What breakes your wudu?
-
Greetings,
I'm new to the forum and I was wondering about what the Koran says about the things that break your wudu. Also is qusul compulsory? I know these questions may seem minor to some of you but I've been raised to believe in haditths for many years and so I want to differeniate between what is haditth and what is the truth. Thank you and take care. -
Hi Ramia,
56 O ye who believe! when ye prepare for prayer, wash your faces, and your hands (and arms) to the elbows; Rub your heads (with water); and (wash) your feet to the ankles. If ye are in a state of ceremonial impurity, bathe your whole body. But if ye are ill, or on a journey, or one of you cometh from offices of nature, or ye have been in contact with women, and ye find no water, then take for yourselves clean sand or earth, and rub therewith your faces and hands, Allah doth not wish to place you in a difficulty, but to make you clean, and to complete his favour to you, that ye may be grateful.

Hello
to answer your question on what breaks the wudu, I say possibly farting lol
not kiddin really, for example if you just did wudu then farted, you need to do wudu again
I also know that touching women by males should break the wudu and possibly even a twisted look at women will break the wudu
i would say anything that is not clean will break the wudu, therefore as Riz said it is always safer to do new wudu before every Salat
Peace

peace Ramia,
Please use the search function of the forum and type in some relevant words in your questions, much like you would do for a search engine. It truly is an excellent tool. I use it often.
See 443 & 56 from al quran (the reading)
See the following thread, which I think is excellent
