    Peace onepath,

Welcome to the board. D And you're right, no matter what route you take, at the end of the day it's all between Allah and the individual.

Peace be upon you and welcome to the board!

In The Koran, Allah actually says not to divide Islam into sects and that we Muslims should never join those sects. lol

          Salaam Onepath,

Those who have divided their system and become sects, you are not with them in anything. Their matter will be with God, then He will inform them of what they had done. (6159)

cant they read what allah has told them?

its as clear as day, why cant they follow the word of allah

And when God Alone is mentioned, the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter are filled with aversion; and when others are mentioned beside Him, they rejoice! (3945)

            Peace be upon you.

Thank you for posting those verses from The Koran for us. I agree with onepath that what's written in The Koran by Allah is clear as day. I once tried to explain this to a Hadith follower but he basically told me he believes that The Koran does not have everything in it for us even though Allah says His message for us is detailed and complete. But oh well, it is by the grace of Allah who will be able to follow The Koran by itself.

Sunni is not a CREATED sect, its the traditions following the legacy of our beloved Prophet (saw).

I dont understand how you lot think that the Sunni's are seperate and that hadith texts are deviated.

you dont understand? ill make you understand

the other hadiths were man made, something that is man made is fallible and can be influenced by satan.

many hadiths were moulded to fit the legacy of the ruling classes at the time.

there is only the word , the word of allah

if you choose to follow other hadiths then you are jepordizing your faith,

this is already explained in the quran, i need not tell you this

but because you asked this question, then obviously you still dont understand.

sunni, or any other brand of muslim plays little relevance in this discussion

since islam is between the individual and allah

theres no heirechy, no middle man, no branding, nor divisions,
you dont creat any, nor join any.

                end of story

what middle man have we put in? we are practicing the legacy left behind by the prophet(pbuh). because he was the best example of a muslim. again i must ask what hierarchy are you referring to? shock

some of the hadiths are weak, which go against the teachings of the Qur'an, and some are strong ahadiths. obviously if something sounds ridiculous you simply use your own brain and not believe in it.

Hadiths are the sayings of our beloved prophet (saw), the second generations narrated these.

I still solely follow the Qur'an, AGAIN HADITHS ARE SUPPLEMENTARY FORM of understanding the Qur'anic commandments. First we should find the references in the Qur'an and then go to secondary sources.

I read in some other posts, that sunni's are idol worshippers, Astagfirrilah people here have some deviant thoughts about the practices of Sunni's

                    Salaam,

Thank you for posting those verses from The Koran for us. I agree with onepath that what's written in The Koran by Allah is clear as day. You're very welcome bro.
Well, I encounter a slightly different case. It goes like this. I ask this individual "Do you believe or are you sure that al-qur'an is detailed, and by logic that anything that is detailed must contain all necessary information and examples or study cases so that it lives up to its claim?". The answer was "Yes, I am sure. But Muhammad was the best example in practicing al-qur'an so that we should follow the hadiths too as long as they don't contradict al-qur'an. Thus, Hadiths are a necessity in having a complete understanding of al-qur'an."

For me personally, as long as there is a "But" after saying "I am sure", that basically the same as saying "I am still not sure."

And of course, there are some people who create this formula
Hadiths Shahih = 100% Shahih... or
Rejecting a single shahih hadiths is the same as rejecting all shahih hadiths (to this one I agree though )

                    Oh well...

                    =adley=

babysheep, this is not in the quran, that we should go to "other sources"
the quran is perfect, complete, you dont need another book to follow what allah has layed down before us.

Make yourself understand the quran even if it takes you 1 week to read 1 page, its better than reading 20 pages in one day and not understanding it.

There are some that have memorized the entire quran but cannot tell you the relevance of the verses. because they fail to understand.

what you have to understand is that satan is always going to deter you from reading and understanding the quran.

if you understand the quran and follow allah only guidance you have defeated satan. this is a battle you must overcome, to cleanse yourself and to rid of your dark side that is inside everyone of us.

People tell me if i dont understand the quran i should ask someone higher up than me with more knowledge, but i say theres no need, how did that person gain the knowledge to understand the quran? why am i going to skip the understanding and shoot straight to asking questions? why cant i work hard to understand the meaning of the quran?

but as you said if you want to use other hadiths for reference then do so but...

