        Hi bmbmm,

Common don't be sarcastic. Is homosexuality wrong as according to the Quran?

Sarcastic? ) U picked up an inappropriate reply. Coz what u quoted was my words about children becoming psychic.

Anyways, to ur specific question, I understand there is a disapproval to the homosexual act in Quran. But could it be possible that the disapproval is for those heterosexuals chosing to be homosexual? I dunno yet. Was God adressing people(the minority) who were born biologically like that? were the people in the whole town that was destroyed born as homosexuals? Does God say anything about hermaphrodites as well? I am just thinking out loud here. I have many questions with regards to homosexuality and Quran, and that will need more studying. Like I said, I dont know how this goes. But I would like to approach the subject without preconcieved notions and in an unbiased manner. I dont want to be judgemental without gaining adequate knowledge and understanding of the subject from and outside of Quran.

And moreover lets think beyond the act itself. There is more to people than their sexual orientation and sexual preferences.

        Peace!

Allah was clear that NO HUMAN DID THIS EVIL ACT BEFORE THE PEOPLE OF LUT, I.E IT IS A HUMAN INVENTION BY SUBMITTING TO SATAN, this alone should refute those muslims who are in favour that it is genetic because there were generations before the people of Lut and no one did this evil act ever as Allah is telling us in His Quran

80- We also (sent) Lut He said to his people Do ye commit lewdness such as no people in creation (ever) committed before you?

81- For ye practise your lusts on men in preference to women ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds.

          (80)

          (81)

            Peace "PM",

This, I think is ur preconcieved notion. U should look around for truth. Check out for urself. Do children brought up by homosexuals become psychic?

            Peace!

JK- If not psychic then their life bcomes misreable, they become drug addicts, murdeeres, looters, fraudsters , etc. Dont you see how this sexuality including premarital sex has led society to ruin. There was time my grandpa in Germany remebers where you could leave the keys in thecar and nobody would steal it. At that time hs and all this garbage were banned. Now the US is awakening and the days of Darwinism and hs would soon be over. The devil has had his 150 yrs of miserable corruption and now it's time to blow him off once and for all with reason and logic. Finally believers have the means to speak and while it is still difficult for many to do so in colleges it is becoming easier day by day as more people are coming towards GOD and i believe finally theyll also believe the Quran Alone to be the Word of GOD. GOD Bless!

I wouldnt put it down as genetic but biological. That again is only a propability but a good propability.
And do 'aberration of normal' have to occur in every generation to be true? Were there hermaphrodites at the time of Lut? Any mention of them in Quran? Again, I am just thinking aloud.

JK- I believe that inside your heart you know that hs is totally wrong. Once a homo came into the clinic of my mom here in germany to get a treatement(not related to hs). My mom asked him whether he believed deep in his heart whether what he was doing is right or wrong and he answered that he felt it was wrong. We could also use the lie detector test on homos. Attach them to this device and ask them the same qs my mom asked and then we may get a step further. Anyways i gave you the statistics of how harmful hs is to the society as a whole and at least that should have awakened you. The Quran is clearly against hs and it doesnt talk about those whor born in that way or not SINCE NO ONES BORN A HOMO. This garbage is ONLY UTTERED BY HOMOS THEMSELVES AND THOSE PAID TO SUPPORT THEIR AGENDA. I, JONNY K, WAS ABOUT TO BECOME A HOMO TOO, YOU KNOW and it wasnt because i was born with that. But the feelings came up. I felt that it was satan. I even got zoophile thoughts you know, the feelings came up and i was seeking excuses from Quran to do it but deep in my heart i knew THAT THESE WERE GARBAGE SATNIC THOUGHTS and i can only thank GOD for guiding my rightly and not falling into this trap. GOD Bless!

I think, u r stretching it way toooooooooo far. How many drug addicts, murders, looters, fraudsters that u have known or heard of had homoseual parents? U r mixing 2 completely different issues here.
Sexual orientation has nothing to do with crime.

