    peace all,

O ye who believe! GUARD YOUR OWN SOULS If ye follow (right) guidance, no hurt can come to you from those who stray. the goal of you all is to Allah it is He that will show you the truth of all that ye do. 5105

WHOEVER DOES GOOD, IT IS FOR HIS OWN SOUL, and WHOEVER DOES EVIL, IT IS AGAINST HIMSELF; then you shall be brought back to your-- Lord. 4515.

And guard yourselves against a day in which you shall be returned to Allah; then EVERY SOUL SHALL BE PAID BACK IN FULL WHAT IT HAS EARNED, and they shall NOT be dealt with UNJUSTLY. 2281.

Then how will it be when We shall gather them together on a day about which there is no doubt, and EVERY SOUL SHALL BE FULLY PAID WHAT IT HAS EARNED, and THEY SHALL NOT BE DEALT WITH UNJUSTLY? 325.

This day EVERY SOUL shall be rewarded FOR WHAT IT HAS EARNED; no INJUSTICE (shall be done) this day; surely Allah is quick in reckoning. 4017.

"On the Day when EVERY SOUL WILL BE CONFRONTED WITH ALL THE GOOD IT HAS DONE, and ALL THE EVIL IT HAS DONE, it will wish there were a great distance between it and its evil. But Allah cautions you (To remember) Himself. And Allah is full of kindness to those that serve Him." 330.

And the earth shall beam with the light of its Lord, and the Book shall be laid down, and the prophets and the witnesses shall be brought up, and judgment shall be given between them WITH JUSTICE, and THEY SHALL NOT BE DEALT WITH UNJUSTLY. 3969.

And EVERY SOUL SHALL BE PAID BACK FULLY WHAT IT HAS DONE, and He knows best what they do. 3970.

And your Lord will most surely PAY BACK TO ALL THEIR DEEDS IN FULL; surely He is aware of what they do. 11111.

NAY! DO THOSE WHO HAVE WROUGHT EVIL DEEDS THINK THAT WE WILL MAKE THEM LIKE THOSE WHO BELIEVE AND DO GOOD-- that their life and their death shall be equal? Evil it is that they judge. 4521.

And Allah created the heavens and the earth with truth and THAT EVERY SOUL MAY BE REWARDED FOR WHAT IT HAS EARNED and THEY SHALL NOT BE WRONGED. 4522.

Say YOU WILL NOT BE QUESTIONED AS TO WHAT WE ARE GUILTY OF, NOR SHALL WE BE QUESTIONED AS TO WHAT YOU DO. 3425.
Say Our Lord will gather us together, THEN WILL HE JUDGE BETWEEN US WITH THE TRUTH; and HE IS THE GREATEST JUDGE, the All-knowing. 3426.

SAY DO YOU DISPUTE WITH US ABOUT ALLAH, and HE IS OUR LORD and YOUR LORD, and WE SHALL HAVE OUR DEEDS and YOU SHALL HAVE YOUR DEEDS, and we are sincere to Him. 2139.

This is a people that have passed away; THEY SHALL HAVE WHAT THEY EARNED and YOU SHALL HAVE WHAT YOU EARN, and YOU SHALL NOT BE CALLED UPON TO ANSWER FOR WHAT THEY DID. 2141
    .

According to the above verses the most important message for us is ?to worry about our own deeds/conducts/souls?, because that is what really will matter on the Judgment Day, the keys to success or failure.

It is apparent from the above verses that nothing will be deducted from my good deeds because of the faults of the others, and nothing will be added to my deeds because of the good works of others.

Sadly! Mullahs in Pakistan rarely quote such verses; the result is that in general, people here are more concerned about tauntingly pointing out the flaws of the others, rather then looking into their own flaws and correcting them. This psyche has been the root cause of many violent conflicts in my country and the subcontinent, especially when it comes to beliefs, ?sectarian or interfaith?.

I fail to comprehend, why some people/groups/sects etc believe only they have the divine right to point out and criticize the flaws/conducts/beliefs of the others ? But when the tables are turned on them, they themselves react with little or with zero tolerance, and in their anger they often ignore/violate the same commandments of al-kitab that they love to quote/preach.

DO YE ENJOIN RIGHT CONDUCT ON THE PEOPLE, and FORGET (TO PRACTISE IT) YOURSELVES, and yet ye study the Scripture? WILL YE NOT UNDERSTAND? .

REPEL EVIL WITH THAT WHICH IS BEST We are well acquainted with the things they say. 2396.

Nor can goodness and Evil be equal. REPEL (EVIL) WITH WHAT IS BETTER Then will he between whom and thee was hatred become as it were thy friend and intimate! 4134.
And no one will be granted such goodness EXCEPT THOSE WHO EXERCISE PATIENCE AND SELF-RESTRAINT,- NONE BUT PERSONS OF THE GREATEST GOOD FORTUNE. 4135.

Say to My servants that THEY SHOULD (ONLY) SAY THOSE THINGS THAT ARE BEST for Satan doth sow dissensions among them For Satan is to man an avowed enemy. 1753.

It is important for us to understand that SELF-CORRECTION; ?by worrying and mending/correcting our own deeds? is the essence of the message in al kitab, and it also is a way to peaceful co-existence.

We have to impose RIGHT CONDUCT on ourselves before preaching it to the others.

We ARE commanded to INSTRUCT RIGHT CONDUCT and FORBID INDECENCY, but it must be unforced, It must flow from the other?s own will, and cannot be forced on them.

Remind them, for thou art but A REMEMBRANCER, 8821
Thou art not at all A WARDER OVER THEM. 8822.

We know best what they say, and YOU ARE NOT ONE TO COMPEL THEM; therefore REMIND HIM by means of the Quran WHO FEARS MY THREAT. 5045.

