Salam alaikum,
I don't think I can manage weekly discussions... people have a hard time coordinating their schedules. I don't have a problem opening the room every day and staying until I can't stay any more. -)
If someone can come in and start a discussion, that would be fine. Let me know if you're from the forum. -) Right now it kind of just goes where it goes, usually started by people asking questions.
-
What is your general position in these forums? One problem I noticed (and which you've mentioned) is that the 'quranic party' generally dont have uniform views. This poses a problem when answering traditionalists. I formulated a 5 level of 'intensity' which I used to not scare people off.
-
Sharia and sectarian questioning - is there sharia law, what is it, where are its bases.
-
hadith itself - is it valid as a source of islam
-
salaat- does the ritual exist
-
hajj - does the quran mandate going to mecca etc
-
nabi and rasul - does the quran carry a historical perspective.
which level do you operate at, if i may ask?

Salam alaikum,
Usually I just keep the room open and make sure the conversation doesn't get rude. I don't start conversations or direct them much. I don't force any beliefs or tell people they're wrong or anything...
If you want to help out, I'd be glad to share responsibility with you.

Salam,
I was running Path of Allah for a while, no one "really" came to it, so I stopped. I can start again, just to see. Please try to find it within the next couple of days. Be prepared to talk (type), too. D
Hi Leena,
Yes, would be great!
Hope to see you and others too at paltalk.Bye

Regarding Paltalk there is a room from a Quranist called
"yes, Bukhari is my god you deviant Qurani - plz don't say that Bukhari is wrong ... cause he can't be wrong... "lol
under the Social Issues/Human Rights (!?) section.
Maybe see you there...

I have been there before... It seemed like he just wanted to provoke people, there was always an argument... -)
I'm not sure if he is "our" kind of "Qurani" either, he said that the term applies to all Muslims because we all follow the Quran. He asked a visitor "Why don't you ask someone who says they are Sunni if they follow Quran? But if someone says they are Qurani, you ask them if they follow Sunnah"
-
Peace Leena
well, if he's "our" kind of "Qurani" I'm not so sure of it either but still I was pleased to find a room with hadith rejecters with an alive discussion.
I sometimes didn't like his zynical and satirical style also (see the name of the room...) which is very confusing for newcomers. But he is not too rude to people and compared to other rooms at paltalk the tone is quite moderate. And he refers a lot to the Quran and urges people to study with him in the quran. But I have been there only once, so I cannot say too much about it.
See you

Hi everyone, )
I was there yesterday for quite a long time. They had interesting discussions in a decent manner. Frequently there were many people joining and participating. Some of them have deep knowledge of Deens.
Hope to see some fminders ... wink