This is what I meant approaching the subject with bias. U have a preconcieved idea that they are wrong and so, they easily become the reason for all the wrong in the society? Is their any basis to this claim that children grown out of homosexual households become criminals or psyche? This is an emotional response not a logical one.

                    Hello

any compelling evidences that it is biological?

And do 'aberration of normal' have to occur in every generation to be true? Where they hermaphrodites at the time of Lut? Any mention of them in Quran? Again, I am just thinking aloud.

I know that you are thinking loud, but the Quran is louder here, it clearly said NONE did this evei act, it never said or inclined what you are thinking loud of

80- We also (sent) Lut He said to his people Do ye commit lewdness such as no people in creation (ever) committed before you?

81- For ye practise your lusts on men in preference to women ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds

Could it be that these people chose homosexuality over heterosexuality?

nothing in the Quran that suggest your loud thinking, what the Quran was loud about that it normally exculdes the sick people if an order was given, like participating in war or even fasting but in this verse and all the vesres about homsexuality IT NEVER SAUD EXCEPT THOSE BIOLOGICALLY WRONG DESGINED HUMANS

And thats why they are being warned?

                    Peace!

ok so you are leaning to think that the warning is only for the hetros? well for me it can't be "logically speaking" because there is nothing in the Quran that suggest you loud thinking, sorry

just the act of inserting a male sexual organ in the anus that Allah desgned to exrtact the shit, is on its own merit disgusting, filthy, animal act and very dirty

I can;t believe that some humans may think Allah created us this way, this is totally bizzare and no evidence whatsoever to support, it, I may add further articles, as I debated homsexuality for long time

                    peace

JK- lol lol lol One has to be really naive to think that. A lot of crime occurs exactly because of sexual orientation. I can give u an example of my own self. The following ONLY occurs in my thoughts but that is enough to show how dangerous it is. When i get these sick thoughts of hs for example then feelings develop first i may be the light polite one enjoying it and then become the "man" so to say by insertiing and violently doing it giving a damn about the germs and the STDS which could be trnasferred from one person to another. Yes i myself loose control and then all i wanna do is have sex sex and more sex. Ofcourse thanx GOD this only occurs in thoughts but it can cause addiction and if i go in that direction i might never return. More and more pleasure leads to alcohol, drug abuse, etc. Im honest enough to admit this so that you may learn and stop this nonsense. Stop making excuses for devilish activities. Moreover hs is a crime in itself for various reason i stated here already and you still ignored the statistics.

This is what I meant approaching the subject with bias. U have a preconcieved idea that they are wrong and so, they easily become the reason for all the wrong in the society? JK- I can tell this from my own personal thoughts and the way they go when hs or other such things come into my mind. I think you should look at the stats list i posted.

Pre-marital sex, extramarital sex, swingers, group sex etc , I agree, are harmful to the moral structure of the society.

                          Peace!

JK- So is hs. GOD Bless!

                              The Disease-Ridden Homosexual Lifestyle
Using various mainstream medical journals, like the New England Journal of Medicine, one can show just how seriously disease-ridden the "homosexual lifestyle" is. (The fact that the dominant media are downplaying or ignoring the following crucial information should give you a clue as to just how biased and untrustworthy and potentially detrimental they can be.)

One 1982 study found that the anal cancer rate for homosexuals is way above normal, maybe as high as 50 times normal.

And a 1997 study again drew attention to the "strong association between anal cancer and male homosexual contact."

(The reason for the connection is that the lining of the anus, as opposed to the much thicker lining of the vagina, is only a single cell in thickness, tears easily, and thus is an easy point of entry for viruses and bacteria. Just as repeatedly assaulting lung tissue with cigarette smoke increases one's lung cancer risk, repeatedly damaging the anus and rectum increases one's anal cancer risk. Anal sex frequently results in damage to the anus and rectum. Too, this helps explain why AIDS is spread so easily in the homosexual community. However, even when there are not any tears in the anal lining, there is still a high risk for HIV infection because certain cells in its mucous lining can be infected and will then carry HIV deeper into one's body.)

