Insha Allah...and if we are supposed to say it.

I was recently told that there is a verse in the Quran that indicates we are supposed to say "InshaAllah" when speaking of future events....
"I'm going to the store Insha Allah"
"We plan to have a party Insha Allah" etc etc.
I do know that it is customary to say this. But I cannot find an actual verse or remember one at this time.
Any help would be appreciated.

The logic is very simple. When you goto sleep, God seizes your soul, then He releases the souls that are meant to live, while He retains the ones claimed by death...Thus, we would say to a future event "Except if God wills" as He may decide to take your soul before you do that thing.
To simply say "InshaAllah" is wrong as it makes God responsible for your actions (or lack thereof) which goes against the gift of free will we have been given.

1823. Wala taqoolanna lishay-in innee faAAilun thalika ghadan- Illa an yashaa Allahu waothkur rabbaka itha naseeta waqul AAasa an yahdiyani rabbee li-aqraba min hatha rashadan
