Does Islam Allow ?Surrogate Motherhood??
-
If he can provide a Quranic or other scriptural verse decreeing that "It is not allowed", then that's that. Otherwise, given that God authorises the rearing of children by other than their genetic parents, and also authorises the use of wet nurses I don't see why it would be prohibited. Especially as there is not a verse in the Quran specifically forbidding it.
Is artificial insemination using material from either your mate or his spouse totally out of the question?

As SAlaam Alaikum,
If surrogacy is when the sperm of the husband and egg of hte wife is implanted in hte "rented uterus" (lol), i feel that it's ok. Islam is not about rejecting science and medical advancements.
Actually one day I amy be the surrogate mother for my sister becuase it has been warned that she may hvae some problems getting pregnant. I'm looking forward to it I guess.
salaam

as long as the sperm and the egg are from the parents, I can't see any problem with it
cheers

What about the respect to parents. As in the Quran mention the difficuty the mother gone through. So under this circumstances does the respect go to the surrogate mother or the real mother?
hello
logically speaking, any caring mother or acting as amother must be respected and honored
the prophet for example was breast fed by other women and I'm sure as read from the history records that he respected them and honored their names after they died
it is loyality thingy and has nothing to do with religions indeed, however what i found that most humans fail this important principals of caring for the parents and never speak to them in contempt, very rare to happen bro
peace be with you