                              Another study found that

                              1. 80% of syphilitic patients are homosexual;

                              2. about one-third of homosexuals are infected with active anorectal herpes simplex viruses;

                              3. chlamydia infects 15% of homosexuals; and

                              4. "a host of parasites, bacterial, viral, and protozoan are all rampant in the homosexual population."

                              Another study found that

                              1. amoebiasis, a parasitic disease, afflicts around 32% of homosexuals;

                              2. giardiasis, also a parasitic disease, afflicts 14% of homosexuals (no heterosexuals in the study were found to have either amoebiasis or giardiasis);

                              3. gonorrhea afflicts 14% of homosexuals; and

                              4. 11% of homosexuals had anal warts.

Another study found that anorectal sepsis, a potentially toxic bacterial infection, is 4 times more common in homosexual than heterosexual men.

According to another study, the "prevalence of EBV type 2 among homosexual men was significantly higher than it was among heterosexual men (39% vs. 6%)."

(That virus causes infectious mononucleosis and is associated with two types of cancer Burkitt's lymphoma and nasopharyngeal carcinoma.)

And other studies have found abnormally high rates of hepatitis B infection, prostate cancer, colitis, enteritis, proctitis, and proctocolitis in homosexual men.

In 1997 a writer for the pro-homosexual New York Times noted that a young male homosexual in America has about a 50% chance of getting H.I.V. by middle age, that many homosexuals have abandoned "safe sex" in favor of unprotected anal sex, and that the incidence of gonorrhea rose 74% among homosexuals between 1993 and 1996.

In early 2005 the Chicago Department of Public Health reported that the percentage of Chicago AIDS diagnoses connected to homo/bisexual men increased from 37% in year 2000 to 44% in 2003; and it also found that homo/bisexual men accounted for approximately 60% of Chicago syphilis cases.

Regarding lesbians, they face a higher breast cancer risk. One study of lesbians found that

"Sixty-three percent of the lesbians had never been pregnant.... Not having children increases a woman's breast cancer risk by between two to six times." Not having children also "may be a risk factor for ovarian cancer and may be implicated in endometrial cancer as well."

Another study found bacterial vaginosis occuring in 33% of the lesbians but only in 13% of heterosexual women, and found that "Cervical cytology abnormalities were uncommon but only found in the lesbians." (Those abnormalities may be precursors to cervical cancers.)

Another study of lesbians found a "relatively high prevalence of the viral STDs, herpes simplex and human papillomavirus ."

And according to another "Genital HPV infection and squamous intraepithelial lesions are common among women who are sexually active with women."

(One reason lesbians have a relatively high incidence of STDs is that, as some studies have documented, lesbians have more sexual partners than heterosexual women. For example, a large University of Chicago study concluded that lesbians have four times as many sexual partners as straight women.)

It should be noted that lesbian sexual diseases have not been researched nearly as much as male homosexual sexual diseases. This is because lesbian sex was presumed to be relatively safe. Some doctors are fairly calling for more research into the health of lesbians. With more study, we may find the "lesbian lifestyle" is not so safe after all.

Another relatively unknown fact the blood of male homosexuals tends to be so contaminated with various viruses and bacteria that all male homosexuals who have been sexually active since 1977 are barred from donating blood.

A contributing factor to all the diseases found in homosexuals is habitual promiscuity; and a contributing factor to their promiscuity is the popularity of drug use among them. As a homosexual columnist for the Windy City Times, Jose Zuniga, has reported, there is "out-of-control drug use undermining our community's health and well-being, and contributing to the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases."

Homosexual author Dennis Altman, in one of his books, likewise noted the popularity of drugs among homosexuals "What is disturbing is the degree to which much of the gay world rests on a sea of alcohol and drugs."

