Do we need the quran for our salvation?or is it just the guidance?and is it possible this guidance can be found at other places?

Peace all. I believe a person can be sucessful without knowing all the quran,because the principles of how to live can be found in life experience(in many different ways).The quran is a piece of information,not the total information of the universe.If it was the total information of the universe, what would be the pint of new knowledge,rational thinking,discovery and science?

I say --Yes its needed
Without it we would not know about the true God,without it we would not know the true way to salvation and withut it we would not know that it was the true words of Allah.Without it most would still be pagan,christian or jew or even atheist..
The Quran is our guide to the GOD,its our giude to how to live and how to recieve eternal life,its our guide to how to treat fellow man and all life.
With out it we would be lost..To say its not needed,is like saying that Allah didnt know what he was doing when he sent it to mankind,why send it if its not needed, and saying its not needed and saying Allah didnt know what he was doing is the same as blasphemy...imo..

This is not a simple yes or no question.
It's not needed, atleast not those who haven't received it. I used to ask people this question in relation to quran... If your creator wrote YOU (personally) a letter, would you read it? And you can take it a step further... After you read it, would you throw it away?

God has promised those who believe and do right that they will have forgiveness and a great reward.

And those who reject and deny Our revelations, they are the dwellers of Hell.

Who is more wicked than one who denies God?s revelations and turns away from them? We will punish those who turn away from Our revelations with the pain of retribution for what they turned away.
5921 Had We sent down this Quran to a mountain, you would have seen it trembling, crumbling, out of reverence for God. And such are the examples We cite for the people, that they may reflect.

Indeed you can't throw it away you will read it over and over again to the end of ones time .
You will not follow the screwed translations though as that i think is against Allah's message - without a quistion.
