    Peace,

It is not an isolated being, seperated from us, His knowledge, power and all is seperated from us, but our knowledge and all isn't seperated from Him. He is everything and beyond that. All is one. And we can't even understand what All is, as it is infinite of infinite, and All-compassing, All-pervading. God is the only ungraspable. Some say, He is all conciousness combined, but this gives a limit to God, as there are only so much conciousness.

Read my article if you haven't already

    http//www.free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=5636.0

This is my best understanding as God is unlimited and cannot be described, He can only be 'approached'....

Salam and thanks for your reply.

Why the concept of one is so important. What it really means? Understanding of the people of the past and even people of today have driven this 1 God concept to a quantitative/directtive level. I understand that we never understand what God it. But isn't there a deeper meaning there when God wants us to know he is one. Is this 1 God concept describing the unity everything, before and after the creation of the universe? I suddenly got really excited to learn/share this with people here, as it is a very important thing to ponder upon I think. I think sometimes its better not getting into these discussion, as God is not 1,2,3 or 4 or X or whatever, but why he want us to believe he is one?

Read my article and you'll know. He wants us to know that, because it is haq, the truth. All is united. All is one. People always refered to single attributes, praying to the made up idol vertility and so on, dividing God, and making people claim certain attributes were only known or appproachable throught them. But focussing on one attribute is liking i would talk to your hand, and not to the complete you. God is one, means He is all attributes, and no one can claim only he has access to God or a certain attribute. All creation and beyond is one. So God tells us multiple things with this. I think i explained good enough in my article.....

        Peace

          Peace,

In the realm of mathematics also all quantities are a mere accumulation of ONE! They are MAnifestations of ONE!

          peace,

            Peace be upon you Arnold,

I disagree respectfully, there is no knowledge but the God's knowledge which God shares with us. SO we are not seperated from anything, we just have to BRING IT OUT (EDU-CATE) of our being. We share in the omniscience in quality but not quantity.

              Peace be upon you,

What Quran means by one God? Is it an isolated singularity which controls/knows everything, or is it a "single" unifying force before the creation and comprehended/controlled everything after it created everything/universe?

              What is 1 God?

The One Consciousness that manifests through all beings. You are not conscious of things, you are consciousness ITSELF! ;D

I am not talking about "mind" as the mind is only a tool of consciousness.

The problem is that most people identify with the emotions or the mind rather than the CONSCIOUSNESS at the core of all Life.

Why the concept of one is so important. What it really means?

Our minds it seems can only think in the terms of cause and effect. It does not seem to operate in any other ways. Perhaps this is due to the fact that we live in a linear time. Therefore our minds traces the Ultimate Cause (the things that set everything rolling) to God - the Uncaused.

But recent advances in Holographic Principle are indicationg perhaps there was no Ultimate Cause. There was no begining, middle or end...everything is just is. Everything so intricateley inter-connected...

Thats just another way of looking at things...

But all human beings have experienced an "one-ness" within and this they have related to "God"...

                Regards,

What i meant is, that we cannot 'force' any knowledge except what God allows us to know. So you misunderstood me....
