TNR Banned in Malaysia?
-
Salam,
I have just read an e-mail from Kassim Ahmed of Malaysia that a copy of The Natural Republic (TNR) sent to him was held by the ministry of interior.
Is this normal in Malaysia?
The book you sent me is detained at our Internal Ministry. Part of the Government's attempt at keeping the people's faith "pure"! I have written a appeal to release the book to me and I hope they will agree.
Wassalam,

Salam,
Yes I insist that it's very common. I remember Br MQuran told me stuff that it's dangerous to critizise the government and the same goes for different thinkers of Islam.

Peace all,
not much to do with Malaysia or TNR, but when i was looking for a copy of andr? chouraqui's quran translation for a friend, i found it had been forbidden in Morocco, although i had bought it here some time ago.
So guess what would happen to TNR...
