    Salam all,
Here i want to explain how we might distinguish righteous from non-righteous people of the Book i.e. mainly Jews and Christians but can also refer to sunnis, shia, etc because they too received the Book. The Quran says
Surely, those who believe, those who are Jewish, the Christians, and the converts; anyone who (1) believes in GOD, and (2) believes in the Last Day, and (3) leads a righteous life, will receive their recompense from their Lord. They have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.
    But is also says
    A Statement of Fact
You will find that the worst enemies of the believers are the Jews and the idol worshipers. And you will find that the closest people in friendship to the believers are those who say, "We are Christian." This is because they have priests and monks among them, and they are not arrogant.
O you who believe, do not take certain Jews and Christians as allies; these are allies of one another. Those among you who ally themselves with these belong with them. GOD does not guide the transgressors.
The Jews said, "Ezra is the son of GOD," while the Christians said, "Jesus is the son of GOD!" These are blasphemies uttered by their mouths. They thus match the blasphemies of those who have disbelieved in the past. GOD condemns them. They have surely deviated.

The answer is that in order to distinguish righteous from non-righteous
people of the book is to first ask them to read the Quran. If they accept it to be true then, and only then, would we know that that particular fellow from amongst the people of the book was indeed righteous. GOD Bless!

I personally don't agree. I would look at the persons actions to see whos peaceful regardless of what religion they call themseleves. Whether they match the criteria of believing in ONE God, Judgement Day and leading a righteous life, that is subjective and only The God knows the intentions so it's best if we leave that to The God to judge. There's nothing in the Quran the stops us from being friends with Jews and Christians.

      PEACE

        Salam 2pac Notts,

I personally don't agree. I would look at the persons actions to see whos peaceful regardless of what religion they call themseleves.

JK- Your partly right. It doesnt matter what religion they call themselves UNTIL THEY ATTAIN KNOWLEDGE OF THE QURAN. GOD judges by intentions. Once they read Quran and reject It they no longer remian righteous and this is a very crucial point. The Quran itself says that those who reject GOD signs when they come to them are rejectors/disbelievers(kaafirs) in the literal sense of the word.

Whether they match the criteria of believing in ONE God, Judgement Day and leading a righteous life, that is subjective and only The God knows the intentions so it's best if we leave that to The God to judge.

JK- Oh ok in that way even the atheists if they opnely respect the rights of others and dont fight because they want to enforce there views on anyone then we are to be nic with them too, though keeping our eyes open lest they trick us one day and then misuse the believers for their own purpose. No what im saying is to distinguish in the faith sense.

There's nothing in the Quran the stops us from being friends with Jews and Christians.

JK- Yes but ther are certain ones we cannot befriend as per

*551 Relations with other people are governed by the basic rule in 557 & 608-9. The Jews and Christians who cannot be friends are specifically mentioned in 557; they are the ones who mock and ridicule the believers, or attack them.

I partly agree too only part I don't agree is the part i've underlined. For example let's say we meet the average joe bloggs on the street he believes one God and judgment day and feeding the needy etc. He can being judged by God still attain paradise whether he's read the Quran or not. Now if he denies the message in the Quran which he's living then yes I guess that makes him a hypocrite/liar.

I understand now you mean in the faith sense that I agree with brother.

sorry brother for not making myself clear, the verses 60/8/9 were ment to support your notion D

Do we take those who have no alliance with us and only to each other as allies?

What is the point of allegiance to a condemned person?

How does that play out when the 'condemned person' is your mother, father, sister, husband, or child...?

Is every person you call a friend or are all family members allies? What is an ally?

Funny you should say that bro because I came to "God alone" via submission.org and then to this website and left that code 19. I started reading that website you posted of Edips guide to Code 19 and its very very long so half way through it on the 1st part that is lol

But nevertheless its an interesting read and if The God wills i'll be posting a few questions on this section for us to ponder over this code 19. At the moment im 50/50 on whether to believe in it but there's no denying the simple mathematical occurences in the Quran like Adam & Jesus being mentioned 25x alike and a verse supporting saying they are alike.

                      PEACE

JK- Im very delighted to see that there are still some intellectually honest persons, like yourself, left on free-minds who are, even if they dont believe in it as yet or are critical, care to study what is being presented. May GOD Bless and keep reading BUT also remeber read with care and understanding. Many just tend to skim through an article and that's it.

JK- That is great. Hopefully that 50% doubt you have will be removed if GOD Wills. I too was skeptical or was about to become skeptical at times but after further analysis all doubts were removed. All Praise be to GOD! GOD Bless!