The best approach to invite others to the way of Allah is

Invite to the Way of thy Lord WITH WISDOM and BEAUTIFUL PREACHING; and ARGUE WITH THEM IN WAYS THAT ARE BEST and MOST GRACIOUS for thy Lord knows best, who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance. 16125.

And please remember ?Allah alone is the LORD of the day of judgment? it is only his decision which will matters in the end.

    1. Say Every one acts according to his manner; but your Lord best knows who is best guided in the path.

    2. Have you not considered THOSE WHO ATTRIBUTE PURITY TO THEMSELVES? Nay, ALLAH PURIFIES WHOM HE PLEASES; and they shall not be wronged the husk of a date stone.

We are commanded in 548, ?To STRIVE WITH ONE ANOTHER TO HASTEN TO VIRTUOUS DEEDS?, and that is what we should all concentrate on.

Allah increaseth in right guidance those who walk aright, and THE GOOD DEEDS WHICH ENDURE, ARE BETTER IN THY LORD'S SIGHT FOR REWARD, and BETTER FOR RESORT. 1976.

Peace and God bless you all. peace

I agree with you that there is no compulsion in deen. I think the best way to influence others is by setting an example. People tend to admire words but feel compelled by actions. It's like the old random act of kindness effect. I do something for a complete stranger that I didn't have to do, and most likely that person will be so moved by me that they'll share the love with someone else.
I really like this topic, excellent work!

        peace agent and all

        great post.

couple of more verses in relation

5105 O you who believe, you are responsible for yourselves; none who are misguided can harm you if you are guided. To God is your return, all of you, and then He will inform you of what you have done.

244 Do you order the people to do good, but forget yourselves, while you are reciting the Scripture? Do you not understand?

1784 Say "Let each work according to his own. Your Lord is fully aware of who is best guided to the path."

        God bless

        Peace,

        Imran

Thank you very much S2S for your response ) I agree with you that the best way to influence others is by setting examples through your good conduct

Kind speech and forgiveness is better than charity followed by injury; and Allah is Self-sufficient, Forbearing.2263.

O mankind! Lo! We have created you male and female, and have made you nations and tribes that ye may know one another. Lo! THE NOBLEST OF YOU, IN THE SIGHT OF ALLAH, IS THE BEST IN CONDUCT. Lo! Allah is Knower, Aware. 4913.

those who are best in conduct are noblest in the sight of Allah, and only they can have a positive influence on the others.

          peace
          God bless you.

              peace all,

For Hajj are the months well known. If any one undertakes that duty therein, Let there be no obscenity, nor wickedness, nor wrangling in the Hajj. And whatever good ye do, (be sure) Allah knoweth it. And take a provision (With you) for the journey, but THE BEST OF PROVISIONS IS RIGHT CONDUCT. So fear Me, o ye that are wise. 2197.

Say "It is not in my power to cause you harm, or TO BRING YOU TO RIGHT CONDUCT." 7221.

That which is on earth We have made but as a glittering show for the earth in order that We may test them as to which of them are BEST IN CONDUCT. 187

Has not the story reached you of those who rejected Faith aforetime? So they tasted THE EVIL RESULT OF THEIR CONDUCT; and they had a grievous Penalty. 645

              God bless you all,
              peace

                Salaam agentxxx,

Great post, I totally agree with you and I can only hope that others see that what you have referred to in the Quran is the essence of making one's faith truly practical. Good deeds are part of what it takes to earning the success of the hereafter.

I believe that the next step for me is to make an exceptional practical conduct of my belief in the Quran. I believe that those of us who claim to follow God alone should be on the forefront of righteousness and have impeccable character by which to set an example.

I just hope that those of us that post on these forums come out of the shadow of the internet and start meeting other like-minded Muslims and get to work on organising/mobilising a group in their area to spread the message and make a team effort in good deeds. Imagine how much we could change for the better if we organised a physical community?

Anyone in London feel free to join in this discussion - http//www.free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=5535.0

                  peace and salam stitch,

stitch-Good deeds are part of what it takes to earning the success of the hereafter.

Thank you brother stitch, every day I come across yet another verse confirming that our deeds/conduct/actions will be the crucial criterion through which we will be judged.

                  Sura 53
Yea to Allah belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth; SO THAT HE REWARDS THOSE WHO DO EVIL ACCORDING TO THEIR DEEDS and HE REWARDS THOSE WHO DO GOOD WITH WHAT IS BEST.

I have not been able to find any verse that says ?faith alone? is the key to success on the JD?

                  Sura 16
What is with you must vanish what is with Allah will endure. And WE WILL CERTAINLY BESTOW ON THOSE WHO PATIENTLY PERSEVERE THEIR REWARD ACCORDING TO THE BEST OF THEIR ACTIONS. 96

WHOEVER WORKS RIGHTEOUSNESS man or woman and HAS FAITH verily to him will We give a new life a life that is good and pure and WE WILL BESTOW ON SUCH THEIR REWARD ACCORDING TO THE BEST OF THEIR ACTIONS. 97

Deeds/conduct will be the decisive factor on the judgment day and they are what really matter in the present life too, a good and peaceful society is not the one where the majority of people have faith, but the society where the majority practices right conduct?action speaks louder then the words, our deeds are reflections of our beliefs.

stitch-I believe that the next step for me is to make an exceptional practical conduct of my belief in the Quran. I believe that those of us who claim to follow God alone should be on the forefront of righteousness and have impeccable character by which to set an example.

                  indeed angel bravo

                      peace all,

                      1. Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the Last day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord, and there is no fear for them, nor shall they grieve.

                      God bless you all,
