The jewish one? It did indeed "reveal itself" long before the Koran.
          Am I missing something?

if the Taurat constitutes the law giving verses of the Quran ,can we find this example in it(the law giving verses/taurat) ?

Some suggest that the Gospel example of the verse in question is actually that of Mark 427-28. Judge for yourselves!

As for the example in the Torah, I honestly cannot figure out.

                salam all .
a member of the IIPC forum replied to my question about example in torah and injeel here

                salam .
the lectures on Al-Kitab and Taurat/Injeel are very thought provoking ,but i havent understood them 100% . i have some questions . one of them is about 4829

4829 Muhammad is the messenger of God, and those who are with him are severe against the rejecters, but merciful between themselves. You see them yielding and submitting, they seek God's blessings and approval. Their distinction is in their faces, as a result of submitting. Such is their example in the Torah. And their example in the Injeel is like a plant which shoots out and becomes strong and thick and it stands straight on its stem, pleasing to the farmers that He may enrage the rejecters with them. God promises those among them who believe and do good works a forgiveness and a great reward.

if the Taurat constitutes the law giving verses of the Quran ,can we find this example in it(the law giving verses/taurat) ?

                salam.

Those with Muhammad (s.a.w) establish the taurat (law) and (injeel, confirmation of the law and resulting good news) and 4829, mentions their example by virtue of their behavior.

"If only they had established the Law and the Good news (confirmation of law), and what has been revealed to them from their Lord, then they would have indeed consumed (sustenance) from above them and from below their feet. And among them are a balanced community, but their majority do ill acts." Al Maida 566

Rizq (sustenance) from Allah will flow over you if you establish the taurat and injeel as per above promise in the ayat. 4829 gives their (Muhammad's companions) behavior as an example in the law and the good news, as they practise the law.

what do u ppl think ?

be the first to offer ur thoughts...

544 We have sent down the Torah, in it is guidance and a light; the prophets who have surrendered judged with it for those who are Jews, as well as the Rabbis, and the Priests, for what they were entrusted of God's Scripture, and they were witness over. So do not fear the people but fear Me; and do not purchase with My revelations a cheap price. And whoever does not judge with what God has sent down, then these are the rejecters.

545 And We have decreed for them in it that a life for a life, and an eye for an eye, and a nose for a nose, and an ear for an ear, and a tooth for a tooth, and wounds to be similar; and whoever remits anything of it, then it will cancel sins for him. And whoever does not judge with what God has sent down, then these are the wicked.

546 And We sent in their footsteps Jesus the son of Mary, authenticating what was present with him of the Torah. And We gave him the Injeel, in it is guidance and light, and to authenticate what is present with him of the Torah, and a guidance and lesson for the righteous.

the reply i posted at the IIPC forum

first, i had asked about the 4829's example about Muhammad in the taurat . 566 doesnt mention that example .

second , according to the lecture , taurat is the law giving/muhkam parts of the kitab . but Muhammad's example is a description . now also according to the lectures the 'mutashabihat ayat/ahsan al hadees' ayat contains the descriptions , not muhkam ayat .

this seems like a contradiction . how can the muhkam ayat/taurat contain descriptions about Muhammad ?

                      thanks and salam.