Liberals and their media love to restrict the rights of consenting adults who smoke (because smoking can be harmful), who drink alcohol (for obvious reasons), who own guns (because accidents and murders happen), who believe homosexual activity is immoral and penalizeable (because liberals mistakenly think that there is a right to aberrations like homosexual behavior and also think that any "speech" that reflects negatively on homosexuals----like the information you are reading on this website----should be considered "hate speech"), etc., etc. Liberals love to patronizingly restrict our freedoms ("for our own good").

However, liberals apparently believe it's perfectly okay for people to spread sexual diseases all over this country. Why, we can't restrict the rights of people who spread STDs! That's oppression and fascism! Liberals are such hypocrites.

Incidentally, spending on AIDS research is excessive, totally out-of-whack, unconscionably unfair--and homosexuals are so selfish they don't care. In the year 2000 America spent around $180 million on prostate cancer research versus around $7 billion on AIDS research, but the number of men who are stricken with prostate cancer each year in the U.S.A. is several times the number of people annually stricken with AIDS!! And in the year 2000 we spent only around $425 million on breast cancer research versus the $7 billion on AIDS research, even though the number of women who are stricken with breast cancer each year is again several times the number of people annually stricken with AIDS in this country!! It's pretty clear that homosexuals care little about those who die of prostate and breast cancers and other diseases that are relatively underfunded compared to AIDS. Where is their humanity and sense of fairness?

Another point that needs making homosexuals have done much damage to this country. For example, thousands of innocent hemophiliacs died of AIDS in years past because HIV-positive homosexuals infected the blood supply. (In 1984 "the Centers for Disease Control found 74 percent of hemophiliacs who received blood factors made from the plasma of U.S. donors were HIV positive.") And for another example, we are spending millions and millions of taxpayer dollars on anti-AIDS drugs for homosexuals who voluntarily engaged in unsafe sex. Because of these outrages homosexuals collectively owe America an apology and reparations for the damages.

To sum up, for various reasons (homosexual acts are physiologically unnatural, homosexuals are inclined to be notably promiscuous), the "homosexual lifestyle" tends to be a very unhealthy one--unhealthy both to individuals and to the society that indirectly pays for or suffers the consequences. To encourage anyone to engage in homosexual activity is clearly irresponsible and depraved.

Homosexuality is not merely a religious issue

If you ask why homosexual activity is wrong, many believers answer, ?Because the Bible/Quran forbid it.? Gay activists can then argue that efforts to limit their lifestyle and its promotion in schools are an unconstitutional attempt to impose religion.

But the immorality of same-sex relations is not just a religious issue. Homosexual activity is wrong not because the Bible/Quran forbid it. Rather, the Bible/Quran forbid it because it is wrong. Why is it wrong? Because it violates natural law, which is based on reason, not faith.

Natural law has to do with the fundamental goods we humans naturally incline to and the principles that govern our pursuit of them. These goods, which are essential to our personhood, include life, truth, community and creativity. By engaging in them, we fulfill our human mandate. Both civil and religious authorities endorse natural law when they rule against murder, which attacks life, or perjury which attacks truth. They also endorse natural law when they rule against sexual irregularities, which attack community, life, or both
                                .
                                Civic morality
Chastity has long been treated as both a moral and a civic virtue. In different times and places, leaders of Church and State have recognized that chastity supports the family and contributes to the common good. Caesar Augustus, a pagan, attempted to restore chastity in a decadent Roman society to strengthen his newly founded empire. He outlawed adultery and sodomy and encouraged marriage and procreation.

At the basis of natural law is a recognition of the difference between good and evil. God conveys a sense of what ought to be. Evil conveys the opposite. The notion of what ought to be arises from our awareness of completeness versus incompleteness.

