Do ghosts exist?

I have never personally seen a ghost, but my gran' mama says she saw a ghost. shock I know and believe that satan exists (because God says so) and his descendents (jinns) too, but are there ghosts - you know the main characters of horror movies with scarry faces, awesome powers and a hearbroken story behind their evilness.
Oh, speaking of which, people say souls that had "unfinished business" on this earth, never leave it even after dying and become ghosts to seek revenge. But isn't this stupid though, because once a person dies, God has full control of their souls, God is not going to tell them to live on the earth and scare the earthings, right?

I don't believe in ghost as they are described in movies like that.
But I believe in spirits that can contact us and often the spirits from dead family members.
I follow a tv-serie in swedish channel and it's name the unknown.This is about people in Sweden who feels disturbed of activities in their homes and they seek help from very good mediums to solve their problems.
And it's incredible because the medium don't know a thing before entering the haunted house but we the tv ordians we get a picture of events happen in the house and It's so amazing that the medium can feel the spirit in the house and even tell it to stop haunted the house and the people living there and so on.
I have seen before similiar program but they are bluff but this program is so real and I really think the medium are honest.
I have myself feel the activities of spirits in many house I have lived in.And my youngest son he must have seen a spirit or something when he was 1 year old and couldn't talk but he pointed with his finger suddenly when we sat downstairs in the sofa he pointed at the stairs which leading upstairs and he fell of the sofa of frighten but I couldn't see anything but I felt that it became so cold in the room.
And I often hear steps from the upper appartment even if I know no one is there.Happens when I'm alone at home.Peace

Ghosts are very very real. Make no mistake. If you do not believe me, go to a graveyard and take pictures. you will find out in 1 month if they are real or not. Here in UK, there is a series called Ghost Hunters. Omg, the first episode i saw, i couldnt walk up the stairs. I was so frightened LOOOOOOOOOOOL. they recorded a voice of a child saying "They dont want us here". MAn!!!!! it was bluddy scary. Children and Animals can see ghosts, angels..etc etc..

I suggest you watch the show Bullshit with Penn and Teller in regards to your ghost hunters. There was an episode on that. A very funny one at that. If you're partial to nudity then close your eyes in the beginning where the naked ghosts first come in. lol

That's a really really good show, It's on the channel FX289 in the UK, number 270 on Sky Digital.
It strikes me as amusing that a couple of professional magicians who's job it is to fool people for the audiences entertainment would host such a matter-of-fact show P

Bullshit with Penn and Teller? I have never heard of this show before. is it aired in uk? The show that im talking about, Ghost Hunters, it was like a real life TV show. I will get more info on it. It comes on Sky One Channel 106. Im not kidding about this show. The first episode i watched, i couldnt move in darkness.. i was that scared lollllllllllll. Im also scared when i play Doom 3. Then i cant even sleep looooooooooooooooooollllllllllllll. So now, i have stopped playing Doom 3 loooooooooooooool. I couldnt go ahead level 3. looooool oh mannn so funny. lol

Yes, ghosts exist but only dogs can see or communicate with them. Ever wondered why some dogs sit staring somewhere intently? Thats when it's happening indeed...not because they might be myopic and/or hearing something from that direction.

Demonic beings changing form do exist according to Quran. Just look at the following verse
"Throw down your staff." When he saw it moving like a demon(JAAN from jinn), he turned around and fled. "O Moses, do not be afraid. My messengers shall not fear.
So yes they are there even if we dont know much about them yet, they are witnessed every now and then in totally different parts of the world. Definitely not a coincidence. And btw not all demons are evil. This is what the Quran makes clear in
"Some of us are righteous, and some are less than righteous; we follow various paths."

Peace all. I believe ghosts are beings from another dimension(including dead people,maybe jinns) who can communicate with us. My wife and her family have some experience of 'spirits' wandering in their house.
I believe that sometimes a person is treated unjustly(ie murdered) and 'haunts' a certain location in order to tell people how or why they where murdered. This could explain why some 'unsolved' murders get solved years after the event. A skilful medium can connect with the spirits and relay the information to the relevant people. This is what yusuf may have been doing when interprating visions and dreams. Of course this information can be used(by harmful people) for harmful purposes as well.
Note also,some animals seem to be in touch with certain spirits which raises their awareness of events.(such as perceiving death/disaster). Intuition or esp(extra sensory perception) may be another dimension of communication.

Hi I am new but this topic caught my eye as it has always been a major interest of mine and i actually belong to a group of guys who do some paranormal research.
My position on this is that something does seem to be going on but whether or not it is the not so restful spirits of mortals who have passed on or some yet unexplained anomaly is still up in the air.
Ghosts and tales of ghosts seem to be part of our folklore regardless of where a person hails from and I am beginning to think that the very first ghost stories may have been told around caveman camp fires.
Every language in the world has a word for ghost...or the concept of someone walking about after they have died. Even in the remote forests of the amazon, tribes with very little to do with western culture and movies etc will know what you are talking about.
I think that this is an experience that all walks of humanity have encountered and has lasted thousands of years.
Actually if one considers there to be a God or a Creator Spirit, the idea of ghosts or earthbound or visiting spirits is not too far fetched.
I have myself seen things that have been hard to explain although perhaps scientifically they can be explained. I was at a friend's house and saw a water bottle jump up and then fall on the floor. It didn't just topple over but actually lifted up and then went down.Anyways I suppose that is not proof conclusive but it made me look twice lol. Nice to be here and I hope to post more. I am looking for a nice place to post without a lot of hassle and crap )

both cats and dogs react to movement we dont observe at all. A single floth of dust can be enough to paralyse the animal while its trying to figure out to attack, be alert or ignore this movement.
Ghosts is all in our heads. There are many things that can make you see ghosts, spirits, angels and what not. Vibration can create this phenomena aswell. if they are real or not is not really important to us here and now.
After several run ins with "things that werent there", i have come to the conclusion that they are my own mental images. My own constructs that the brain pulls out from the storehouse to cover up for something its observing byt doesnt know how to interpretate.This universe if FULL of strange shit, and its not ghosts. But how can you explain something you have no idea in the world what is? Study shows that as much of 50% of what we see, is merely what we expect to see. The brain is as the rest of us, lazy.
