, because it was created by a god, regardless what abilities that creature has and regardless other creatures will call it a god or not, it can't be a god according to sura 112
Simply becuase it appears that Allah could not create another god or a shape that is not three dimensionally correct, does not logically flaw Allahs omnipotence. Remember, a fish is unaware of water.
Ok I undersatnd what you are coming from, as I said it can't logically stand because of the following
-> According to sura 112 as I mentioned earlier
-> According to the following verses
42- Say If there were with Him gods as they say, then certainly they would have been able to seek a way to the Lord of power.
43- Glory be to Him and exalted be He in high exaltation above what they say.
44- The seven heavens declare His glory and the earth (too), and those who are in them; and there is not a single thing but glorifies Him with His praise, but you do not understand their glorification; surely He is Forbearing, Forgiving.
(42)
(43)
(44)
- Can you see that having another god can not logically stand as Allah stated above?, even if there is any other gods "that He created beside himself" those gods can't be considered gods because " If there were with Him gods as they say, then certainly they would have been able to seek a way to the Lord of power.", ie. they don?t have the ultimate power as the one and only ever existing God.
-> You can also notice that saying, there is another gods is very awful sin according to 1743 " Glory be to Him and exalted be He in high exaltation above what they say. ",
Do you think it is warranted to us to say it by including in our statement that those other gods were created by the one God ?
It can't be because the logic of a one God creating another creature and assigning a god role to him can't stand and have no merit, the Quran has given to us another strong logic to the impossibility of having more than one God
If there were, in the heavens and the earth, other gods besides Allah, there would have been confusion in both! but glory to Allah, the Lord of the Throne (High is He) above what they attribute to Him!
(22)
-> You can also read the same message ? but glory to Allah, the Lord of the Throne (High is He) above what they attribute to Him!?, would you consider saying that He can create another god is making attributes to Him? or if we say it in such manner ?we said He created them as well? is ok and no sin committed?
-> There is also another compelling logic in the Quran that tells us, it is impossible to have more the one God
Never did Allah take to Himself a son, and never was there with him any (other) god-- in that case would each god have certainly taken away what he created, and some of them would certainly have overpowered others; glory be to Allah above what they describe!
(91)
-> Clear logic bro as well the same message was repeated "glory be to Allah above what they describe! "
-> Therefore it is impossible to believe or even try to attribute to Allah that He can create another god beside Him
This statement does not stand any sense anyway because if a creature is created ?IT CAN NOT BE A GOD? you can give it that label but the logic says it can?t be a god because it was created from the first place
Peace be with you bro

I agree, but I think that the arguement here is a problem of language, not a problem of the most highs power. My arguement was one of seemless wholeness, which I can delve more deeply into in a later post. However, Allah has power over all things and certainly the universe bends to his power. If Allah chooses to make a new God, certainly it is in his power to do so. As I was saying, even the addition of this new god would not be a deviation from Allah, as it would be a part of Him. Also, since Allah comprises the whole of everything, he cannot be deluded. Any division of infinity is still infinity. Either way, Allah is still Allah, Most High, Most Gracious.
Personally, I feel that we are all comprised of Allah, and it is through his essence that all things are accomplished. Hence, we are all Allah(edit I mean we all reflect in His essence) and that is where the fall of Iblis came in. When Allah created us, Iblis was instructed to worship us as gods. Would this mean that Allah can create more gods? I think so as it is the language that is messing us up.
God just means superior or magical. The pagans worshiped volcanos and thunder-gods, and nature; all of which were superior to them. We were appointed gods to the Jinn, but Allah still reigned supreme. As man, we have only Allah, as we are superior to all other life.
We cannot choose for Allah what Allah is allowed to do, as our view of the universe is inhertly flawed. We are made up of mostly nothing and yet, we seem like we are solid. This universe screams of Allahs glory and any quest to explain his power is a fruitless effort.

Salaam all,
Thanks for the replies...
To tell you the truth, I don't have an answer even now. D I agree that GOD is the "sum" of everthing around us. That's why I agree with the Buddha's saying that nothing is permanent. Relating this with GOD, I take it as that the only "real" reality is GOD.
Thus, I agree with bro Nademm that the notion of "two everythings" will sound absurd. Coupled with bro Kyle's statement that GOD encompasses all things, the notion will sound even more absurd.
I personally believe that GOD cannot be created, otherwise Surah 112 is nothng but lies. That is why He is called The Creator the first time. Anything that can be created cannot be itself The Creator, however similar. ?
But bro Sawtooth said something funny but interesting for me nonetheless. Personally, the created (no matter how "big") will submit to the law of the creator. Thus, the rock can be lifted still.
With all that said, it is based on my experience that GOD is not something that can be defined or explained. This kind of question stems from wanting to conceptualize GOD to fit mere human intelligence. We know that Modern Physics revealed to us that what we see as reality, might not be real after all. And that is just GOD's creation. If we are struggling to comprehend the creation, I don't think we will find even a minute success in comprehending The Creator. We can try to "experience" or "feel" Him, yes. I believe so because everthing in this universe is "connected" to Him. )
But if GOD created another HIM in every respect, probably the whole reality will collapse.
