Natural delivery(child birth) isn't physically pleasurable for the women. Infact it can be the most painful experience in one's life. But women do it, dont they?
It does not have to be painful if one learns the skills needed, namely meditation. Just google pain free childbirth.

These are aids Sawtooth. They make the experience worthwhile so that people can reproduce. Sex is pleasurable. If sex were not pleasurable then would people do it? Would people have to adopt the means of other species, such as a mating season?

I guess you never heard of Thich Quang Duc, the Buddhist Monk who sat in the Lotus meditation position and poured gasoline on his body and burned himself alive in protest of the Vietnam war, and did not move a muscle.

Monks/ saints spend all their life meditating to reach where they reach.Now would u say an ordinary human being can emulate this act? This is where I say u r living in ideologies and not being realistic.

Yes, sex is often masculinized. It is for the pleasure of the male. There are females (I believe a great amount) who have not had the opportunity to know what an orgasm is like, unfortunately. These are the women who have been with the wrong men, who are too , unfortunately, misinformed about sex.
There are tribes that have gone so far to educate the males and females about sex that they teach them how to please their future spouse. I think it is a good thing.

If you would be more scientific in your approach and not emotional (pleasure), you would see that it is the PRIMARY purpose. Why else would semen come out the penis at the end?

The word "Anti-Darwinian" is a such give away isn't it to the science of it all wink We are living in a Anti-Darwinian World chap where Darwinian Reproductive Urge is no longer in control but we are. In this world primary use of SEX is for PLEASURE. REPRODUCTION has become secondary and even then a matter of choice.
Pleasure accompanies both cases, but realize that that which gives you pleasure is capable of enslaving you (drugs, money, sex, junk food, all addictions)
Addictions have a complex pathways and is not reducible to a single cause. We human beings can easily get addicted to many bizzare things like train spotting or counting lamposts on sundays! Some even become obsessive about measuring temperature outside with a thermometer wink
Just kiddin -)Anything excess is bad chap. You dont have to tell me that. That is why many wise people of the past like Socrates, Confucious, Buddah etc have chosen the middle ground, avoiding either extremes of self-mortification and indulgence.

My point was even if sex wasnt this pleasurable and was meant only for conception, couples who want kids might still do it for the sake of procreation, just like women give birth even though its not physically pleasurable for them(infact painful in this case).

Getting back to my point, there are people who have learned how to meditate and hav had pain free child birth. If you think you must spend your whole life to learn how to meditate, there is nothing I can say to convince you, you must try it yourself.

U did mention he was a buddhist monk, didnt u?
Do u realise what kind of training a person undergoes to become a monk and what kind of conditions he diciplines himself in? This is their life 24*7.Monks/ saints spend all their life meditating to reach where they reach.

Like I said meditation and being calm can ease child birth a bit but wont make it pain free. The uterine contractions by themselves are very painful. And then the baby coming out through a narrow vagina.
And I did not say one must spend their whole life to learn how to meditate but yes, to reach the level of enlightment that monks do, to attain the spiritual powers they do.. it takes a lot of commitment, disciplining, focus, devotion and time to it.

I disagree with the idea you are presenting. You are speaking of an Eastern system where the yoga technique differs from the yoga technique of the West which is based upon the Qabalah. The method of the West is adpoted to the Psychic constitution of its people who are not able to live under the Eastern conditions to which you are referring.
