DOES GOD KNOW THE FUTURE?

What would a being so great and powerful and all knowing and so UN human, be doing with something so very human? You see, this to me is evidence that the whole thing is created BY man. Why would god be so humanlike?
what on earth that is very human?

a book is a human creation. the idea of a god playing puppet master is a human conception. God is above out comprehension. There is just no way for us to fully comprehend ad all knowing creator, yet we constantly project human characterisics to it... HIM, FATHER, VENGEFUL, COMPASSIONATE ETC.. These are all characteristics of humans that we place on this unseen unknown in order to create a false comprehension, to understand at all.

Hi all,
I do not believe that time exist for God. There is no past, present or future. These are limits that exist only for that which is created.
For God there only is. Therefore everything that happens to us is known by God, whether we call it past, present or future. What we call ?past?, God is there, has always been and will always be, what we call ?present?, God is there, has always been and will always be, and what we call ?future?, God is there as well, has always been and will always be.
We don?t know what choices we will make, using our free will, because it is in our ?future?, but God knows, because God is not limited by time.

Peace Ali Omar, all
Indeed, the god knows all the possible outcomes of our actions based on our free-will. We do make the choices, and before even doing any choice, the creator knows already all the possible results, he is the one who made the law.

Dear bmbmm,
I believe everything is following a course, so that when something happens it is due to circumstances that occurred, leading up to the incident. Our choices, therefore, are also due to some influences that are part of a whole. Our ?free? will can not change this, but it gives us a larger spectrum of choices than for example a simpler animal has.
We can not change our time of death, it will happen when circumstances are ?right?. If someone ?nearly? died, it just means that circumstance were not there yet. It could be due to a clever doctor being influenced to do what he did, it could be due to other things, but no doctor or others, including one self, can delay death when circumstances are leading up to it. It is inevitable.
After such an incident we may think that ?if this? and ?if that?, it could have been avoided. Yes, that is correct, but it happened!
Our ?ifs?, therefore, do not matter as long as we did not effectuate these ?ifs? before the incident happened. In order to do that, our influences would have had to be different. We may have acted differently, but we didn?t, because the influences making us do that, were not there, prior to the incident.God knows, or is, the whole system. Everything is as it should be, has always been and will always be. There will never be any surprises.
What we call surprises, or unexpected happenings, is due to lack of knowledge.
The most we can do is to acquire more knowledge and thereby be able to ?see? results of actions more clearly, and use this understanding to avoid surprises, to a greater extent.
But still, ?que sera sera?.Regards
Ali Omar

We are all living within God's system. Everything follows the laws inherent in this system.
Everything is from God. Yes, even the bad, by virtue of it being a part of the system God has created. Our own works as well as those of others (which we all carry out within this system), affect everyone.
"Anything good that happens to you is from God, and anything bad that happens to you is from you..." 479
"Anything bad that happens to you is a consequence of your own deeds..." 4230
And the ultimate all-in-one verse;
"When something good happens to them, they say, 'This is from God,' and when something bad afflicts them, they blame you. Say, 'Everything comes from God'. Why do these people misunderstand almost everything?" 478

Hi,
But I do not think bad things are being part of the system, masjid-al-haram are the Restrictions in the Submission. These restrictions are put here by God to so that the system stay in harmony. I think the bad/sin we do are not part of the system, but problems created by us within the system.

Peace bmbmm,
I agree with the last part of your sentence. But sin is definately a part of the system, (the universe in which we live).
God's system is such that, if I shoot somebody with a gun, they die. The weapon, the bullet that pierces the flesh, the mortal damage it causes inside the person's body, the pain they feel and their consequent death are all creations within God's system.
To put it another way, God has made it possible in this world for pain, suffering, death and other "bad" things to occur.
But when I pull the trigger, it is not God that pulls the trigger, but I. So when I commit this act, it is "bad" and I am responsible. Notwithstanding, everything is in accordance with God's will, and my actions are part of God's overall plan.
You might like to read chapter 1860 through to 1882 for an excellent story about God's "hand" in matters, (God's will) and the explanation for the things we do not understand about God's will.