When, for example, we appreciate that we can see, that we are visually complete, we recognize that this is as it ought to be, because seeing is what humans are naturally able to do. If, however, we are blind, visually incomplete, we recognize that this is not as it ought to be, because it negates what humans are naturally able to do. To be sighted, then, is good, physically, not morally. To be blind is evil, also physically, not morally. Evil is not the mere absence of good. Evil is deficiency, the absence of good that is required. We do not consider it evil when we cannot fly. Although flight is good, flying is not something humans are naturally able to do. Our lack of flight is not the absence of a good that is required. It is not a deficiency and therefore is not physically evil.

Morality is about duties and rights. When these are at stake, good and evil become right and wrong. ?Ought? becomes a moral, not simply a physical, imperative.

Ethically speaking, our first duty is to do good and shun evil. This is what we call a self-evident principle. No reasonable person holds that we should do evil and shun good.

Vision, to return to our example, is not only a human faculty but, in a sense, it is the object of a right. We claim a right to see because vision affects significantly our ability to complete our human mandate. Consequently, for someone to deliberately blind us would not only be physically evil but also morally wrong.

                                Sexuality
What has this got to do with homosexual activity? Well, as I indicated, the goods fundamental to sex are community and life. In its very nature and meaning, human sexuality is both relational (community) and procreative (life). Only the heterosexual union, however, is capable of affirming both the relational and procreative goods.

The homosexual union, on the other hand, is not open to the procreative good. Although it engages procreative organs, it does so in a context that is alien to procreation. Not only particular homosexual acts but the entire relationship denies this fundamental human good. In doing so, it renders human sexuality incomplete. But as we saw, incompleteness, the absence of a required good, is the definition of evil. When fundamental human goods are at stake, evil is something we ought never to choose.

The point is that you recognize that a rational (i.e. secular) argument exists. That makes it inappropriate to talk about imposing religion or violating the separation of Church and State. There is such a thing as public morality, including the civic virtue of chastity. Emperor Augustus saw this, but it was too late to overcome the sexual licence of the late Roman Republic. That was the real reason why it collapsed.

And 3 out of 4 heterosexuals are carriers for the HPV (warts) virus. So now lets see you post the %'s for heterosexuals along with EVERY source for EVERY statistic you post. people PLEASE consider the source when you post this crap. ALL people have certain parasites, viruses and bacteria ESPECIALLY in your rectal/colon area. You can pass them on to your balls simply by wiping. You are more likely to pass an std through penial/vaginal intercourse than anal. Lets see your % of heteros with chlamydia. Too one sided.

                                  From the CDC

Chlamydia Expanded Screening Efforts Result in More Reported Cases, But Majority of Infections Remain Undiagnosed

Chlamydia remains the most commonly reported infectious disease in the United States. In 2004, 929,462 chlamydia diagnoses were reported, up from 877,478 in 2003. Even so, most chlamydia cases go undiagnosed. It is estimated that there are approximately 2.8 million new cases of chlamydia in the United States each year.1

The national rate of reported chlamydia in 2004 was 319.6 cases per 100,000 population, an increase of 5.9 percent from 2003 (301.7). The increases in reported cases and rates likely reflect the continued expansion of screening efforts and increased use of more sensitive diagnostic tests, rather than an actual increase in new infections.

                                  Impact on Women

Female Chlamydia Rates, 2004Women, especially young women, are hit hardest by chlamydia. Studies have found that chlamydia is more common among young women than young men, and the long-term consequences of untreated disease for women are much more severe. The chlamydia case rate for females in 2004 was 3.3 times higher than for males (485.0 vs. 147.1). However, much of this difference reflects the fact that women are far more likely to be screened than men. Females ages 15 to 19 had the highest chlamydia rate (2,761.5), followed by females ages 20 to 24 (2,630.7).

