Why Can't You Live Without God?

As SAlaam Alaikum,
I would like to hear from you all on why you can't live without God. Meaning what is your personal relationship with him? How do you feel about him? Why do you feel that he must be in your life?
Have you ever tried to live a life without him? If so, what happened? How long did it last?
For some reason I keep trying to imagine a life where I can address religion casually, just address God casually... but nope, it can never work when I think of reality. I feel too close too God. I mean I think of him and I just have a feeling come over me. Along with that I am very much so Muslim, and I want to have a Muslim family-- and be all "Muslimie'. I want to have kids and raise them with religion very much in their life. etc, etc.
I can't imagine my life without God. It just brings so many things in perspective for me.
It's late at night and i need to hit the sack for school tomrow, so I can't really elaborate, hopefully tomorrow I will, except if God wills another way. But give me your stories and perspectives.

In the past I tried to live without God. I fully believed in Him, but I didn't care about any rules. I wanted my freedom and didn't want anybody to tell me what to do or not to do. So I did almost everything that God forbid. Till one day I came to the realization that I needed God in my life, because although I had the freedom to do what I wanted, I still felt empty inside. I needed His guidance, because the rebellious life I was leading only gave me more problems, instead of fixing my problems. The decisions I made only brought me misery. I needed His guidance hard, 'cause I was really starting to get bad!
The way I feel about God can't be described in words. It's just an intense loving feeling inside that I wish to share with everybody! I wish that everyone could just feel it and understand why I changed. Cause a lot of people can't understand how I changed from being harsh to a peace loving person.

Living without God is only a phrase that carries no truth, only in perception, which is the real problem anyway. What I mean is that the GOD is the very source of all BEING, all LIFE. The God is the only ONE.
You can use a very crude analogy of the human being and its individual cells (who have a life of thier own). Imagine the cells of your body saying "Have any of you thought about a life without "Idolfree1"? "
Or even better, imagine the characters of Shakespeare, that he conjured from his own thoughts, having a conversation "Have you though about a life with Shakespeare?"

Life is still or deadl without God creating in you and making you realise your needs of the day.
Many Atheist live quite happily.
Once freed from the divine yoke of hell fire and damnations they find it quite liberating to live their life as a human being. Some atheist instead of becoming selfish become very humanitarian in their outlook and deeds than a average believer in a God.

Yes, unknowingly and without application of their mind as to wherefrom the Guidance comes. They surely know it is not from them but from God. Either we abide by it or reject, it is our choice. Either you be grateful to God for such benevolence or overlook HIM, is our pride or self-respect.

Peace all. Some atheists do not deny god,they deny a certain concept of god.(all powerful,all-knowing etc..) And there are many people who are not monotheists but have morals and peace in their life. Im sure some people who commit atrocities against humanity believe in god,but what good do their beliefs achieve in that situation?I dont mind what a person believes(Anybody can believe in anything they want.) ,its good intentions and actions that count.

Some of the Brilliant Minds have been Atheist. So yes they have used their minds quite well.
