We can invite "mankind" through the internet, so physical monuments (and sometimes shirk associated with them) are unnecessary.

The internet can only function in certain dimensions of ad-deen. For example, we may call people to the way of our Lord and argue them (16/125). However, if you analyse the verses about al-bait and bakkah, we have things like

it's a rewarding place for mankind and a safe place

2.humankind flocks to the hajj through various means because of benefits to themselves.

These all happen in the physical domain. The program of ar-rasool cannot happen on the internet beyond the dimension of discussion and argumentation.
