quran vs. science

I am posting this in order to clarify, not to start a baseless argument. If you find anything in the quran illogical feel free to post...
Here is my opinion it has beeen stated/assumed from the verses of the quran concerning embryology... my inquiry is that before scientific discoveries how could a man in arabia have written down all this with just 'inspiration' while the only sources of science were the works of plato and aristotle?(of course, according to the hadith, the prophet was illiterate, which is illogical and "has been propagated to the history books").
surely, after finishing my brief study of the scripture, i conclude that it is enough for mankind for self-improvement of the society(in all aspects)... but does that mean the quran's verses contain all the answers? what was the method god chose to deliver the quran? i doubt it just fell out of the sky...
this question leads to the authenticity of the quran itself. what/who is the 'holy spirit' who inspired to the prophet and for centuries muslims(native arabic speakers who understood the scripture) have read the quran and why couldn't they discover embryology. the answer would be a lack of technological device. but are there other verses in the quran which implies/states other discoveries which is yet to be discovered? feel free to post...
let's approach this simply and logically...

Actually, the so-called 'embryology verses' can be interpreted as such, as referring to stages in human embryology. I haven't researched whether there's anyone at that time (ca. 6th century CE) who has done some empirical research on human embryology, but as an article of faith I believe that the verses are God's words, so I assume that no one but God that told it to His Messenger.
I'm a little skeptical about whether there are other as-yet-unknown scientific discoveries in the Qur'anic verses, after all, the embryology interpretation itself is an 'after-the-fact' explanation, surfacing only in the 70s with Maurice Bucaille's book . I'm not the type that tries to read scientific discoveries into Qur'anic verses, but I'm satisified with the Qur'anic exclamation that there are verses in the heavens and earth, which we should read. That itself should be impetus for us to study the world and its workings.
Btw... advanced technology isn't actually needed to study the stages of embryology. Even the ancients can do it if they have the curiosity, all they need is just a number of pregnant mothers and enough cruelty to kill them in order to cut them open and see how they look inside... evil

well, the quran itself says "And if you are in doubt as to what we have sent down to our servant, then bring a chapter like this, and call upon your witnesses other than god if you sre truthful"(2 23)
so as we can see, the quran simply states that it is perfect, clear and cannot be replicated(in terms of ideology and structure)... my inquiry is how did the message itself came into the mind of a man thus inspiring him to deliver the quran. because according to the history books, he is an illiterate humble man. it's just illogical how the message was inspired to him...
acording to the hadith books, the explanation is that god chose this illiterate humble man to deliver the mesage in the society of chaos and disorder. and the sunnis get away with their claim thus using this verse as a support
"The example of Jesus with God is similar to that of Adam He created him from dust, then He said to him "Be" and he was" (359)
the sunnis use this verse to imply that god could COMMAND and supercede his method of creation.
As a reader, it is now clear why the sunnis get away with unscientific hadiths such as miraaj... because they think that the god could change his universal laws simply if he says "be and it is".
to me, it is clear, why educated people convert to the message of islam(sunniism) despite uneducated hadiths.
but still i cannot answer the some of the questions of the quran concerning jinns, angels and etc... and scientifically what are those beings? are they symbolic material to prove a point? i do not know HOW was the message inspired.

I think i have an explanation (and it's just that, my explanation) about the "How?" part. I think we can all be a messenger or a prophet.
Muhammad, we can assume by reading the quran, was a very intelligent person. Maybe he was illiterate, but he wasn't dumb. He knew stuff.
A few years ago, the saudi gov't actually called up a few scientists from the US to confim the 'scientific miracles' in the quran. They concluded that any educated arab at that time could have known those facts (i don't know which ones they really discussed). But the sunnis believe that muhammad was illiterate, so there was no possible way of him knowing all those facts, so the saudis concluded that scientists had confirmed that the quran contains scientific miracles (when it actually doesn't).
Or maybe it does. Maybe it does contain codes and facts and stuff that are being discovered today. I don't know.
What my point is that, if we assume (like you do) that God didn't dictate verbally the quran to muhammad, then everything in the quran is muhammad's life. It's his experience, his knowledge and wisdom. He learned through experience and whatever he learned, he (or his followers) put it into this book we call the Quran.
That renders all those discussions about 'muhammad's interpretations of the quran' useless because that's what the quran is. Muhammad's interpretations of the laws of nature. -

well, based on what pheonix1 said, how do you prove the fact that the quran IS the interpretation of the life of mohammed USING THE QURAN ITSELF.
i don't know, it's your claim and you shall prove it. )
in several places of the quran, it has been stated to obey god and obey the messenger... i doubt someone would write something like that in their biography. clearly, the messenger would not mention his name in the quran if his life was based on god alone...
just think about it! )
