PM 34 He sent down to you the Scripture with truth, authenticating what is present with it; and He sent down the Torah and the Injeel.
Pickthall 34 He hath revealed unto thee (Muhammad) the Scripture with truth, confirming that which was (revealed) before it, even as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel.

what is present with it ? or what was before it ? what is the right translation ?

and what is that is 'present' or is 'before it' ? the torat and the injeel ?

Hello mate
I read the arabic verse and can tell you one of the the opinions that I know which is the one that I lean to one I lean too, firstly I have to tell you that I believe this is a mutashabihat verse, Allah is saying the He sent down the Book On Mohammad with truth, the Book here must be the Quran, then Allah said "Musdaqan Lima Bain Yadaihi",
some believe it means the previous scriptures, but this can't make sense as two of the previous ones were mentioned by name in the same verse, as well there were mentioned as sent down, not between Allah hands, therfore it can't mean previus scriptures especially Allah sais the book "The Quran" is confirming what is between "His hands", therefore it must be something that is up there and not sent down, what that thing is, people can only speculate, I did once and I think it is master book with all the laws and plans combined, or even a differnt book that have a law which is to send books as guidance to us before we are forced to give account, and because the specualtion will start dragging and dragging into many possiblities, I would stop right there and say Allah only knows what is between His hands and I only need to care about one book sent down to us and is the one that I will be questioned against
the verse does not have the word "Before it", also I could not see the words "present with it", I only saw "confirming what is between His hands"
