Yes, I think so.
For me, it is a living book. Everytime I read it, I find so many verses that apply to me, and it's amazing with what precision they apply. It's like they were specifically revealed just for me. The thing that we take advantage of is that the Qur'an is 1400 years old. The mere fact that verses still apply to us today is in itself miraculous. We need to realize how truly universal the Qur'an is. Let's take verse 3335 for example
The submitting men, the submitting women, the believing men, the believing women, the obedient men, the obedient women, the truthful men, the truthful women, the steadfast men, the steadfast women, the reverent men, the reverent women, the charitable men, the charitable women, the fasting men, the fasting women, the chaste men, the chaste women, and the men who commemorate GOD frequently, and the commemorating women; GOD has prepared for them forgiveness and a great recompense.
This verse equates men and women. 1400 years ago in an Arab society where women were very much below men, the Qur'an equates them. This is truly amazing.
There are many, many things within the Qur'an that blatantly go against the beliefs of that time. And some of those things just happen to be science today. These facts should be signs for sincere people.

Is not the Quran somewhat ingrained in history ?salam alaikum .
yes some people say that all the events mentioned in the Koran must be happening(in some way) at present also . thats is what they mean by "a living book" .
i m not very sure about this understanding . because the Koran mentions the past , present as well as future events . i.e it talks in past, present and future tenses . so i believe that those events must be limited to their respective eras .

Salaamun alaikum,
AQ Soon we will show them signs on the horizon and in their souls until it's made clear to them that THIS IS AL-HAQQ...(41/53).
AQ's property of being a living prophecy of the human being is what it puts forward as proof of its divinity.
How does this property manifest in our engagement with AQ? Well, we need to begin with the notion that we are in fact reading our own story. AQ thoroughly rejects the notion of historical momentousness where some first generation did all sorts of things while we in this century can never hope to rival them in piety and achievement. Rather its concepts are like vessels, waiting to be filled by a human agency, to act in the sunna its been decreed. In that way, our destiny has been predetermined. All we have to do is choose which vessel we want to fill.

Peace,
I agree with Openmind. It's beautiful and alive in the sense that when I read it, I can see what's happening around me and inside me today written in a book like it just knows...sometimes its spooky tbh.

Salaam OpenMind,
Are you really 14? Man, I wish I was like you in my younger days.
For me personally, the quran is the only book that ever made my cry. Even though I was a Sunni, I only start reading it when I was in my 20s (hmm... perhaps "Even though" is not the right choice here). In short, it truly taught (and still teaching) me about my self and its relation to the world.

The Quran is a living book as the universe is a living entity. The universe is disclosing itself to mankind as man is advancing in science. The Quran has the same potentials, only if mankind explored it.
My belief in the Quran made me accept the life-world-view of commonsense. Otherwise I would have been a skeptic or a solipsist. Life would have been a meaningless, purposeless and futile struggle. And probably suicide would have been the best ethical/ rational/ courageous deed to me.
The Quran is ?light upon light?, while without it, life would have been ?darkness upon darkness?. (see ch24/v35 and ch24/v40)