"You shall not accept any information, unless you verify it for yourself. I have given you the hearing, the eyesight, and the brain, and you are responsible for using them." 1736

Now let me say one last important thing, if you are those people that do use the hadiths to supplement your understanding of the quran, then iam not saying your in the wrong, BUT, you have further complicated your route in following allahs guidance....

                      why?

well you have added another task upon yourself in distinguishing what is more true to quran and what is false, basically you have put upon yourself another burden in following islam.

peace, some verses to ponder about the completeness of the quran

When you read the Quran, we place between you and those who do not believe in the Hereafter an invisible barrier.

We place shields around their minds, to prevent them from understanding it, and deafness in their ears. And when you preach your Lord, using the Quran alone, they run away in aversion.

Another words, if you preach using the Quran alone, the people who don't believe in the hereafter reject it! This also clarifies that believe in the hereafter is not utterances.

The word of your Lord is complete, in truth and justice. Nothing shall abrogate His words. He is the Hearer, the Omniscient.

My question what does COMPLETE mean?

A scripture whose verses provide the complete details, in an Arabic Quran, for people who know.

Again my question what does COMPLETE mean?

Say, "If the ocean were ink for the words of my Lord, the ocean would run out, before the words of my Lord run out, even if we double the ink supply."

If all the trees on earth were made into pens, and the ocean supplied the ink, augmented by seven more oceans, the words of GOD would not run out. GOD is Almighty, Most Wise.

Above clarifies that God doesn't run out of words. Are they trying to say that God is forgetful now? Thats why we need other sources?

The messenger said, "My Lord, my people have deserted this Quran."

Why will Muhammad utter that on the day of judgement?

In their history, there is a lesson for those who possess intelligence. This is not fabricated Hadith; this (Quran) confirms all previous scriptures, provides the details of everything, and is a beacon and mercy for those who believe.

                          what does everything mean?

We have cited for the people in this Quran all kinds of examples, but most people insist upon disbelieving.
Again, God is saying Quran is enough.

We have cited in this Quran every kind of example, but the human being is the most argumentative creature.

And the Quran that is full of wisdom.

                          What does full mean?

We have cited for the people every kind of example in this Quran, that they may take heed.
An Arabic Quran, without any ambiguity, that they may be righteous.
GOD cites the example of a man who deals with disputing partners (Hadith), compared to a man who deals with only one consistent source (Quran). Are they the same? Praise be to GOD; most of them do not know.

Why do they not study the Quran carefully? Do they have locks on their minds?

                          Really, why?

We made the Quran easy to learn. Does any of you wish to learn?

We made the Quran easy to learn. Does any of you wish to learn?

We made the Quran easy to learn. Does any of you wish to learn?

We made the Quran easy to learn. Does any of you wish to learn?

That'd be 4 times God says that Quran is easy to learn. But do you really wish to learn? Saying that Quran is not easy to learn is calling God a liar, Doesn't God know everything in the heavens and earth? He doesn't know what easy and what's not easy?

Once we recite it, you shall follow such a Quran.

                          Who teaches the Quran?

                          The Most Gracious.

                          Teacher of the Quran.

                          peace

living here in morroco, i try and tell my brothers and sisters, they have read these verses, but they still demand other hadiths, they still reject quran as only source.

i only come to a conclusion, they must be deaf, dumb and blind for the truth, the truth allah has layed down before humanity.

We as humans flock to see celebrities, singers and actors. We listen and obey to politicians, dictators. We are allured by the sound of good music and listen carefully to its words and rehearse to them and mimic thier creators. But when our lord allah asks of us to obey, to listen, to understand that we must not reject, we turn our backs, we mock, and we create unimaginable fallacy to twist and cover up the truth that allah has given us.

my friends,my bothers and sisters we are at the greatest challenge of our lives, to stay on the path to allah.

I pray to Allah that this won't happen but i think it will i think in the future we will face a whole new war war between Qur'an alone muslims and other "muslims". I'm not saying that we'll fight with guns but Iraq has already changed.

                              Now they're destroying mosques.

                              As salamu alaykum.

but if there is a war between quran alone and hadith believers, and without guns, well that would change for the better.and yes i know they destroying mosques in iraq, their plan is to vanish religion from the earth, but allah add more light to his light.
iraq has changed, they destroy mosques and build military bases.its proven,no arguing about please, check the facts...but can anyone explain what is that gonna change about islam? i know they just killing muslims and decreasing their number, but what overall change do you mean alen ,or anyone who could answer please feel free.

the wonderfull thing about serving allah in the many ways we do by following the message, by praying, by giving chairty, it will never jepordize our lives infront of the enemy. the enemy being those that oppose us following god alone.

