While I understand Pisces's reason for using the phraseology of 'Quran and Sunnah' (as he has explained it to me personally), I think this concilatory tone is counter-productive in the long term.
'Quran and Sunnah' (Q&S for short) is a terminology which will attract people who believe in hadith and sunnah. While these people (generally known as 'muslims') are human beings and shouldn't be treated any different, they certain shouldn't be treated any more specially either. When they join an organisation which they think is based on Q&S, they will expect things to be run on Q&S and when they find its not, you will find them to be disgruntled. This is from my experience.
Pisces, do think about this as I'm sure you'd like your efforts to bring forth the greatest benefit.

I think I made it very clear that Quran is the criterion to judge everything. If part of history doesnot contradict Quran I dont see any issue with this. On the other hand if it contradicts Quran we are not bound to follow it. We are not a blind follower and on the flip side We must not be blind rejectors of everthing. We must use our judgement in the light of Quran. Some leadership tips

Pisces, while I respect what you're doing, I cannot adopt that method for myself because of the following.
Al-quraan is a book which expects to be interpreted as if we are its reciever. It does not presuppose its readers, (assuming Muhammad ibn Abdullah's history is correct, 10,000 of his followers compared to 1.2 billion 'muslims' now) be situated in a historical context. As such, not rejecting a history is fine as long as you don't let historical presuppositions colour your interpretations. This is what I fear the most for myself. To me, Al-Quraan talks about me, my life and my own destiny. That's why it's the book of Allah, it talks about everyone and thier lives.

I strongly believe if you have strong faith in al-furqaan Allah will never let you go astray because Allah is with the believers.Our fundamental stress should be on values of al-furqaan. However, on strategy, I understand, no two strategists think the same. We think in an evolutionary way as in Quran
"Quran draws an analogy between the community and a seed, which sends forth its shoot, and then it becomes strong, thick and stands firm on its stem delighting the members of community" (4829)But as a whole I am sure we understand each others position quite clearly.
