    Hi there,

I'm in the process of translating this article
    http//www.free-minds.org/articles/politics/democracy.htm

And in it, i found 2462 quoted as
Certainly, believers are those who believe in God and His Messenger, and when they are with him concerning AMRIN (a decision, command, decree) , JAAMIIN (comprehensive, broad, general, universal), they dont hold a view until they are informed about it. Certainly, those who inform you are those who believe in God and the Messenger. So when they inform you about some of their concerns then listen to whoever you will of them and ask forgiveness for them. (2462)

However, when I compare to other translations, I can't find this translation to match the other in the least. Free-minds version goes like

The believers are those who believe in God and His messenger, and when they are with him in a meeting, they do not leave him without permission. Those who ask permission are the ones who do believe in God and His messenger. If they ask your permission, in order to tend to some of their affairs, you may grant permission to whomever you wish, and ask God to forgive them. God is Forgiver, Merciful.

The first uses the words "inform" and "view", the other however uses "leave" and "permission".

Can anyone explain to me which is the correct one, and why?

      Peace

as far as i believe the most correct translation for

      (62)

As far as I believe, the translation by Y A is good enough

YUSUFALI Only those are believers, who believe in Allah and His Messenger when they are with him on a matter requiring collective action, they do not depart until they have asked for his leave; those who ask for thy leave are those who believe in Allah and His Messenger; so when they ask for thy leave, for some business of theirs, give leave to those of them whom thou wilt, and ask Allah for their forgiveness for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

      Salam
