Regarding 8123 the Arabic read Wa laqad ra-aahu bil ufuuqil mubiini
First of all, I don't think that hu must refer to person, hence the "him" in the translation. Because hu can also mean it as in 6940 which read Innahu laqawlu rasuulin kariimin. This time hu cannot mean a person as I understand it, but something.Thus, I understand 8123 better as And he saw it by the clear horizon with "it" means whatever he saw by the clear horizon. What makes me intrigued is the relationship between 531 with 8115. Now, this is not a sci-fi, but I take it that a "receding/collapsing star" is just another name for blackhole. However, witnessing and experiencing this phenomena (how exactly I have no idea) first hand was of course amazing to say the least. And what would you think if you are a 7th century dude being explained about blackholes and stuffs? That's why 8122 and 532 are needed. Additional details such as 538-12 just makes these ayats much more interesting. ;D
At least that is how I view it as of today. Perhaps anyone with a greater understanding might help us out. ;D

Well actually bro, my Indonesian quran inserts the word "Jibril" in the brackets for that ayat. However, I still cannot see the reason for that. Do you have some info regarding this? Thanks.

The context is clear man, i know the sura very well, it can't be that he saw Allah, because Allah can't be seen yet, if you see the verses before it you will see that it is talking about Jebril teaching Mohammad the Quran, also Mohammad never claimed to have seen Allah, but I will have a look at the verses again and see if I can do a walk through later as I'm at work currently
