    Dear All

I find this interesting and thought I'd share, can't really think of a way of wording a question but would not mind hearing what others think of revelation, is it not ever the same yet only different as we grow in our awareness and our consciousness and tune into different portions? For God ever is, the same today, tommorrow, yesterday.

    peace,
    Khalil

"... Notice that religious literature is always a reflection of the issues of the people at the time they were written... idea of a vengeful God, a 'fear of God', etc... as human consciousness is growing, as people are seeing things in new ways they had never previously considered... the old religious books, do NOT apply (ie. are no longer useful or meaningful). Those who can make the greatest use of the highest qualities of those books, certainly must be utilized.

Now, some would accuse us (ie. Hilarion) of heresy in speaking of such matters. And we have no problem with that. Not being in a physical body has its advantages - you can't burn us at the stake if you can't find us to burn us in the first place... but you must understand at the core level, what we're really saying here, is that in every one of these great religious books, and we can take this into the Koran, into Bhagavad Gita, into the Upanishads, into the greatest writings of all of the Buddhist disciples, as well as the New Testament, the Old Testament, and of course the Talmud (Judaism) and all various religous writings; in all of these, core, key essential ideas remain (valid). But the (manner of) exposition of those ideas, relate to the time, and the issues of the people then, and so one must not view them through the same filter (interpretation) today. It is through this, that one recognizes the difficulties in most literally working with these religious writings..."

I agree too , most certainly.

I believe also that religions had only one Mission. And the rest was HOW to do it.

          The wise man Ramakrishna said

I am not asking you to give up all of the I. You should give up only the "unripe I." The "unripe I" makes one feel "I am the doer. These are my wife and children. I am a teacher." Renounce this "unripe I" and keep the "ripe I" which will make you feel that you are God's servant, His devotee, and that God is the Doer and you are His instrument.

If one passes through the surface of the scriptures which is related to dealing with the issues of their particular time and circumstances, one will find a common denominator. BECOMING DIVINE and ACTING DIVINE. Once this point is reached the difference between all prophets and scriptures and sects and forms and religiouse knowledge loose their existence. They are all merely the conveyor of ONE message.

          Peace,