African-American women are also disproportionately impacted by chlamydia. In 2004, the rate of reported chlamydia among black females (1,722.3) was more than 7.5 times that of white females (226.6). Because case reports do not provide a complete account of the burden of disease, researchers also evaluate chlamydia prevalence in subgroups of the population to better estimate the true extent of the disease. For example, data from chlamydia screening in family planning clinics across the United States indicates that roughly 6 percent of 15- to 24-year-old females in these settings are infected.

Approximately 20 million people are currently infected with HPV. At least 50 percent of sexually active men and women acquire genital HPV infection at some point in their lives. By age 50, at least 80 percent of women will have acquired genital HPV infection. About 6.2 million Americans get a new genital HPV infection each year.

Most people who have a genital HPV infection do not know they are infected. The virus lives in the skin or mucous membranes and usually causes no symptoms. Some people get visible genital warts, or have pre-cancerous changes in the cervix, vulva, anus, or penis. Very rarely, HPV infection results in anal or genital cancers.

Genital warts usually appear as soft, moist, pink, or flesh-colored swellings, usually in the genital area. They can be raised or flat, single or multiple, small or large, and sometimes cauliflower shaped. They can appear on the vulva, in or around the vagina or anus, on the cervix, and on the penis, scrotum, groin, or thigh. After sexual contact with an infected person, warts may appear within weeks or months, or not at all.

Genital warts are diagnosed by visual inspection. Visible genital warts can be removed by medications the patient applies, or by treatments performed by a health care provider. Some individuals choose to forego treatment to see if the warts will disappear on their own. No treatment regimen for genital warts is better than another, and no one treatment regimen is ideal for all cases.

Results of a nationally representative study show that genital herpes infection is common in the United States. Nationwide, at least 45 million people ages 12 and older, or one out of five adolescents and adults, have had genital HSV infection. Between the late 1970s and the early 1990s, the number of Americans with genital herpes infection increased 30 percent.

Genital HSV-2 infection is more common in women (approximately one out of four women) than in men (almost one out of five). This may be due to male-to-female transmissions being more likely than female-to-male transmission.

                                  http//www.cdc.gov/std/stats/trends2004.htm

Each year in the United States, it is estimated that more than 1 million women experience an episode of acute PID. More than 100,000 women become infertile each year as a result of PID, and a large proportion of the ectopic pregnancies occurring every year are due to the consequences of PID. Annually more than 150 women die from PID or its complications.

Trichomoniasis is the most common curable STD in young, sexually active women. An estimated 7.4 million new cases occur each year in women and men.

                                  How do people get trichomoniasis?

Trichomoniasis is caused by the single-celled protozoan parasite, Trichomonas vaginalis. The vagina is the most common site of infection in women, and the urethra (urine canal) is the most common site of infection in men. The parasite is sexually transmitted through penis-to-vagina intercourse or vulva-to-vulva (the genital area outside the vagina) contact with an infected partner. Women can acquire the disease from infected men or women, but men usually contract it only from infected women.

There is a common misconception that anal sex is practised almost exclusively by gay men. This is certainly not the case. An estimated one third of gay couples do not include anal intercourse in their lovemaking. About one third of heterosexual couples try it from time to time.

It is thought that about 10 per cent of heterosexual couples have anal intercourse as a regular feature of their lovemaking. In absolute numbers, more heterosexual couples have anal sex than homosexual couples.

Homosexuality does not necessarily mean 'anal sex'.
Like I pointed out there are more heterosexuals who do anal sex than homosexuals.

My other point, for all people who came with 'anal sex' can be harmful to those involved. May be so. What about smoking? Should we punish people who smoke? Infact smoking not only harms the individual doing it, but also others around him. Passive smokers have a high chance of acquiring smoking related pathology.

                                      Health Effects of Smoking

About half of all Americans who continue to smoke will die because of the habit. Each year, about 438,000 people die in the US from tobacco use. Nearly 1 of every 5 deaths is related to smoking. Cigarettes kill more Americans than alcohol, car accidents, suicide, AIDS, homicide, and illegal drugs combined.

