Does anyone have or has used this book?

    al-Mucam ul-Mufahras li-Alfaz il-Quran il-Karim

(please note spelling may differ from above)

    http//www.fadakbooks.com/alallialal1.html

    Pretty cheap too.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

        Peace Wakas,

I think that it is a concordance.

        Best wishes

          Salaamun alaikum,

It's indeed a concordance albeit with some difference from Kassis's concodance. I'm surprised it's spelled 'muCam' when there's no 'ch' (as in 'chair') in Arabic. I think the correct spelling is 'muJam' (as from the root 'jamaa').

One difference is that kassis roots 'madeenah' to 'MDH' while Abdul Baqi roots it to 'DYN' (making more sense to me).

By all means please get it. If nothing else, its advantage over Kassis's concordance is that it allows you to study it in Arabic itself.

            Yes.

            It's called Al-Mu'jam al-Mufahras

It's basically an index of every word that appears in the Reading.

For example If you wanted to look up the word "sun" (shams), you would flip to the header of letter "sh" , and soon you'll find every verse in which the word "shams" appears.

It makes it easy to locate words in the Reading.

The man who compiled it has done a great service to Islam.
