Peace idol-free. On the subject of muhammed. If just one person in history has witnessed a man called muhammed then your theory becomes subjective. I respect your decision to say it cannot be verified and so is not knowledge,but other people have different criteria for verification.(and so it becomes dependent on the individual and so subjective.) How can i verify an extinct species of animal existed? Someone who has seen this species (who is currently alive) can confirm it for me,whether i choose to verify or not is up to me and so subjective.
I have not seen footage of the monk you mentioned,but with further analysis i could verify it,but not first hand,and so it is subjective whether i believe it or not. Hope im making sense. ! peace and respect.
ps;i do believe that the monk you mentioned could do what he did in protest-i verify it with intuition.(verification does not have to be 100%?). -

But modern medicine can give a women a painless birth these days quite easily. So need for a women to be a monk to have a painless childbirth and meditation in childbirth for most women is not practical so please let it go.

Now if this is the case then wouldnt this go in the Bibles favor that the women were responsible for all blunder and therefreo ahd to give birth in pain and it was not till after Jesus came that now GOD is finally removing His punishment from them? One of the things i found subjective was when you imply or say homo-sexuality is unnatural or repulsive.
It is unnatural based on OBJECTIVE observation. How is that subjective? The DESIGN proves the purpose. That is objective.
When clearly some homo-sexual people consider it natural and attractive. This is clearly a case of one persons opinion versus anothers.
Yes, they are dealing with FEELINGS (subjective), I am dealing with form and function (objective), see the difference?
You cannot objectively state that a homsexual who enjoys his status feels the same distaste for his activities as you. I myself am happily married and hetro-sexual,the idea of me personally being attracted to a man is distasteful,but this is me and not someone who is gay. Its like saying objectively the natural thing to eat is potatoes,not beans. I must admit that although i feel there are some permanent truths,many truths are relative or subjective.
The above is based on "feelings", my position revolves around teh form and function.
Anyway i respect a lot of your posts and look forward to them. Maybe its hard to get our points across in type fully, or we have different definitions of subjective/objective.

You know, in meditation, you are suppossed to slow the breathing down, unlike the LAMAS breathing most women are taught. If you observe someone getting emotional, thier breath gets short and choppy, like LAMAS. This is opposite of what needs to be done.

The first thing i wanted to remove from your mind, if that is the case, was that "modern medicine" is NOT the work of humans though it may appear to be so. NO, everything is controlled by GOD and this is what most people do not realize. This means that GOD wanted it to happen now. So from this the Christians can then conclude that finally GOD wants to relieve women after a long history of punishment since, as they claim, she was responsible for the fall of Adam. Get it now? I didn't say sex is bad... I'm just saying that lets not just to conclusions about what we'll have in heaven... we're making lots of assumptions that lead to conclusions we like, instead of just holding to the text.

Why is sex considered by many people/muslims taboo to talk about?It was not like this in the begining I think. It was when the Ulema of the Islamic Empire gained power around 10th century that they decided that sex is something to be shamed off. I think they felt threatened by the power of female sexuality so they decided to suppress it. This suppression is still apparant today. The Islamic Scholars in Egypt have issued a fatwa recently to say that to have sex completely naked annuls the marriage or looking at the gentials while having sex also annuls the marriage! You can't help but laugh at such attitudes.
Sex and Sexuality was quite free in India until the Mughals took over the subcontinent and destroyed many of the temples that celebrated human sexuality. After centuries of Mughal rule Indians themselves became conservative about sex. And by the time the British took over, the Christian missionaries ensured that sex was seen as something abohorrent to the new converts. The Christian attitudes towards sex has always been an enigma because Christian Priests looked on sex with such loathing that it was irrational. But since the Enlightenment in the Christian World attitudes towards sex has changed completely.
Muslim world will have to go through a similiar enlightenement before they too can see sex as natural and healthy part of human existence.

I think Moghals brought some morality to the country. So, I would say they did some good really in that area.
The way Sex was celebrated in India before wasnt a good thing, in my opinion. It was just animal passion. Women were reduced to sex objects. They were even sold and bought for sex as slaves. The woman did not have any say otherwise. And there were no morals.
Come on look at those paintings and sculptures........in all those old palaces and ancient structures. They say a lot.I agree its very important to have a healthy and realistic attitude but not to the extent that people dont see any morals anymore. We dont want the world to become one big brothel, do we?wink There needs to be a balance in the 'celebration'. Celebration is good only if within a monogamous relationship. And I dont think it was primarily celebrated like this back then in India.