                                      Cancer

Cigarette smoking accounts for at least 30% of all cancer deaths. It is a major cause of cancers of the lung, larynx (voice box), oral cavity, pharynx (throat), and esophagus, and is a contributing cause in the development of cancers of the bladder, pancreas, cervix, kidney, stomach, and some leukemias.

About 87% of lung cancer deaths are caused by smoking. Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death among both men and women, and is one of the most difficult cancers to treat. Fortunately, lung cancer is largely a preventable disease. Groups that promote nonsmoking as part of their religion, such as Mormons and Seventh-day Adventists, have much lower rates of lung cancer and other smoking-related cancers.

                                      Other Health Problems

Cancers account for only about half of the deaths related to smoking. Smoking is also a major cause of heart disease, aneurysms, bronchitis, emphysema, and stroke, and it contributes to the severity of pneumonia and asthma.

Tobacco has damaging effects on women's reproductive health. It is associated with reduced fertility and a higher risk of miscarriage, early delivery (prematurity), stillbirth, infant death, and is a cause of low birth weight in infants. It has also been linked to sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).

Smoking has also been linked to a variety of other health problems, including cataracts, bone thinning, hip fractures, and peptic ulcers.

Furthermore, the smoke from cigarettes has a harmful health effect on those around the smoke. (Refer to the American Cancer Society documents, "Secondhand Smoke" and "Women and Smoking.")

So u see, smoking causes more health problems than anal sex does. Should we punish smokers?

Secondhand smoke is classified as a ?known human carcinogen? (cancer-causing agent) by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the US National Toxicology Program, and the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), a branch of the World Health Organization.

Secondhand tobacco smoke contains over 4,000 chemical compounds. More than 60 of these are known or suspected to cause cancer.

Secondhand smoke can be harmful in many ways. In the United States alone, each year it is responsible for

                                      • an estimated 35,000 to 40,000 deaths from heart disease in people who are not current smokers

                                      • about 3,000 lung cancer deaths in nonsmoking adults

                                      • other respiratory problems in nonsmokers, including coughing, phlegm, chest discomfort, and reduced lung function

                                      • 150,000 to 300,000 lower respiratory tract infections (such as pneumonia and bronchitis) in children younger than 18 months of age, which result in 7,500 to 15,000 hospitalizations

                                      • increases in the number and severity of asthma attacks in about 200,000 to 1 million asthmatic children

                                      • increases in the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) and middle ear infections in young children

                                      • low birth weight in babies whose mothers are exposed to ETS

The 1986 US Surgeon General's report on the health consequences of involuntary smoking reached 3 important conclusions about secondhand smoke

                                      • Involuntary smoking causes disease, including lung cancer, in healthy nonsmokers.

                                      • When compared with the children of nonsmoking parents, children of parents who smoke have more frequent respiratory infections, more respiratory symptoms, and slower development of lung function as the lung matures.

                                      • Separating smokers and nonsmokers within the same air space may reduce, but does not eliminate, the exposure of nonsmokers to secondhand smoke.

Some studies have also suggested that ETS may be linked to an increased risk of breast cancer. The California Environmental Protection Agency recently concluded that ETS causes breast cancer in younger, mainly premenopausal women. The US Surgeon General is currently reviewing the evidence on this link, and a report is expected in late 2006.

And here u go......Smoking causes so much harm to people not even doing it, becoz of those who smoke. So, what shall we do about the smokers? Do we punish them?

                                      Peace!

                                        Hi,

So, homosexuality is there, what to do about it?
                                        Condemn it?
                                        Accept it?

                                        Regds

Allah didn't say i the Quran that smoking is an evil act

i.e. homosexuality is evil, also Allah didn't say in the Quran that homosexuals are only the ones who do anal sex, He warned us not to have lust for men, i.e. not to even kiss any man on the lips

                                          got it?

                                          cheers
