Are there contradictions in the Quran?

I already wrote an article on this, it is on the forum. yaum doesn't mean specificaly day, but a period of time. It refers to stages, timeperiod,days and so on. Also it never says it takes exactly the same time periods for every stage, it just says that it took 6 timeperiods, not refering to that every period took the same amount of time.

That's no contradiction. Pay attention the 'six days' 'sittatin ayyamin' verses refers to the creation of the universe, and the two days verses refers to the creation of the earth only, and the rest are not 'creation acts' because the word 'khalaq' 'create' is not used after the two days.
I've debated this point with the xtian Apple Pie last year, I think the debate is still on the forum, but in a nutshell, there are no six days/two days contradiction there. Hope that helps.

I need some alleged contradictions in here and I will slam dunk it for sure, those who know the arabic quran well can slam dunk any alleged contradiction, many of those alleged contradictions are so funny though, good for a quick laugh, at the end of the day laughter is good for you

Yes, the 'alleged' contradictions you can slam dunk them, but the 'real ones' you can only bark at with woof woofs, blah blahs and tuty fruities. Not one refutation to the 'real' (not alleged) contradictions which I presented earlier have you managed to slam dunk, but simply twisted them around with looooong lengthy, deceitful and irrelevant issues; hopping and circling around for defence. bravo
Needless to say, the verses of the Quran were collected from parchments, some narrated, compiled and revamped togther by groups of fallible MEN (scribes - 8015), and not mythical angels with wings running around from town to town as 'safaras'. brickwall Because of such "patch-works" by MEN to form a book in three dialect versions (one of which became supreme over others after the original got destroyed), one can clearly see repetitions presented of identical scenarios/events that throttled inconsistencies and contradictions as shown afew. With all the ahadiths collected thus far, this particular one became the best hadith syncronized and remastered with chapters, numberings, grammatical inventions, sing-a-longs and finally fatwas and the so-called Muslims conveniently welcomed it as 'Allah's Words'. yay And since then they became deficient of understanding it as witnessed till today and continue to misunderstand, making a mockery out it and that of Allah. elektro

guys, instead of arguing, why don't we give this "contradictions discussion" another chance. Make another thread and deal with the alleged contradictions one by one. And even if that won't change any of your beliefs, it will clear up things for others. And keep the drama out.

'Danish court' is yet another one of those hubs for mischief. The Glorious Qur'aan has given plenty of rejoinders to such 'courts.' For example "And those who will not witness vanity, but when they pass near senseless play, pass by with dignity." (2572)
