"'Today, we will preserve your body, to set you up as a lesson for future generations.' Unfortunately, many people are totally oblivious to our signs."

What lesson can we learn from a dead body? Thats what I am interested.

Its the same logic used in drivers ed classes in high schools when they show bodies from car crashes.

Its the pharos body that was found recently. He found it with very minimal decays.

The lesson is that the quran is divine to prophesize something like that.
A lesson to the non believer. I know a girl in Sri Lanka who became a believer in the Quran after reading about this.

Thats what it seems at glance. If it has any other lesson please enligten us.

        Peace

          Hello

Saving phoarah dead body was part of Allah'plan as the verse said, I remember an old scholar who told me this

Because phoarah claimed to be a god, and because many beleived he was a god, if he died without others finding his dead body, those who believed he was a god may think that he saved himself by lifting himself up to the heaven for example

seeing him dead body after the many years he claimed to be a god was part of the plan so humans learn that no human can be a god because humans die and here is an example for a human who claimed to be a god but can't you see his dead body with your own eyes?

that is the point I believe

          cheers

I heard long time ago that X-rays revield that he got lot of cracks between his joints, which reveals that he died under very high pressure. Probably presure from water. Don't know how true this is?

This was investigated by a french proffessor who asked for mermission from the Egyptian government to x ray his mummy, his thoughts as far as I remember from his book that I read, that he wondered how it seemed that he died violently "sort of been bashed hard" despite he drowned, it is like he was bashed by the angels of death exactly as the Quran told us that this will happen to the wrong doers at the moment of death

              Allah knows best

              Cheers

Let's try to examine this in a different way. Who was pharao?

He was a king of the world
he hold the position of god`s representative on earth
he was worshipped as a god
his had an organisation on belief and money grubbing (the BODY of law)
he was excessively violent to his opponents
                He worshipped the sun

So sure, we could be talking about his corpse, but it could altso be a refference to his "body". The body of law and being. So does anybody fit the desciption?

                a case study on the pope and the vatican;
                http//www.illinoisfamily.org/content/img/f24872/Pope%20Benedict%20XVI.jpg

he was the king of the world
                yes
                no

"The Pope takes the place of Jesus Christ on earth...by divine right the Pope has supreme and full power in faith, in morals over each and every pastor and his flock. He is the true vicar, the head of the entire church, the father and teacher of all Christians. He is the infallible ruler, the founder of dogmas, the author of and the judge of councils; the universal ruler of truth, the arbiter of the world, the supreme judge of heaven and earth, the judge of all, being judged by no one, God himself on earth." Quoted in the New York Catechism.

he hold the position of god`s representative on earth
                yes
                no

"The Pope and God are the same, so he has all power in Heaven and earth." Pope Pius V, quoted in Barclay, Chapter XXVII, p. 218, "Cities Petrus Bertanous".

he was worshipped as a god
                yes
                no
                http//www.cnn.com/WORLD/9712/25/vatican.pope/link.central.balcony.jpg

his had an organisation on belief and money grubbing (the BODY of law)
                yes
                no

                bank of ambrosia
their own state with agencies all over the world
                Makers of the law

an organisation like this is called "a body"

he was excessively violent to his opponents

im going to spare you the images and ask you to find a history book. And for modern day aggression, look into the jesuit movement. My advice would be to read "vatican assasins; wounded in the house of my freinds" by the calvinist Eric Jon Phelps.

                He worshipped the sun
                http//www.aloha.net/~mikesch/jp2-mon.jpg

This and the fact that there are heavy traces from the vatican to Persia (think hadeeth and sun worship here) make me believe that we are not to look for mummy?s, as they are found all over the world, and mostly they re children sacrificed to dark gods. pharaos body is preserved and well.

                  Peace be upon you,

                  I tend to agree with the understanding of "body of laws" or something along those lines for the following reasons;

                  1. there are MANY mummified bodies found in Egypt and elsewhere in the world

                  2. IT is a GUESS that this mummy being held as the sign is the same one being talked about, tere is no firm proof.

                  3. In Egypt, NO Shekem(King) referred to him/herself as "Pharoah". The word "Pharoah" means "house" like "house of representatives" for example.

It could also be true that this shows the Quran is from God because only God knew that the body exist when the quran was revealed and no one else .

                      Peace be upon you,

Did the God know that the Kings of Egypt, NO WHERE, refer to themselves as "pharoahs"?

What is the sign intended to show when humans did the same thing (i.e. mummified the dead) ?

It was s pecifuc to Phoarah because he claimed to be a god

Mohammad didn't claim to be a god

therefore Allah is telling the stupid humans whp believed that a human was a god, how dumb they were because they can see him dead body in front of them, gods don't die (common knowldge I guess)

regardless Phoarah is a name or a title, it was referring to the Ruler of egypt at the time

                        peace

                          Peace be upon you,

Why do you assume that people thought this person was a "god"? Because he claimed to be? I doubt it. Not a whole nation that was as enlightened as these people. A place where the greatest so called philosophers and so forth came to study, etc.

Further, it is a GUESS that this particular mummy, among other mummies, is the so called "pharoah", so its not even a good example.

There is more to this story.

                                Hello

I believe you are missing an important point "I may be wrong though"

the body of phiron was expelled by the sea waves straight after his death, therefore anyone who lived at the time and believed that phiron was a god as he claimed, have seen him dead with their eyes, then as all ancient egyptians do, they reserved his body in a mummy as you know

later in history they managed to identify one of the mummys as phiron of moses

imagine the sea never expelled his body, for example, it got eaten by sharks, and that is what the Quran meant the Allah cause the sea to expell his dead body so he stays a sign for all generations after him and including his generation

for your question, I believe they only identifed his mummy as phiron of moses in the seventies, therefore, no one knew 1400 years ago that phiron body was reserved, most of the mummies were not even discovered yet if not all

                                cheers

No one has proven that this Mummy is the so called "pharoah" in question. There is not even any proof of any jewish enslavement or any splitting of the sea with a stick.

I'm sorry bro, I read a famous arabic book about 20 years ago by a famous and well respected Egyptian researcher and it is confirmed by him with hundreds of evidences, including items that only belonged to phiron of moses

however for me I would say it has to be one mummy out of the hundreds they found, which one of it? "I won't really care that much" but I will take it as it is found according to the Quran verse that it must be a sign for many generations after him

                                      cheers

                                        Peace be upon you Ahmed,

read a famous arabic book about 20 years ago by a famous and well respected Egyptian researcher and it is confirmed by him with hundreds of evidences

Can you share with us a few of the evidences? Also, can I have the name of this book and/or scholar?

including items that only belonged to phiron of moses

How would someone know what items belonged to the "pharoah" of Moses when there isnt even any proof of Moses?