Even if they, for example..locked me up and told me if i pray or utter a word of prayer theyd kill me

Thing is i can sit down or lie down and pray inside my head, i can pray with my heart, only allah knows whats in our heartrs, my prayer will be heard.

i watched some documentry a while back about the schools in france banning the dress code of the hijab or the head scarf, they interviewed one french girl who got expeld because she continued to wear the hijab, she said if she didnt allah will punish her. I really do pity those people, they are so misguided.

I was thinking a while back why cant the islamic world have some spokesman that sets the record straight, that says quran or nothing. Iknow thats just fantasy talk because the spokesman would probably be a Sunni

iam still trying to understand how we have drifted so far from what is written on paper

i mean i look at myself, a 25 yr old male, some call me a confused little boy, but this confused little boy seems to understand what is written in paper, when our scholars and schools of thought seem to be following a honda manual for fixing a toyota engine...

i know its not as simple as that, but let me tell you one thing, this isnt a war between man, and their sects, or their thoughts or their actions, this is a spiratual war, and we must put our trust in allah as satan is with us and constantly persuading us otherwise. theres no way i can open my mouth here in morroco, id be taken to a mental hospital, because thats where confused little boys go....

Peace be upon you One path,

I too share your shock at how so many muslims can be so wrong by following the hadeeth. I was raised a christian but converted to Islam over one year ago, but when I read the Quran I knew it was the truth from God and I converted only about half way threw reading it. I couldnt believe how blind I was before, and so i started trying to learn everything I could about Islam as fast as I could, and then I ran into the sayings and traditions of hadeeth and was again shocked. I couldnt believe how blind the muslims were. It is so simple and obvious, the Quran alone is Gods word, follow only this and Gods guidance you get from it.

I still consider myself a Muslim as thats what God calls us and he calls the religion Islam. So when people find out im a muslim they think im crazy, kinda like they think of you for following Quran alone as a traditional muslim in Morrocco.

I really do get excited when i think of all the possibilities we have as the True Muslims and cant wait to get together with others to form the first ever Tru Muslim community to spread the message that we all know is the final and complete truth from God. We have a very important task that we must carry out. Lets get together, lets get organized, lets do Gods work for the rest of mankind.

                                    Peace,

                                    Kurt

ironsky iam glad someone else is feeling the whole "whats going on?" malarky

when you look at islam on a global scale it saddens you how far we have drifted away, take the nation of islam for example. they believe that god will come down in a spaceship and bomb up all the non-belivers..or so ive been told

they also believe that the founder of the nation of islam wallace ford was some kind of messiah.

i mean i havent studied in depth about this, but when i was reading i just had to halt my progress, cant really be botherd in reading such comical nonsense.

but this proves my aforementioned point going back a few posts, that the challenge to maintain a true path is a great one, and you know what its exciting knowing our purpose in life and how we can achieve it..

                                        peace

the thing is these people have been brought up like this for generations... generations of being told not to ask questions and follow your parents blindly (first-hand experience). So EVERYYTHING they do is about DEFENDING their ways. Their mentality is not the truth but 'no way could that many people be wrong !' or 'no way were our parents wrong !' Its all about ego, they won't admit that they are wrong because they are so drowned by it. They are like 'No No No ! I am right ! And You are wrong ! ' ... 'How dare you question our history!'

Saying that it still befuddles me how they ignore most of the Quranic verses. Like God says in the Quran those with disesease in their hearts will be blind to it.

imram, nice said about 'no way could that many people be wrong !' , thats how they think,in their hearts they know its the truth, but that would mean theyll have to leave all their lives behind, and suffer the concecuences, they like to be in a group, they feel more secure, they see truth as "the majority".
i hope allah subhanuwataala guides them and make them see the truth.
and the nation of islam are a bunch of wackos, and,im not saying im an expert, but they are paid by the gov to do stuff to make all islam look bad, just because they have the word islam in their little boys crew. by the way,i cant remember, and i dont wanna be wrong, but they were the ones who didnt wanted the movie.the message,to appear in a theater in usa north and took hostages ,i cant remember.
