Can Prophet Muhammad Curse People?

As Salaam Alaikum,

I would like to know if Prophet Muhammad can curse poeple? I am not saying like put some voodoo curse on them, but I am just talking about "cursing" people.

Here is a hadith which traditionalist claim the Prophet Muhammad did (as told by one of his companions).

Abd Allah ibn Masud ra said "Allah Most High curses women who tatoo others, women who have tatoo applied to them, women who have their eyebrows clipped, and women artificially tooth-gapped, all for cosmetic purposes, changing Allah's fashioning." News of this reached a woman of Banu Asad called Umm Yaqub. She came to him saying "O Abu Abd al-Rahman! I heard that you cursed such-and-such." He replied "Why should I not curse those whom Allah's Messenger saws cursed?" She said "Lo! I certainly read all that is between the two covers , and I did not find this." He replied "Had you read it you would have certainly found it. Did you not read (597)?" She said yes. He said "Allah's Messenger saws forbade it."

I am sure prophet Muhammad would surely have cursed whom allah had cursed, say, the mischief mongers and that belie the Truth and spread falsehood in the name of allah.

don't know sister the above seems that people saying that the prophet cursed but did he or not?

the Quran tells us 2 things about Mmohammad

he was the best of character
Allah made his heart soft on the unbelievers so they listen to his important message

therefore any hadith that you read and suggest the prophet cursed others is nothing but conjecture, UNLESS THOSE PEOPLE WAS MICHEIFERS ON EARTH THAT WERE CURSED BY ALLAH AND THE PROPHET INFORMED THEY THEY ARE CURSED BY ALLAH, similar to what sultana suggested
